Harmonica for Lord of the Rings!!!! How was this not shown on the nightly news. Honestly, running out to get a D this week. Love it.
Such a delightful iconic tune. I'm lucky to have been to the set in North Island NZ and had a beer in the best pub in the world. I can't play the flute but have dabbled with the harmonica. It's an absolute joy to be able to play this tune. Thank you.

I just bought a Hohner Silver Star C harmonica and this will be the first tune I'm learning. If/when I get better I will go for a more expensive one. Love classical so your video with harmonica reviews helped me to find out that a Hohner Golden Melody would be a good choice for me.

What do you think about this app called Harp-a-matic?
I am been learning on and off for some time but after I started using this app, it enabled me to practice. It displays on screen which note you should play next in a song and won't go further until you play that note. You should really give it a review and that way may be developers can add more songs to it.

Quick question for you I just got a marine band in key of g. And 1 hole draw is easy but I cat get a sound on the blow is this normal and I just need practice or is it something wrong with my harmonica.
Hi blg020, thanks for your question. It's 99% likely to be about technique rather than a problem with the harmonica - is it just the 1 blow that is a problem or all the blow notes? Have you watched my lesson about breathing technique? It may help: ruclips.net/video/dEI1bmmPGbQ/видео.html

Hi liam I was wondering about the marine band 364, is the comb fully sealed? and do you recommend this harmonica?
Thanks for the comment. I don't play out-of-the-box Marine Bands because - for me - they swell. Lots of people find they are fine but they don't do it for me. I have a 12 hole low C made for me by Sugar Cain Hamilton (sugarcain.co.uk/), which is better sealed because he's worked on it. It's worth asking him any questions you have as he's a customiser and knows a lot about the make-up of the instruments. Hope this helps! Cheers. Liam

Thanks for the request. This is an interesting topic. The harmonica is actually pretty limited when it comes to chords because getting the right combination of notes is pretty much impossible (apart from a couple of really easy ones). It's just the layout of the instrument - we're soloists more than chord players. This means we get to show off!

Guys im very new to the harmonica in fact just started yesterday. Do you have to tongue-block on this one or can you kinda play it without? Still struggling to get good sounds while playing single notes. Would be nice to know if you can just blow and draw the notes as they are to get a similiar result
