I don't know if you've had a chance to explore our channel, there are lots of interesting videos about our life in Italy and more are on the way. Thanks for watching
We've had two. The first we wouldn't recommend at all, the second and now our dear friend we met the most common way things happen in Scalea, sitting in the piazza having coffee. the cafe owner told him we were from California and he came over and explained he had a son in California who owned a restaurant. We became friends and over time we asked if he'd show us some places, just for fun and we ended up with our second apartment. He also found my sister her perfect place. He recently sold our first apartment for us. We can connect you with him, write us at scaleaapartment2021@gmail.com . We are also releasing a new video on how to find an apartment in a few days. Thanks for watching
Hello Vince and Irina. New to your channel and I already love it. I’m interested in dealing with realtors and also appreciate the walking measurement. This makes a lot of good sense to me. I know many streets are non auto and have thought maybe an electric bike but I still have to make regular grocery trips and errands and will be staying non-resident so no car after a year of the international license if I understand correctly. I’m glad you are here and look forward to seeing your channel grow. Scalea seems to be US friendly to some degree and I’d love to be part of a mixed community of Italians, ex-pats and Americans. I’m looking at the west coast Diamanté to Scalea roughly and the east coast Mola di Bari to roughly Monopoli. Still open to change. Best regards! maya
Thank you for watching and your comments. The south is the real Italy. Its still got its roots. I grew up with Southerners in California and it wasn't till we got to Scalea that we found that same kind of warmth. We've since found this applies to all of the the South we've visitied. We've found making friends with locals really adds to the experience and how you're treated. The locals really appreciate anyone who is willing to try to connect with the culture. If you ever have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Well done. The back and forth was timed perfectly.
Thank you so much! We worked hard on that.
Love it! I lived in Varcaturo for 3 years. I miss Italy so much! Thank you, love your channel!
I think once Italy is in your blood it never goes away. We haven’t been for five months and we’re counting the hours till our return.
Thank you. Will be interesting to follow your journey that you had buying your property👍

Ирина, прекрасное видео, я думаю много кому будет интересно как вы выбирали свои квартиры. Пи си: леопардовое платье тебе очень идёт!
Спасибо большое! Собираемся сделать вторую часть. Посмотрим, что получиться.
I’m fascinated by the decision making too…. oh and I want a leopard dress now!
Good for you 👍 looking forward to more
