Hello!! My tree is still up but I added red heart and Valentine's stuff to it. My tree I do all gold ornaments so it isn't too Christmasy and, still have my outside lights up. A neighbor and I still turn the lights on outside every night! But I put all Christmas decor away.

We recently bought 2 new area rugs - one for the dining room & one for a bdrm. Our two grown grandsons came & moved the necessary furniture, cleaned the floors & put down the rugs. Those boys are a blessing ❣️ We love how everything looks.!
If the little birds have white bellies theyre juncos i absolutely love them. The love bird feeders! The squirrels are wonderful! Love how you talk to them! Ive been known to sing a lullaby or two to the bunnies in our yard and they actually go to sleep lol!
Yes they do have white bellies. I had never seen them before and all the sudden a bunch of them showed up ❤️❤️
I guess a friend told them I feed everyone 😂

@@jodidunnmymessylife1847 it's sooo darn cute hearing you talk with "everyone" I've often wondered if my neighbors hear me and thing I've lost my mind! Lol! Anyway the birds and animals like it. I had to save a nest of house finches and somewhat help raise them they got so used to me they'd come when I called Little birds! And fly around my head. They came back two summers then I guess they died off I never had them back again
Texas Sheet Cake is my grandchildren's favorite, I have to make it every time any of my grandchildren come to see me. Love it!!

The weather has been beautiful this week. So I went outside and cleaned my screened in back porch. My husband scrubbed everything down. He was so excited by how good it looks!

When you repot a plant I would use fresh potting soil and water the plant until the water runs through the bottom of the pot. In the winter I will set my plants in the shower with tepid water and give them a good watering and shower to clean the leaves. I will leave them in the shower until the pots have drained well. This has always been a good thing for me.
I tend to not waste the aroid mix because it’s not cheap and yes the water always drains through quickly especially since it’s such a well draining mix ❤️
One more comment, I have four new houseplants because of you lol. After watching your videos I decided that my house needs the greenery and I am missing the flowerbeds so much and I am absolutely loving them! Now my pothos have friends.

What kind of plants did you get?
@ bird nest fern, dracaena lemon lime, asterisk ivy and a ZZ plant. I don’t have a whole lot of light in my home so I am starting easy. I had an unknown plant and a few pothos already.
We had that stove. It was miserable to clean. We now have an induction stove. It fit in the same spot, so no new countertops were needed. It is SOOO easy to clean!

Pothos have become my new favorite plant and I have several. I also have the wandering jew that goes crazy and it’s absolutely beautiful…they are so easy to propagate..Literally take one of the leaves and put it in the dirt. Plants make the room feel lively. I love it!

So good to see you again Jodi! Love the sweatshirt!! I have to tell you - last weekend I got rid of all my plastic contains from my drawers/cabinets and replaced them with glass. OMG I have wanted to do that for some time and finally did and love it. I literally open the drawer to see how pretty it looks! lol. See you next week!
I have baked this cake many times for my family. You can also bake it in a 9 x 13 pan. So good!!
My ceramic trees are the last to take down I have my mom's and my mother inlaw a white and a green one ❤ i love them both so much

EFIT: I do my oven racks in trash bags overnight outside. It's so much better afterwards. I use the easy off time free in the blue can.

Squirrels, blue jays & woodpecker were wonderful.
New plant is nice.
I put new plants in tub and shower them to clean them and have any insects hopefully wash away😂
White Sink scratches. Yep I have a cast iron sink, too. A farmers sink mounts underneath and is nice and large and deep. I like them best.

Alocasia go dormant when to cold they do not necessarily die so just wait tell warmer weather to see if it comes back.

A late thank you - for the motivation to clean my bedroom - from your video from last week ! I got it pretty deep cleaned yesterday - including steam mopping the floors and the rug in my bedroom! I didn't get the curtains washed - but its on the 'to still get done' list! 😅

Christmas has been down since mid January. It was harder this year since we had snow in January.
Love all your squirrel friends. Mine hang out at the bird feeders until they see the kitchen light come on. Then they dash to the patio, waiting for the door to open and me bringing out their breakfast. I've called them the breakfast club for years 😊

You're becoming quite the Mother Natsure! It's so cute when you talk to them so sweet & how I would be, too! Your plants look lovely! I have the same sink & the counter tops too. They're a creamy, yellow color, too. My sink gets those marks in them, too. Same cupboards, too or similar. I use the same cleaners! I don't have your stove. I have Tappan with microwave above & burners below & oven! I hope your plants get better! We're in a cold trend here in Eastern Washington! I cut off about 14 stems of my Tradascantia Bubblegum to try to get the main plant to bush out and I lost 4 of the cuttings and all the rest of them have rooted and have new growth. I have about 4 more long stems I could take off the main plant and grow too. They have been very easy to get going for me. I just popped them into some crappy native soil and they've done fine. I water them when I remember or notice that the soil is really dry.

Barkeepers Friend soft cleanser is good for the burner rings if they are metal.
Hi Jodi you got a lot done.Im cleaning I feel I'm finely that I've got my house back in order now from Christmas. I've got my Valentines decor up and got the video out on Sunday home reset. I'm working on my fairy gardens in a tea cup to sale. ##fairygardenthursday. We have fresh snow here in Leithbrige Alberta Canada. I'm dreaming of spring. Hi Jodi, I love Texas sheet cake. Funny thing is I never had it when I lived in Texas for a year when I was a very young teen. I had it in school a bunch in Kentucky growing up and I make it quite a few times a year. I am finally working on cleaning out my spare room a little at a time. Progress not perfection.
I make a peanut Texas Sheet Cake as well. I’ll be 62 on the 9th and my grandma made Texas sheet cake since I was five. We love here in WVa. I got to go to my one daughter’s home in Virginia. We had so much fun. I’m sick now since we came home. Awesome video Jodi 🩵🩷💜🩵🩷💜

There’s a few things you can use on your plants’ leaves to help with dust and make them shiny. Milk, olive oil, and mayonnaise are all good to wipe on the leaves of your plants. Don’t overdue it because you can clog the leaves’ pores, a little goes along way!

Have you considered daylight bulbs for your regular lights in the plant rooms? I believe it is 5000 whatever temp to be daylight but my plants do go towards them if they don't get enough light through the skylight.
Pretty much all the bulbs in my house are daylight because that’s what I prefer. That room doesn’t have many light on though because we don’t use often in the evening. But that’s good to know your plants lean towards it. I’ll remember that ❤️❤️
@jodidunnmymessylife1847 I've been making sure to just leave my bathroom light on when it's been so dark and cloudy.

Pro tip: for your oven racks. Soak them in HOT water in a bathtub. Add dishwasher packs (or liquid dishwasher soap) like Cascade or Finnish. I prefer liquid kind. But whatever you use, just make sure it dissolves. Let them soak for as long as possible. Then use a soap pad (brillo) to scrub down the wires. Works wonderfully! If the racks are reallllly bad, you may have to repeat. The downside, you have to clean your tub afterwards, but it’s not bad. The dishwasher soap keeps the grime from sticking to the tub. 🥰
I’ve thought about doing that but I think taking them when it warms up will just be easier ❤️

Sink mat protector... so many styles and colors and varying prices. This would help protect your sink from the scratches

We finally replaced our 43 year old formica countertops...remodeled kitchen. Yep, they were about indestructible! The kitchen needed the update because, at nearly 80, we will be selling one day. I will miss this place we've lived in for 46 years now.

Pothos is my very favorite!!!
I water mine ev 10-12 days. I also add some (cooled) black coffee every once in a while. Maybe a 1/2 c. I heard there is smg in coffee that helps.
I have 2 big planters of them and 2 in regular pots.
Kathleen I think pothos are my favorite too. I have 6 different varieties now ❤️
I’ve heard that about coffee but we aren’t coffee drinkers so we never have it 🤷♀️

I give all my plants 1 full cup of water each week, same day for routine. They live and thrive. And we r in Northern Ontario so our light isn't as long as yours daily, so that should fix them up.

My cats will not let anything green alone. Doesn’t matter what it is they get into them. You take such great care of your plants! We haven’t had bird friends come visit lately and it makes me sad. A couple weeks ago we had a woodpecker visiting! So pretty! Your squirrels are so cute! We are getting into a cold week here but we should expect it! Have a great week!

Yes take plates and use easy off put them outside with plastic for 4 or 5 hours and then rinse with hot water and there and oil for the plates to look new. We'll am planning to move 😢so that's in my future plans, pray for me, I am going to need to all the help I can get. Have a evening 😊

There is actually a cleaner that stains your burners black again, makes them look brand new!

They were locked baskets my girls used at one point in their school lockers. When they didn’t want them anymore I stuck them on the fridge 😊

Her hair loss and itching has gotten progressively worse over about 4 months time. I do have an update I’ll share next week. Thanks for being concerned about sweetie. Warms my heart!! I’ve been so worried about her 🐿️
@@jodidunnmymessylife1847 I just put some medicine that I got from the vet yesterday on one of our house cats. He's had a spot around his tail that didn't seem to be healing and had a red area. I don't know a lot about it other than it's a terrible little mite. Good luck. I look forward to the update.
