Fun fact: In the 1995 M 6.9 earthquake in Kobe city Japan, a large section of the highway overpass going through the city multiple kilometers in length collapsed in a very similar fashion to the animation EQS provided to us today!
Just found this channel and man, I love it! It's very informative and has great simulations! As a earthquake and tornado fanatic, thus is right up my alley! Keep up the great work and God Bless you!! 😊
Looks good 👍, the viaduct kinda looks like the tracks of an elevated rail line because its thin and the lamp post kinda reminds me of those overhead wires as seen on some elevated metro lines 😀
Being anywhere on or near this freeway would guarantee a lot of ruined pants. My mom had been working at the Northrup facility, but was retired at the time of the quake (Northridge). The freeway she would've been driving on had she not retired would've collapsed at the time of the quake, with her on it. She drove from Sunland, about 20 miles from Northridge, to Hawthorne, where the moment magnitude was VI-VII.
@EarthquakeSim: Epic simulation. In future videos, can you please include all Mercalli Scale simulations (from I - XII)? I notice that I, II and III were not included in this one. It would be appreciated because it would make it easier for me to submit personal shake reports to the USGS whenever I feel a minor tremor here in NYC.
Do you happen to know how much or strength if the failed mid-continental rift would release if it was actually decided to unleash all 1ish B years of stored energy

I am very emotional 😭😭😭😭 person and shoked and this video are very emotional 😭😭😭😭 time biggest highest earthquake in Nepal and India 1934 year's old time 😮😮😮😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤❤9.8
i love your videos! but, i'll suggest some new improvements😊 • firstly, i would like if it's more realistic😅 something like smoke, fire, etc. • add some cctv povs cameras inside buildings when u are making a city earthquake simulation😅 • ...and more povs: inside a car, a tv news. etc. to make it more realistic😊 ...thanksss
That can’t be simulated because it would involve the whole planet, solar system and beyond. Remember that each additional magnitude level increases the energy released by a factor of 32

Can you make a golden gate bridge during the loma prieta earthquake? It would be thankful if you would do it, since it occurred in california and my mind was mindlessly thinking about the golden gate bridge during this event. did the earthquake manage to wobble the bridge? Did it do minor damage? I will give you a sub if you would do it!
Hii.I found your channel on so right time 😊😊😊. I actually sent you a mail also regarding a help or guidance for creating such animation and incorporating into a website.I request you please please please help me for creating such awesome animation. Thanks

Yes it did! And I was able to simulate that :) for the first time ever :)
I saw it on National Geographics
I've heard about it last year....
A section of the highway/overpass tipped over right????
3:07
It collapsed looking like this right????
The result seems to look more like 5:20 for the collapsed overpass.
@@soyDani-matics Hopefully there will no "The big one" and the SkyWay Stage 3 Will Fall Down Like This And In Kobe Japan

The Tōhoku earthquake had an intensity of VIII, not IX

I love the rumbling sounds from these simulations, I'm so glad I found one for 11 hours for sleeping
The overpass actually did surprisingly well until Mercalli X, certainly survivable up until that point.
Having in mind it’s not really earthquake proof , it did well :)
Was a nice one. Remembers me on Kobe quake in 90 s. I ve saw it on television when doing breakfast before going to school by bus.
Wowww
I feel bad for the people who died of n the earthquake
6:40 if that's real happened is so scary 😱
Wow the building fall physics and highway physics are soooo awesome to watch
And the last one was Bouncin like huh?
Thank you so much for your feedback!! The physics is amazing indeed! Where are you from?
amazing videos as always 💕
keep up the good work!!

Thank you so much for your support!!! I’m happy you have discovered your channel :)
I like these videos, keep it up!
Thank you so so much!!
3:16 That's our highway overpass in the Philippines
this overpass held up insanely well.
Until mercalli X.
The last one got me 😂💀
Great job!
Thank you Ladrena!!! So happy youre part of this community!!!
i dont have time rn but will watch this later. Keep up the vids!
The highway lifted
Omg! Yay! You uploaded the Video!
I always do 😃
EarthquakeSim is the best!
Et à l'arrière-plan les immeubles qui s'effondrent, c'est très fort, merci !
Isn't this the one you constructed? Nice.
@@Roblox_Max_Verstappen yes I did :)
Am i the only one that is focusing on those skyscrapers at the back
5:26 trueeeee I made them and honestly forgot to focus on them 😝 just noticed how they reacted to these quakes
I'm also focusing

Wow…freeways are much better today then what happened in 1994. But there’s always some kind of variables that we can’t take into account
Nice new level earthquake XIII

Absolutely! I will for sure do that though remember that I and II is not felt by humans. Only III
Ive been a subscriber for a long time and now i can see the bridge better

the truck's lighting seems messed up, you may be able to fix it by recalculating its normals or getting rid of intersecting planes.
Yep it did!!
This is "Oh God, oh Jesus, oh God and Baby Jesus!" level of scariness 😦😧😨😰😱

Woah! So scary at 6:35
So good, btw sorry if I'm late
When the high rises buckled I knew it was a wrap 😨

Can you do an earthquake simulation on the Seattle Space Needle?

Noice video. 🙂Looks just like Japan.
Yes it does!
Maybe add shindo next?
Could you add deferent cars?
Working on that
RIP SkyWay Stage 3 😢
Is it possible for you to simulate the power of a magnitude 11 12 13 14 and 15 earthquake?
Those that are above 12 are theoretical

I’m using a Program, Blender 3D
