I find this experiment very interesting and looking forward to your experiences. I'm not a swimpro, but a workpro ;-). I found out that swimming in low teperatured water, specially a lake or ocean, calms the body and mind immediately down. I trained swimming during the summer in the lake and ocean, could`t stop in autmn and went a few times in winter. In cold water all stress symptoms suddenly get away, there`s a big silence present and I didn`t experienced this efficiency before. Body and mind felt great all day. The body got used to cold weather. Sleep was better. Greetings from rainy Germany. 🌬🥶🙋♀🙌🙌
So I live in alaska, had a ice bath in the garage I was doing this with but then it hit -45 one day and it froze solid sooo no more ice bath😂 but I have a torn abdominal muscle right now and am really focusing on recovery because I have age groups next week that I’m swimming. RECOVERY MATTERS
Heyy Cody i came to seek advice, this morning at 2 am 5 men tried braking into my house they were breaking windows and throwing bricks me and my dad was up trying to keep them out they broke down the door and we had to fight my dad got bricks thrown at him hes in ICU he has a broken jaw, broken skull, and a few broken vertebrae and alot of cuts i got hit with wips i got lucky but we all fine now my dad is scheduled to go into surgery soon i want to go swim just to let some energy out but i don't know if i should im trying to get better at swimming and don't know what to do maybe a bit of insite from a swimmer to a swimmer.
My coach did this to me once but it was 6 degrees cold and i had to do 10 mins for 2 rounds and before that i always wanted to do ice bath because i always wanted to try it but after it i could not get warm whatsoever, like 10 mins after i was still cold and i couldn't shower yet. And now after that im scared to go in an ice bath but it was also my first time😅😅
Once again, Cody, u do a vlog that nobody else does & very helpful. I do ice bath after practice when I can & it really helps with recovery.
