Grew up on the SNES, but for whatever reason our family never owned a Metroid title... Anyway thanks for all these awesome SNES covers. You should totally send this to Retro Studios.... Your version should absolutely be in Metroid Prime 4!!!!
Wow what a joy it must be to play Super Metroid for the first time. Sadly I've played that game around 100-200 times because I speed ran it It hasn't lost its magic by any means, but the joys of exploration it it are lost. I still look for good metroidvanias to play to this day because of SM. I think Hollow Knight is the closest I've seen come to the splendor of Super Metroid

Metroid music has a huge focus on atmosphere, which makes it difficult to remix or to cover. But this one was flawlessly. It sounds soooo good.
