Karl Richter is one of the most greatest interpreters of Bach music. Great in all as a organist, on hampsicord, as a director of Cantatas or orchestral music.

Karl Richter must have relished exploiting all the different registers, and Bach himself would have loved hearing his music plumb the depths, and ascend the heights of this great tonal landscape!

Mascioni organ (built in 1951 and then modified by Mascioni himself, featuring 2,300 pipes and boasting some 40 registers)

The other great interpretation of bwv 768 was recorded in Zwolle by Jiri Reinberger (Supraphone, 1965).
