I never used to get ‘generic’ gifts for Mother’s Day etc other than the occasional bunches of flowers / chocolates. I’d think outside the box and put a gift bag together of things my Mum liked as she was quite fussy, things like hot water bottles (she suffered with chronic pain too and loved her hot water bottles as much as I do, can never have enough as they eventually wear out / burst!), she loved sudoku / crossword puzzle books, fluffy socks for bed, slippers, her favourite chocolate, she was really into her knitting so sometimes I’d buy her a knitting book or some good quality wool which she’d been after, or a bag for her knitting accessories, just little things like that. Not all mums like make up, perfume etc, so you have to get creative lol. If you place kitchen towel on top of those large foil trays, you can reuse them for Easter if you just give them a wash down :) they’re sturdy enough to withstand a little wash. I’ve reused them before and they come up lovely.
I feel the exact same, my mum doesnt drink either like alot of mums but she does like a selection of chocolates and some nice flowers, sometimes il even take her out for dinner as well as she just prefers that to all the tat, good idea about the kitchen roll on the platter then i can use them again, i didnt even think of that 🥰
@@HannahCross98 My mum never drank either! Drives me a bit bonkers how Mother’s Day seems to ‘just’ be catered to Mums who drink / wear make up etc! Nothing wrong with that but what about all the others, you know?! lol. And how many mugs do Mum’s need.. really? 🤣 Yeh I reused mine!! They’re so sturdy! You’ve got your hands full with back to back parties, you’ll be absolutely knackered. Better stock up on those mini egg Easter eggs to hide yourself away and recover lol, you’ll have deserved it!! xx
Love your hauls Hannah . Love how you admit to some times meals that people moan about . All that matters is food in the kiddies tummy . Never change xx😊
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words, i just feel like sometimes as a mum you get judged no matter what you do or feed your kids, so sometimes it is nice to hear that other people do the same, i am a firm believer that as long as my children go to bed with full bellies then i have well as a mum
