- In today's episode, I am playing a match of old school Magic the Gathering with my buddy Park. He has build a super cool black and red deck around the cards Carrion Ants and False Orders. I am playing with a black and green poison deck. The deck includes the old school poison creatures Pit Scorpion and Marsh Viper. Will I manage to get my opponent on 10 poison counters or will I get killed by a huge ant infestation?!

Rule Set
In all honesty, I have no idea 😂 My deck is build with the Swedish rules in mind with an open re-print policy. Park's deck is build according to EC rules. I think the best way to describe the rule set is Uber Casual 🤷🏼♂️ Anyway, the rule-set is actually not that important in this match, because flavour is what this match is truly about.

Our group is playing a lot of X-points lately, which is nice because I personally don’t own any power (although our group does allow proxies). Theres also talks of playing other formats such as singleton, which seems quite interesting to me.
I just started playing old school about a year ago, so there are many formats I haven’t heard of yet and others I’m just discovering through your channel 🙏

@@TimmytheSorcerer Great matches. I love to see the less optimal and more fun cards being played. Optimal builds are fine for tournament play but trying to distill every deck down to its most effective build is so boring. 😴 Props to both you guys for playing fun decks! 👏

I love magic, but not too big on the new card design(everything post onslaught) and i have sold my entire collection multiple times!!! If I would of know a channel and community like this exists. then I would still be playing with my two play sets of dualeys, but because I have just now become aware of this, I’m starting from scratch……yet again…..

As cute as False Orders is, Park’s deck would be better off with more burn and more Tawnos’s Wands.
It interesting how both of your decks need to do a similar thing, and both benefit from similar cards. Your deck too could use Tawnos’s Wand to sneak poisonous creatures by.
Wand would def be useful, but my main strategy is play tempo. Destroy my enemies lands, ramp up with the elves and moxen, and tap down his creatures with paralyze, making my way through with my poisonous creepy crawlers ☠️
Ok, i gotta ask, don't get mad: Who skips the deck fotos, and why? that's such a cool part of these videos, why would u want to miss out on it? Pls educate me!

Love the False Orders too btw! I only own one copy myself, which I have tried in my Atog deck. I couldent really make it work, but after this match I kinda wanna try again!
It'd be nice if you posted the decklists. Reading a big pile of cards is hard to do, even on a computer screen.
I don’t have lists only pics and what’s in my brain 🧠 The best thing to do is play a lot of old school and you’ll recognize all the cards in no time 👍
Timmy have you thought about adding tawno’s wand to make your scorpions and snakes unblockable ?
