    I like how this comes off as a safer version of MMA, I feel if people knew more about Kudo there would be a bigger demand for it

    Thank you for making this video. I’ve had several expensive and painful facial reconstruction surgeries after a motor vehicle accident, on top of the TBI that came with it. I also wear glasses and am blind without them.
    I’m trying to find a way that I can get back into sparring without potentially risking serious permanent injury. Considering all the headgear options and different arts I could potentially learn. Was a TKD student as a child/teenager before the accident, and did a little bit of BJJ after I recovered.

    The head gear used by Nippon Kempo doesnt steam up, it has a metal frame instead. Wouldn't it be possible to use that for Kudo?

    Hope I could make the ones used in competition for myself (I haven't trained in Kudo yet). (Where can I find a company that teaches people who are beginners in Kudo headgear making?)

    This is expensive sport therefore. This brilliant invention, that, which will make it more viable for more fights, without serious injury while practicing it repeatedly.

    What difference does this headgear make to headbutts? i.e. can the strike become sloppier and how does it impact the sport?

    • @kudouk
      @kudouk  2 года назад +2

      The Headbutt impact is the same. It’s just another strike in the arsenal.

      @@christiansonicthehedgehog5389 well in kudo , headbutt is usually used before judo techniques . You can say it's for stunning . But in lethwei , there are entire combos with headbutts , but they doesn't recommend it though

    How should I care for my headgear after exercise? I'm worried about odors due to sweat. Would using a dehumidifier to dry it cause the leather to deform? What method do you recommend?

    • @kudouk
      @kudouk  10 месяцев назад +1

      Just put it in a well ventilated place, eventually you will need to replace it anyway. Good luck 👊🏼

    On one hand it's a safer mma. But i think the safest is sambo. The helmet gives a very unrealistic safety feeling, leading to reckless exchanges. Which r unrealistic since when u have the threat of being punched on your face u ain't gonna do that. But sambo, still got points, open tatami, no unrealistic wild exchanges. I love both though almost equally

    • @kudouk
      @kudouk  Год назад +1

      If you want to practice elbows I’m sure it would benefit but as Muay Thai use boxing gloves in practice and competition it seems counterproductive to wear headgear 👍
