Nice games. Maybe Concordant Crossroads can be a card to consider in Tour deck Thomas. Can sometimes allow a sneak poison attack to finish a match, when the opponent thought they had for sure an exta turn. Also, quite good at cheaply removing Abyss and Moat. For Ricardo. Sweet deck. Have you tried playing with Braingeyser? Good to fill your hand or as a finisher sometimes.
Thanks! Yes, definitely considered it. Only decided against it, because in the early game I'm usually still behind on lands due to wanting the Tax activations. I might test it in the future though.
love the alternate wincons. I always played Legend of the Five Rings in addition to M:TG and L5R has quite a few of them baked into the ruleset (honour victory, elemental rings), while in Magic it seems to be mostly specific cards spawning an archetype. Very cool to see you guys try this in OldSchool, did you agree upon the decks beforehand or did it just happen?
Hello. I absolutely love your videos like i love MtG oldschool. I think two ivory towers do the same as one. We played it like this in the past. But today it could be that the artifact is the source of that life gained. Really interesting how the Game evolved over the time. Or our Understatement of the Rules where just wrong. I remember a deck of a friend based on pestilence and Circle black plus white Knight. He normaly spend 3 for the pest and only 1 mana for the circle to prevent all 3 damage from the pestilence. Today i know it was cheating 😂
Thanks Andreas 🙌 Yeah, our understanding of the rules was different and also the rules have changed so often since. That’s why most of us who play os today play by the modern rules. It helps making the game playable and prevent endless rules discussion. The two towers do work like this btw. Both trigger at the beginning of your upkeep, and each will cause you to gain the appropriate amount of life.

Ricardo needs to splash green and add Sylvan Library. Land Tax shuffling Sylvan is insane. Life gain and drawing extra cards with Sylvan is also nutty. Also, between main and side boards, Hurricane will also work well, killing Specters, Efreets, Angels, etc.

Also I would run at least 2x of each basic land so that if you Tax, you can get three different basics. A couple Fellwars would be good too although I don’t remember if he ran any.
Feldon’s cane used to be an all star, but it seems a little forgotten these days. Agree with the Crypt, also useful in sb against all those beautiful reanimator decks 👌

If u are playin a deck without creatures u have to play the wrath main...ore the moat ...and the maze....i think i would play the counters..the moat ...and the serra in sideboard to play an other strategie after boarding ..so the wrath in main deck
I think he really wasn't counting on poison and to be fair, I have only saw a poison deck once at a tournament and that's it. It's really difficult to get a win in with poison in 93/94.
Good point, I know they don't do it on purpose, but it's good to keep in mind when posting. One of the things you can do to prevent this is post a more generic comment in your first post and comment on yourself with the details about the gameplay.

A tip for recardo, use a library of leng, with the mine, you get to skip the discard phase which is so good for multiple howling mines

Well spotted, I made some changes to the SB since I last took a photo. I play 3 in my sb now (got them in a trade).
My first Poison Deck is a Red/Black/Green deck with 4 Dwarven Warriors.

What could work with poison deck? Clones, jumps, flight, concordant crossroad or instill energy, dual Lands, fear, invisibility, tawno's wand.

Most non-blue decks should run a Feldon’s Cane, IMHO.
And Mill decks should run Tormod’s Crypt.
