High snow gave us very limited areas to access bedrock but we did what we could and found some gold!

Welcome to Maine, glad you swung by was waiting for you to come!
Thank you DerpTrooper!
It’s hard as a father to have time with your adult child; without missing how much precious you had with them in their youth, but so satisfying to have time with them now. Thanks for sharing that time with us as well, we are the better for it.
Thanks drgwyndn glad you enjoyed it!
From my home state! Nice! Maine is sneaky big. It takes a while to get around there.
Same!
Yeah Maine's a nice place, I use to visit once a week back in 2004-2005 when I lived up in Boston.
I go to Coos Canyon for 3 weeks every year. I live 4 hours away, but, it is well worth the trip. I have a lot of nice Garnets from there too!
Nice!
That is my back yard
YES! sample that overburden in them places! awesome vid!
Thanks Mucking Placer for watching!
Awesome as always, thanks so much! Perfect way to relax after the end of a working day in Germany.
Thanks Tjalveson glad you enjoyed it!
Just discovered your channel and subscribed! I'm in New Hampshire and I've had good luck in the Swift River as well. Quite a few places over here in the Granite state to find gold, amethyst, garnets, etc. :)
Nice!
Really enjoying your 50 state tour. Beautiful country and you found some gold. Thanks Shane.
Thanks joel jeffery glad you enjoyed it!
Great wee video and great to see the family getting involved. I'm away to Tyndrum in Scotland on Friday with my 3 oldest boys for a weekend of panning. First time in over a year due to the pandemic so canny wait lol.
Keep the videos coming brother. All the best to you and yours from Scotland 🤘🏴🤘
Of course I enjoyed it :) As always thank you for uploading your adventures!
Thank you Insolent Stickleback!
Nice seeing you showing your daughter crevicing, and I like your crevicing tools. ...I forge our own so each sit well in our hand and are well balanced. I also get to choose the hardest steel, too. My daughter and I enjoyed your video; it's reminiscent of what we are doing before we don our wetsuits and snorkels and enter our river to snipe. Best, ~Wendi
Great adventure sweet looking area and some gold awesome thanks be safe
Thank you milesnn!
Love your vids ❤
Keep it up 👍
Thank you Abrgamer!
What a beautiful place to stop & dip a pan! Nice bedrock for summer fun.
I agree Kelly Ashworth, and thanks for watching!
keep them coming Shane, really like family time spent together
Thank you Dennis Stewart!
Was just doing to reading on Maine prospecting and remembered I hadn't seen your video from Maine! Might head up that way in the morning and look for some nice bedrock!
Nice!
I haven't yelled at the TV like that in a long time. When you were throwing everything in the river at the beginning, I was telling, "Noooooo! Don't throw the frost heave in the river when you have a bucket and pan right there!". LoL Nice video.
hells ya brother keep rocking i see those subs rising!
much love from nova scotia!
Previous month I managed to pull my first five figure income ever!!! I've been working for this company on the net for 2 yrs now and I never been happier... They are paying me $95 per hour, and the best thing about that is the fact that I am not really that tech-savvy, they only asked for standard understanding of internet and basic typing skill...The best thing about this job is the more free time I got with my kids. I am in a position to spend quality time with my family and friends and look after my babies and also going on family holiday together with them very consistently. Don't miss this chance and try to respond fast. Here is what I do *growthbig92.com*
Thank you Stephen Steele!
Love to see the new videos in my notifications!
Thanks Young Wick Records glad you enjoyed it!
Nice mate. Go get that gold!
Thank you Ful-O-Gold!
Once again Thanks for Another Amazing Video!
Thanks James Bolger glad you enjoyed it!
Not the quantity but the quality. Tom Massie always said. When you come to Texas you are going to have a heat stroke. At least where the hot humid climates are . Texas has almost every gemstone in it, just hard to find. Enchanted rock is a cool place to go, It is a granite upheaval of an old volcano that never erupted. I think it was 650 acres that people mountain climb. People do cliff climbing. The plaque at the top said that a few solders held off some Apaches Indians and killed them as they came up, I was 12 when I went. My Dad, when he was young found a nice Texas topaz in Brady creek around Melvin TX. It was very beautiful in all my moms and grand moms jewelry he made them. Is Aries birthday in March. I am an Aries also a ram. Loved it and can't wait for your next one
Cool thanks for the info on Texas!
You and Aries look like you were having a blast inspite of the cold and the snow...nice view of the area...That water does look cold...Gotta go back when there is no snow so you both can hit the place harder with more comfort...Thanks for taking us along....and those buckets of yours...the logos need to be sanded off and some Klesh stickers need to go on...Bling the bucket, make it official Klesh tools merch for your touring...Have a good one bud 👍.
You're right I'd like to get back there during better weather, cool idea with the stickers I'll have to do that! Also, sorry for the late reply but I have a lot of free time now due to "the virus"!
@@Klesh No problems Shane 👍...We all get busy from time to time and things end up on the proverbial back burner...You take care of yourself and keep safe 👍.
Congratulations on reaching 60,000 subscribers Shane.
Nice gold.👍🤓🍺⛏
Thank you Famo59! Sorry for the late reply, only took 10 months
Also, it is really cool to see you having some quality father time with your kiddo! I didn't have any kiddos of my own, Cherish the good times!
Thank you Insolent Stickleback!
Love your videos Shane
Keep it up.
Thank you Ashton Siebel!
I live in Mexico Maine right on the swift river. Gonna start going out panning soon as it warms up a little Moore. Can't wait.
Nice
These hunts are awesome,....thanks Shane
Thanks Au_ rockn glad you enjoyed it!
Prospecting with your love ones is a plus.great video dude.
Thank you Gold Adventures!
I'm a native Mainer and I am going to Coos Canyon in Byron with my gold prospecting group on Saturday, hopefully to find my first nugget! I just love to watch your videos!
Good luck the snow should be melted, get down in those crevices that I couldn't access! Thanks for watching
Live in coastal maine, great video of our western mountain streams. I bet you were frozen after that. Love your gold adventures
Thank you westonmj14!
One more State with a check mark. Another great collab by a father and daughter. Love seeing that dude! Got my pick and very first coin for my collection today in the mail. Thank you Shane. See ya next time my friend!
Thanks David R. Butcher glad you enjoyed it!
At 3:12 when you were shoveling out that crevices there was about a 3oz Nugget you threw into the river.....JK😂😂😂😂😂😂 I really enjoy your videos, you are always so calm and seem to just love life. Keep living the good clean life brother👍
Thanks mark Bohamed glad you enjoyed it!
Where my other Mainahs at?
Gorham
Rumford
Rockland
Bangor
Casco.
Awesome video! I have been up there. I live by Kittery and was thinking of hitting Coos, this week, then I thought i might hit the wild A on Kagamangus road. In NH. Vt seems a better place. It is difficult to find places to access the rivers if one diesnt know where to park the car and how to get to the rivers. Doesnt look like you found much for all your efforts! I think you need more time in each spot in each state to get a better assessment of its gold potential??i will be looking for the NH and VT videos. Thank you for doing the north East.
Yeah for sure, but with time constraints had only a few hours per state this trip. Still a fun adventure glad you liked the video@!
Thanks for the mention mate🤠 after watching this video, I’m dying to go do some blow tubing 🇦🇺. We definitely got to catch back up for a couple of days to really explore
Credit given where credit's due mate. Thanks for watching even though I'm a year late replying LOL
I live 40 miles from coos canyon. I'm gonna hit it this spring. Hopefully I'll get some good gold deposited from spring run off.
FINALLY YOU CAME TO MAINE MY HOME STATE YESSS I love your vids they help me with my little operation
Nice!
I might not head to Maine to dig for gold but it does look like a great place to visit and you two had a great time.
Thanks hooahextreme for watching!
You daughter is talking more and seems to really be enjoying and learning more every place you go. This series is really awesome. Great footage as always. ☺
Thanks yeah she had a great time
@@Klesh I'm sure she did being with you and all. ☺
Hey man coos is a favorite of mine it’s where I learned pulled a few nuggets out of there went there this January in 30 degrees a lot of great spots up there if you get out of the Swift in the woods
The area below the prospecting shop was hip-deep in snow, so couldn't get down there to really crevice the "good spots", but still had fun thanks for watching! Also, sorry for the late reply but I have a lot of free time now due to "the virus"!
You do a great job on your videos. I watch all your videos. Wish there was more gold to find in creeks here in Virginia were I live. There is some but not much. Great job on your videos!!!
Some parts of VA are full of nice gold!
You may not have a million views, but please keep posting these, I absolutely love them, and so do nineteen THOUSAND other people, think about that, That's so many!!! Keep posting man
For sure it's a lot! Even if one other person watched I'd still continue making the videos. Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
she should be happy to have such a cool father haha
I hope so !
👍👍 really enjoyed the video 👍👍
Thank you Cody Mackniak!
if you make it here to WI you can metal detect old copper culture complex artifacts, up to around 6000 years old. a friend has found a bunch of tools and other things made of copper mined by the natives off Isle Royale in lake superior and other places the glacier stripped the land down to reveal copper deposits.
Cool!
Another good video thank you for sharing peace out man
Thanks Paul Howard for watching!
Hay Shane me and my buddies are going to be in Colorado next week the lost creek wilderness area have u ever done prospecting in that area mainly goose creek and hankins gulch area thank u have a great day and keep the videos coming love the content.
Nice! No i havent been over there good lucK!
About 2 hours north of me. I'm glad you visited our beautiful state.
That's a haul to Byron. I've been to the falls by the campground.
It's a nice place for sure
just found your channel today! great stuff man! if you are ever in Philadelphia id love to find some sidewalk gold with you!
Aries lives in Philly
I thought you were a glove kinda guy, that's thinking for me .You have a interested student keep up your tutorials you can see her learning it all.Keep it golden always.
Thank you David Villa!
I live in Maine and I have planned for gold on the koyukuk river in Alaska. This would have been a nice start.
If I got that close to snow, I would break out in a rash. Looks like a beautiful place, and going home with gold, win - win.
The snow was hip deep everywhere the nice crevices were too. I couldn't get down there. i was looking forward to using some Two Toes crevicing techniques too. Thank for wathcing
Shane if you end up going to Arizona let me know i live near prescott and there are some day pan spots that ive been too and found some decient gold.
Sounds like fun! I will be visiting AZ once the virus cools off , hopefully sooner than later.
Love these vids bro! Have a question for you. What kind of pants are you wearing? I see you wearing them in a lot of your vids. I thought they might be a good pair to try out. Thanks

@@Klesh hey thanks alot for the reply bud!
Maine is a beautiful state, at least you were able to get on the river and find a little color Shane, some gold is better than no gold. Thanks for sharing and may you always have a Flash In Your Pan...
I agree Flash In Your Pan, and thanks for watching!
im in Minnesota. i heard there isnt much but powder gold up here cause the glaciers crushed alot of it thousands of years ago. is that true? or is there spots in MN that you think would have some OK gold in it
i think its almost all glacial till, but havent started researching MN yet
@@Klesh well if ya find anything out sometime. let me know! ive always wanted to try it up here. just dont know where to
Awesome. I know right where you were.
Nice!
I live in maine and used to summer on web lake in weld maine and used to gold pan in the swift river. I found almost an oz in one day. Highly concentrated with river gold
Aaron Samson hi. I looked at webb lake in Weld, how far did you have to drive to access the swift river? I didnt see it on the map.
@@gabrial3377 not very far. Maybe 20 min
Thank you Aaron Samson 337!
@14:37 The material in the pan looks like Alfred Hitchcock from a side view. Pareidolia strikes again.
You should dig diamonds in Arkansas. Lots of big ones have been found and some recently.
David Brammer I commented that a few videos ago
هلو
Good Idea David Brammer! Thanks for watching!
Another good one
Thank you The Dunlavys!
Just wondering if you came to my state next door, New Hampshire. I’m going to try panning for the first time soon 👍🏼
Yep, went to Bath and Swiftwater NH the next day and made a video.
Yeah, the water there stays cool,im from the north,30 minutes from canada, now I'm down in NC
Nice!
ive only watched a few of your videos so far but its got me wondering.. im from New Zealand.. do you think you can pan any river in the world and you might find some gold?
There's trace amounts of gold all over the earth, however most rivers in the world do NOT contain recoverable amounts of gold. Even here in Colorado, one river has gold, and one canyon over, the next river has zero gold. It's very strange but that's how it is. Thanks for watching!
You can dredge in Maine up to a 4", June to September !
Nice!
Cool my state I'm in Perry pleasant point.rez love these vids
Thanks Tom Tinker's Rez life for watching!
cool vid guys, i live just 45 mins away from coos canyon but be honest the smell in Mexico Maine - go...
Upstate Maine is pretty for sure, do's Arire's live in Colo, or New England area, 1st vids I've ever seen her on, an I think it's great y'all are spending time together doing this an making vids together, thx bro, just love your vids.
Thanks! She's at school in the northeast.
You need to check out washington state. Ive heard there use to be alot of gold prospectors in the north west region of the state. If you do check out the gold bar, sultan, eagle falls area
Thank you Dylan Watkins!
Did you hear the traditional deep Maine greeting?
“Eh dare Scheppah?”… translation “Hey there Skipper?”.
that snap edit was actually amazing
Thank you Mateo Alarcon!
A perfect start on the weekend! Nothing like an awesome video from Kleshguitars!
Thank you mariusj123!
You need to bring a dust pan. I mean I wouldn’t have thought to bring one either. But after seeing the angle of the bedrock and how you scraping made me think about a dust pan.
Good Idea mark Bohamed! Thanks for watching!
Off the coast of maine is a fold belt..I would think enough to damage the gold market...all of maine is volcanic..the ocean is where the gold went..but how do you find the gold belt.mmm
When are you coming to Alaska? I am here in Juneau if you are going to come up this way.
No plans for Alaska yet
Good vid
Thank you Banana Boy!
Do you know exact location this is at Byron? I plan on camping there this summer, Great video Shane
Yeah it's Coos Canyon, it's impossible to miss by going through the town of Byron. Good luck, there's a lot of crevices right below the prospecting shop!
@@Klesh great thanks. I ordered a new A52s so I'm excited
If you hit Michigan, Gun Lake is awesome for diving! There is a huge story about guns in the Lake! I have a youtube channel and would gladly show you where.
Sounds like fun I'll have to dive there with a magnet too
Cool video.
When you get to Michigan, go to the Upper Peninsula near Marquette. Gold has been found there in the past. You won't find any gold in the mitten.
MetDet NC I live in Traverse City are you in the Upper peninsula?
@@bo49685 My grand-parents lived in the Houghton area. I was raised near Flint. I now live in North Carolina
@@bo49685 some fantastic wine comes from your area.
MetDet NC oh ok, I’ve only lived in Michigan since 1997, from California. I’m going back to California to live once my twins graduate high school next year....so I CANT WAIT to get back to prospecting in California in 2020. There is gold EVERYWHERE there. You can find gold of some sort in every pan, so I’m spoiled. So I’ve never even hunted for gold in Michigan....lol.
@@bo49685 most of the gold in MI was a by-product of copper mining
👍😊 another great video thank you my best friend goes there and Prospects he named his dog Byron
Nice!
Thanks for the discount 😁
Thanks Tammy Patton for watching!
Not only great tips and techniques, but such a beautiful spot too. Great idea with the 50 state tour.
Thank you Coin Sense And Nonsense!
great idea you have doing the state gives us a look at your country man
Thank you pk Gold & Hunting!
I would love to see a video in Minnesota. MN sucks for prospecting but there have been unconfirmed posts on FB of pickers in the Straight River near Owatana and Sauk Center. Over the river in Wisconsin in Pierce county there is a ancient meteor impact sight called Nugget Lake County Park where people routinely find gold and sometimes diamonds. Please, no video on Agates! lol
Yeah Agates don't interest me, so I won't do agates, although I might mention it. Yes Nugget lake will most likely be my location for Wisconsin
Nice!
Thank you Lankywhiteguy!
Try the Aroostic river, from presque isle to Caribou, and the Alagash river which is more North
Thank you mike gallagher!
nice !!!!
Thank you Smithsgold!
In the video you said you can pan or sluce did you need a license or permit or anything like that?
No license or permit needed for recreational Prospecting but check all of your local laws before proceeding
Thanks
So you named your daughter after the Greek god of war... that's hardcore!
You can do everything and anything right here in maine alone. We are the best
You should come back to our tourmaline mines. Lots of watermelon found here! And dont forget, Lobster is our biggest treasure!
Sounds like a plan thanks!
I live a half hour away and never knew there was gold😮
Cool video.
Have you tried meteorite hunting?
Not yet but plan on it!
Maybe try metal detecting on the beaches of one of many beaches of lakes in Wisconsin
There's a place called "Nugget Lake" in WI i've been looking at for my WI episode.
june 15th thru sept 15 you can dredge the swift river maybe you would like to come back sometime
That would be great, if you live up there let me know when's a good time to visit (after the virus of course!) sjklesh@gmail.com
Your daughter is a beautiful young lady. It’s good to see family together. She’s a trooper.
I agree Jeff Gray, and thanks for watching!
The Alagash was used a logging river in the old days
Nice!
You should try lynx creek in Arizona! There you can pan a shovel and still get flakes
Nice!
