I'm just imagining what the screen would look like if someone playing the Midmer-Losh in Atlantic City posted registrations while playing full organ ensembles....
Can you imagine the amount of work that went into building that organ back then. Organ builders must have been really dedicated to their work. Who today would take the time to carve that beautiful facade, glad they were able to restore it as well as the organ.. W Leitzel
What a great choice to play at the Arnstadt organ! The work shows a lot of the solo stops of the organ, with its good number of original pipes. What a treasure!
@Sebastián Gossio Well, according to Herr Preller, organist there for many years, the rebuild about 1999 had 320 original pipes to work with and some bits of the woodwork. They also had good documentation of the 1703 organ.
In the 1999 reconstruction of the 1703 instrument, only half the stops have more than 50% of historic pipes. None of the pedal is historic. Most stops contain few or no historical pipes!
Beautiful interpretation!! Thank you for taking the time to add your registrations... this certainly raises the bar on organ concert videos, and this effort is greatly appreciated!!🌺
Thank you very much for your wonderful and beautiful performance. Especially for the chorales, it was very helpful because I didn't have many performance posts. Moreover, I was happy because it was my favorite song.
Toujours parfait le monsieur Valentin! Registrations magnifiques, toujours réfléchies, pesées, adaptées aux phrases sonores. Un orgue intelligent et sensible.
I suppose some would say this is......well, lets forget about what imaginations would say. FANTASTIC, and having the time on Bachs organ with his music. Your pedal work is a foreign matter to me, and I was never able to devote the time to learning the technique of it, so, I am continuously amazed at your skill there. I would like to know about how you selected the Stops on the organ for this performance, (?) And hope you are happy, healthy, tell the vision from Jesus, and recall that Bach dedicated EVERY piece he wrote....to Jesus....tall, about 6’3, black hair, olive skin, like a greek olive on a pizza. Maybe you will tell the vision, maybe not. But hearing you play music is a deep joy, and the most depthful one I shall have in my aging years. Thanks. Wes.
Well, only about half of the Oberwerk, significantly less of the Brustwerk, and none of the Pedal pipes from Bach's time have survived. Likewise, the action and key desk are modern reconstructions dating from the restoration by Hoffmann in the late 90s (though the heavily restored original key desk is preserved in the museum nearby). A bit like the famous ship of Theseus ... Edit: According to Wolff (2006), the particular registers that still contain at least 50% historical material are the Gamba 8' (OW), Quintadehna 8' (OW), Grobgedacktes 8' (OW), Gemshorn 8' (OW), Octava 4' (OW), Mixtur IV 2' (OW), Cymbel II 1' (OW), Stillgedacktes 8' (BW), Nachthorn 4' (BW), and Mixtur III 1' (BW).
This is about the best performance of this work I have ever heard. The only other one that comes close is an old recording by Karl Richter at the Soro monastery.
Lass die negativen Kommentare von manchen unten :(. Eine ausgezeichnete Ausführung. Danke sehr.
Balint Karosi, which historical correct pipe organ stops we used to performed the basso continuo from cantatas, oratorios, masses, motets and other sacred choral works by Bach and other baroque composers?
Very nice. One remark. I can't prove it but this tempo is too fast in my opinion. We should not forget that organists today play with the technique of Czerny.
Never give up. Keep at it and you will surprise yourself. I am seventy-nine years old with physical limitations. I am starting to learn on my Hauptwerk virtual pipe organ.
Dear Meinhard Hülsmann. Pray tell us how you managed to achieve time travel. I would also like to go back to the seventeen hundreds. With the appropriate vaccinations, of course.
I had the pleasure to hear many brilliant recordings of "Sei gegrüßet". This one is one of the best of all.
A masterpieces played from a master!
Thanks for posting your registrations. I wish more organists did this.
Robert Ramsay - You’re right, it makes the whole experience so much more interesting when you know exactly what the stop combinations are.
I'm just imagining what the screen would look like if someone playing the Midmer-Losh in Atlantic City posted registrations while playing full organ ensembles....
When I watch these videos I always think that.

Ascolto questo pezzo in questo organo magico...e mi vengono su i secoli 🔥

At second hearing, maybe third, your playing in perfection!
The playing of this piece was perhaps the best I've ever heard.
Wonderfull playing! God bless for you mr Ballint.
Bravo! According to me, this is one of the greatest organ work of all time! Beautiful interpretation!
Thank you for just stating what you think, and with a little bit of humor.😊
Superbe interprétation. Merci.
Antoine Dietrich
Beautiful interpretation!! Thank you for taking the time to add your registrations... this certainly raises the bar on organ concert videos, and this effort is greatly appreciated!!🌺
Entry at 18:03 is magnificent!!

A very insightful performance, especially of the next-to-last variation. Performance, organ, and video - all absolutely first-class.
Brilliant! Lovely registrations, and perfect tempi! What a pleasure...
Prachtige, doorleefde uitvoering! En wat een veelkleurig orgel!
Brilliant - thanks for the great performance, thanks for giving the registrations!
Beautiful music played beautifully! Wonderful instrument! Thank you! :-)
Good Lord, fantastic playing and registrations. thank you. Charles Rus
I was more and more amazed as the piece went along. Thank you for posting this treasure.
Splendid performance, and thanks for mentioning the used registrations!

Excellent performance 👏
Herr Bach would be pleased...
Great performance! This is one of my favorite partitas.
Thank you Balint, very nice performance.
It's always a great joy to see and hear you perform. Thank you for posting these informative and quite musical offerings.
Thanks for posting your wonderful playing!!! (I wish more organists did this.)
A colourful and vibrant interpretation of this quite lenghty work. Gratulations!
Nice.~~~So amazing playing and video👍😁 I like this organ. So beautiful organ
Bravo master!
Congratulations on a most inspiring interpretation.
Vielen Dank für die Orgelspex!!
Magic. I love it.
awesome!
Wonderful, just wonderful! Thank You! :)
Kitűnő: ausgezeichnet!
👍......the best.....
Most impressive: Bach may have played that very same piece in that very same organ.
One can look up if he was there physically in the period where he wrote that pieceXD.
He almost certainly did. The chorale partitas are very, very early compositions.
@@ryanfrederick3376 Yes, you are right

Bach never played this organ. It is an reproduction of the old organ.
In that church are a few parts of the original organ which bach had played
You are obviously having too much fun. Beautiful work!
Puro splendore
fantastic!

BACH > all
Wow, that's a very useful video ❤️
Ooit gehoord door Jirri Rheinberger in Zwolle. Lekker rustig en mooi genieten.
Très bien
Lass die negativen Kommentare von manchen unten :(. Eine ausgezeichnete Ausführung. Danke sehr.
I just heard Bach playing...
This is definitely sub worthy!
the kantor of leipzig. the best!

You should play some of this as a Postlude at St. Peter's.
Daniel Golden yes I should!
He's done that before.
Probably as close as we can get to Bach as he would've heard it.

Hallo
The trumpet sounds almost like a krummhorn to me

Im pretty much useless when it comes to instruments but I love classical music and I wanna learn to play the pipe organ
Never give up. Keep at it and you will surprise yourself.

the camera man never shows the pedalboard....probably he thinks that there is a piano.
Interesting. My guess is the camera was set on a stand.
In case you ever wondered what one of Bach's pieces sounds like on his own organ.... they have his organ.
That one's tuned sharp, too, isn't it.
Bach was outstanding, he can´t have a successor. Balint Karosi might be a good organ player, but light years behind J.S.Bach.
Oh, du hast Bach selbst spielen gehört?
Dear Meinhard Hülsmann. Pray tell us how you managed to achieve time travel. I would also like to go back to the seventeen hundreds.

I'm a organist my self
Too fast.
don,t like this particular work, hate variations
