    I had today a similar problem, but the latch with the springs was ok. It was the hook in the bottom of the trunk. I took it out and saw that the holes for the screws are not completely round, but oval. Either somebody modified them or they come like that and it can be moved. Now I can close the trunk again.

    What is the size of the spring you add? Is it supposed to have a very little screw nowhere in the mechanism? I have a problem with my latch. It can not unlock. The emergency handle move only one part of "pliers". I found one very little screw squeeze in mechanism. I removed it but it does not help. I think the problem is this spring.

    mine was the brass looking lever was so use. that over time it pushed itself away. used a flathead and mallet to push the brass one closer to the black lever. I also bought small springs for later. and dealer said the part was 160....cost me nothing to fix just my brain

    What kind of spring is it? What size because the assortment I bought none of them worked at all

      I just went to home depot and looked at the assortment and grabbed about a 2 inch then cut it to size and bent it to work. It's been about 2 or 3 years, so with my age the memory isn't what it used to be.

    Hello how did you get the spring in

    • @sukhjinder71
      @sukhjinder71  2 года назад

      I used pliers, and hooked one side of spring then pulled the other side with the pliers and locked it in to place. I used a spring that was a little too big, but cut it in half, and bent one side in to a u shape.
