Today my Filipina girlfriend finally got to try most of the Irish snacks we have to offer everything from Tayto to Mikado. Irish snacks are definitely different from Filipino snacks but she did like quite a few of them, especially the go-to Taytos

The cadburys chocolate produced in USA is under license and has a totally different taste to that in Ireland which is much better.

For me, I have to try eating those various foods a few times more (not just in 1 sitting) and 1 at a time before I will be able to accurately say that they taste good and I like them.

Those Mikado biscuits are called Mallows in the UK, had them when they was younger, not bad but not something I'd buy for myself.
I have to agree with Tom that with crisps, the stronger the flavour, the better they are, especially if they are very crispy.

Club sell cans of Rock Shandy. Also Tayto were the first cheese and onion flavoured crisps in the world, also salt and vinegar.
When i was a kid i loved Kit Kat bars, Reese's peanutbutter cups, and lindt chocolate balls (they came in different flavors). Wise onion rings and lay's sour cream and onion potato chips dipped into actual sour cream.
As an adult, i don't eat any junk food anymore due to health issuss but probably wouldn't ever go back to eating any of that stuff knowing what i know now about nutrition (important of vitamins, minerals, etc) and how detrimental empty calories are on your overall health especially if there is a genetic component involved. I would still say enjoy your life in moderation, but junk food really takes a toll on your quality of life and lifespan if its consistently in your life and not accompanied with majority of healthy whole foods (organic, non-gmo, no artificial flavors, no seed oils, no high fructose corn syrup)

Chippy, clovers, oishi prawn chips , and Boy Bawang cornick are the best and the Philippines has it all 🇵🇭 😊😅❤❤❤

The Elite are very similar to Wagon Wheels in Canada except Wagon Wheels are bigger. There is also a similar one from Taiwan I believe called Coco Pie. I think the ones you call short cake are what other places call short bread.

Tom I am sure you know some things about America. But and you can tell Lay this. You could spend 5000 usd on different snacks and still not have tried half of the snacks here in the US. You could make a video just like this one two times a week for a year and still have not tried all the snacks. With that said then you have the tricks on how to eat some of the snacks that make the snack taste so much better. For example The Kimberly with out the chocolate would be good for dipping in a hot cup of coco. Oatmeal cookies taste great dipped in Coffee or Tea. Now I am just talking about Snacks. I can also say the same for Candies here in the US. Some candy taste even better if they were kept cold or even frozen.
Now if Lay was here in the States her face on cam would tell it all. She would not really have to rate the different snacks or candy because her face would tell it all. Lay would put on at least 20 pounds in 3 months of visiting the US. Tom I think you would hit the 300 pound mark. Remember I told you how to eat a Fish Filet with Tarter sauce? There are so many different ways to eat the foods to make it taste even better. Now knowing you like Fries and Fish if you traveled up US rout 1 on the east coast you would wish to stop at all road side Restaurant just to try the sea foods they offer. US rout 1 goes all the way up and or down the coast from Maine to Key West Florida. I can promise you this. You have never had any real seafood till you tried the Seafood in Maine NH and Mass. Show Lay some of the different ways to cook the Seafood from videos in them states and watch Lay's mouth start to water and by the time the video is done You would be knee deep in Lay's drool. The real trick to cooking any Seafood is simple . Do Not Over Cook the food. Most Seafood you do not have to cook on high heat. Also most seafood does not take long to cook. Lobster for example you boil the water then drop the Lobster head first in the boiling hot water let it boil about 3 to 4 minutes and it is done. Over cooking Seafood make it taste rubbery.
FYI I am a certified Baker Cook and Chef and yes I also went to college for it. I also use to bake wedding cakes as well.

Lol I like these taste tests. I basically have flavored chips/crisps,,I detest sour cream n onion. I do like Funyuns,,crispy onion shaped things and I love prawn crisps,,but asian stores in Montana are few and far between. I do corn chips with salsa,,my favorites are Lays kettle chips ,,regular flavor and occasionally barbecue flavor. I love Hershey's milk chocolate with almonds or Cadbury's chocolate fruit and nuts bars. I dont like foamy,,marshmallows candies,,I'm with Lay about jams,,I like cookies that are jam filled. Probably because my Grandma ,,Aunties and my Mom all made jam of every fruit you can imagine. We had a pantry for home canned stuff ,,fruit and veg,,it wasnt unusual to see 50 or 60 pints of jam. My fave jams are strawberry freezer jam and apricot jam. Thanks for bringing back good memories! Ttyl,,,Marlon

I’m a little behind watching your videos. I wonder why I don’t see these snacks at S&R or even Costco in the 🇺🇸? It’s an acquired taste. Lay will like them the longer she stays/lives in Ireland. I remember when I was young and my whole family moved to 🇨🇦, I didn’t like the foods. Lived in 🇨🇦 n 🇺🇸 and now living in the 🇵🇭, I don’t like a lot of Filipino dishes especially rice 😂
