  • 💦 Holy Water can be accessible to anyone who may need it and it doesn’t necessarily need to be obtained by an ordained priest or religious person. In fact, you can make and use your own Holy Water.
Let’s be clear, here…Holy Water is not just for Roman Catholics. Most religions and spiritualist use water for various ceremonies and for protection. So the “making” of Holy Water can look different based on which group is “cooking the sauce”. This video is following the Catholic steps. However, by doing this, I am now curious to see how others bless water. Surely more videos to follow on that!
Water is an amazing resource. It only makes sense to treat it with respect and wonder for all that it promises for us.

Priests are human yes but they are given an extraordinary grace by God that makes them different from you and me. I also would think you would have to be in a state of grace for the water to be blessed.

Thank you for this comment. I created this video during a period of time when the churches were closed and were not providing holy water in our area. I believe that God is open and encourages us reach out to Him in an event such as stated above, during a time when our human connections were limited. This Holy Water was used for my personal use. Believe it or not, Holy Water is sold on Amazon. That didn’t feel right for me.

Too much faith in the priest and not enough in the Lord. Don't worship the pulpit.

(Leviticus 16:24) And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.
(Luke 10:19) Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Do not fear the beast or his demons. Fear our separation from God our Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

if god disallows regular people to make holy water, it shows how little he cares about humanity as a whole
are you sure you want to go that route?

Holy water is done once a year on Easter. Every priest I heard talk about this is that it must be blessed by a priest

Only priests can make holy water because they have been consecrated. Even by baptism, you have not.

The Catholic Church does allow sacramentals.

Anyone who’s is in close relationship with the Holy Spirit can make holy water. Priests lead a more virtuous life through their sacrifices and consecration, so the blessings are almost guaranteed. God is not confined to those ordained.

@@deadlylaughterproductions When priests are ordained, they are marked upon their hearts and set aside. In administering the 7 sacraments, they stand in _persona Christi_ - as the very person of Christ. A layperson may bless their food or their children, but that's about it.

Your parish did not make holy water available during covid ?
Even in highly educated, medically aware and technical Austin, that was not the case. 🤔
We avoided use of the common cup, and that was about it...

Priests are not " just human beings like us" they are human beings but they are consecrated, have the indelible mark of Holy Orders on their souls. Priests bless the water with certain prayers. While we can bless our children, etc we do not actually bless them but rather ASK GOD to bless them. Priests can actually bless. i suppose perhaps in grave circumstances, very special instances say for example during persecution, we could "bless" water but certainly not tge same, and not to bless profane objects like jewelry.

😅. No ma’am I bet this holy water would look the same as water with salt. under the microscope.

  • @tracyheyward5125
    @tracyheyward5125 11 месяцев назад

I guess the priest didn't have faith that God would purify the water so covid wouldn't spread.

You can't buy holy water. Its considered sacrilegious by the church to sell or buy anything blessed outside of holy orders. Although we have authority to bless through our baptism, you need to be in a state of grace to have efficacy. i.e :- Have recently attended confession & received the Holy Eucharist. Especially salt, according to my Priest.
I pray your blessings are blessed & that God's mercy, love and peace be yours in abundance
    🙏✝️🕊

Only a priest can be blessed with holy water, not you.
