Thank you so much for this session. I have been soooo looking forward to it. They are so special. You are terrific and talented. I can’t wait to get started.
Hi Sue - you’re so very welcome! And thank you for encouraging me, I enjoyed making this video (and all the little sheep video stars 😆). I’m really looking forward to hearing how you go making one of your own - I hope the pattern works well for you and I’d love to see your sheep when you finish it 😃 Have a lovely weekend! 🐑 Wheelie
Hi Jen - Thank you ❤️ Remnant yarn is a great idea - I made most of mine with yarn scraps, it doesn’t take a lot to make an itty bitty sheep 🐑🌈. I’m so looking forward to hearing how you go with it ❤️ Wheelie (PS, I know you like ‘normal’ nails, but even you must think the pastel polish looks good with the pastel rainbow yarn… right? … … I’ll convince you colourful nails are pretty one day, surely 😉😆)
The sheep are adorable. Baa utiful. Shear delight. I had to mark all my stitches of the last round before the colour change as with the dark yarn it was too hard to see my stitches. Presbyopia doesn’t help. You are brilliant to have designed this. I’m trying to think of a way to add the legs without having to make them separately and sew them on, there must be a way. Maybe doing a similar method to the tail but thread enough yarn thru the body and out where you want the leg and then go from there. Who knows. Will try and see. I’m giving my sheep, Cutlet, to a friend for her car key which she is always losing as it’s one of those ones you don’t stick into the key hole of the car you just have to have it with you. Thanks for all the time and effort you have put into making this video. 🌈♥️🐞
Soffity🐞!! Oh you’ve absolutely made my day!! 😃 I’m really excited that you’re making a sheep - and you started on it so quickly too! Cutlet is a brilliant name! (And yes, the excessive number of exclamation points in this comment is completely justified - I am so thrilled - and I can’t resist a sheep pun 😁). I completely empathise with your use of many stitch markers with the dark yarn, I can only make the dark heads of the sheep during the day with an extra desk light shining right down on it. And even then it’s more done by feel than sight 😬. With the legs - do let me know if you work out a method that you’re happy with. I tried a few different ideas out but none of them had much stability and because I wanted the sheep to stand up on their own, I went back to making the legs separately. I very very much prefer crochet to sewing so I’m keen to see if you work out a solution to this - if you do get it to work, and you’re happy to share, we could co-design a second sheep (maybe with floppy ears? Floppy eared sheep look cute. Maybe if there’s no way around the stability issue, it could be a sleeping/sleepy sheep… 🤔 What do you think?) And thank you for your lovely comments about my video, I enjoyed making this one 🐑 ❤️ Wheelie
@@wheeliemadeitcrochet ah ha! stability. Yes you’re right. They do need to stand on their own 4 feet. Tadpole sheep are fine for wet areas but ….. Floppy ears.yes. We must put our brains into gear and work out the ears and legs. Your sheep are so good they don’t need any adjustment but as you say it would be good to have floppy ears etc. The sheep in England have long tails but they dock them here in Australia for health reasons. I’ve realised the idea I had for the legs is going to need some sort of sewing. However I’m not giving up yet. Cutlet has a weird head body placement as I couldn’t see what I was doing or where the stitches were despite the markers. It’s all so fiddly that the markers were getting in the way. I’m impressed by your fine motor skills when it comes to ovine crocheting. 🐞🐑
@@jessicaswaim8712 Hi there, no, I’m sorry, I haven’t written up this pattern properly. When I made a few sheep last month I even had to rewatch this video because my own notes were so confusing 😜. All the best, Wheelie
@@wheeliemadeitcrochet Thanks for answering! I'll make do with your wonderful video. I plan to make some sheep for Christmas ornaments and/or for friends to add to Nativity sets. Thank you for the pattern and excellent video!
@@jessicaswaim8712 that sounds like such a great idea, love the thought of them in a nativity scene! I was thinking of making some with little Christmas scarves this year 🥰 I hope your sheep turn out beautifully ❤️

Love these!!🐑 Thankyou so much for the clear instructions! I intend making a multicoloured one out of remnant yarn!

And one more thing - a key ring is the perfect use! I might convert some of my excess sheep 🤔

Is written pattern available anywhere, please?
