So awesome! I have to say I started learning with your videos, they are simply the best when it comes to covering songs! I was wondering if you could maybe cover Orange Blossom Special, I really can't find a decent tutorial for it anywhere. Thanks in advance!
Good question Darron. My instinct would probably be to play this lip-pursed since that's the way I learned it originally. Perhaps it's easier to get the clarity of notes at speed with a lip purse? I'm sure there are tongue blockers out there who can play it no problem though.
So late comment yes I was given my great grandpas harmonica and on the seventh draw mine sounds slightly higher that yours does, but sounds more close to the sound on seventh draw for the second line if I blow that note you got any suggestions for getting that sound mine is A key but has 24 holes
Hi Melvorgazh, Brendan Power uses all sorts of weird and wonderful tunings. I am using a standard 10-hole diatonic - I don't think he uses those very often. Thanks for watching and commenting, hope this helps! Cheers. Liam

Cheers Christopher, good to see you on here again :)
great explanation of difference between jig and reel !!!! congrats from France!
Thanks Christophe :)
I understand that irish tunes are mostly in ,D, G,E and A...as I cannot afford to buy four harmos, I was thinking to buy first a D ....any thought...?
With just a bit of practice, this tune is quite managable
Great tune.
Would love it if you did Folsom prison blues.
Great idea, I'll see if I can do it one day.

Brilliant Liam , Nice One 👍😁
Thanks 👍
Gday Liam, do you find this style of playing more challenging being a tongue blocker. I TB and really love this style of music.

@@Learntheharmonica that sounds like a challenge Liam 😏

Hi!
Is it the same type of harmonica Brendan Power use?
I am planning to learn the harmonica :)
I play the guitar now

Heyo from Belgium!
Is it a specially tuned harmonica like Brendan Power has?
Cheers
Hi Melvorgazh, I am just playing a normal 10 hole diatonic harmonica in the key of A, not a special tuning.
Awesome! Are you tongue blocking or lip pursing?
Cheers Cody. I was lip-pursing this. I'm not really a folk player and I definitely wouldn't be confident tongue blocking this type of stuff!
This seems to be the harp playing equivalent, of a tongue twister 😁
🤣🤣🤣
I searshed for "easy beginner irish jig harmonica". Well, this isnt easy haha
