When I was studying abroad in Japan, we were forbidden from going to any places associated with the yakuza.

Snow Nope, he is a storyteller too, which is someone who tells stories. If you are an elder from a tribe, telling stories from thousands of years ago, they are not your from authorship, but you tell them as best you can.

That sleepwalking story is such good horror. Really creeps you out in the right aways. It doesn't even actually point out the implication that if he continued sleeping there he may one day have sleepwalk killed himself, like what may have happened with the previous owner. Neither does the closet ever actually open. Perfect use of fear of the unknown.

The ending was slightly anticlimactic, i mean when he said "electric" ! I did however get super creeped out throughout 99% of it!
My house has no basement, but the utility room at one time in the past was the back porch and it has a cement cap in the corner of the room over what I was told by the former owner was a dry cistern. He said his wife used to store home canned food on shelves down there. I've lived here ten years now and have never been down there nor even lifted that cap. Unless a tornado is ever headed straight for this house I have no intention of ever going down there or looking, lol.

The hairs were marching up and down on my arms for that one.
If you are in the woods, and it is noisy (like the woods tend to be), if the woods go silent, you need to go silent too and pay very close attention to your surroundings. I've only ever had this happen to me once. As a kid, I would spend a large amount of my free time roaming my local woods, much to the dismay of my mother. I continued this habit into my teenage years. Anyway, one day while deep in the woods all by myself, the entire forest suddenly became quiet. Like, people in suburbs and cities have probably never heard this kind of quiet. The average house is louder. It's super creepy when you know there are living animals all around you and every single one of them decides to be totally quiet all of a sudden. Well, I never did figure out WHY they suddenly got quiet, but I didn't stick around to find out. As soon as the forest got quiet, I got this very weird sense of danger and immediately went into fight or flight and noped myself at full speed all the way home.
This is true. When animals sense danger or an evil presence, the Forrest will go silent, even cicadas stop singing. Your best bet is to leave. Happened to me in Okinawa.

@atoli30 there are also other rules of nature that one must follow while deep in the woods. Those who fail to do simple things like picking up all your trash and taking it out with you. Or maintaining a sense of noise discipline. Only make excessively loud noise if necessary. To make the noise of a novice, such as not picking your feet up as you walk or taking much louder than what is needed... it is believed that the woods senses these things and can send negative energy to those who come to disturb its peace. And ALWAYS respect the wildlife. Animals are FAR superior to humans in so many ways... but our own egos keep most people from accepting this fact

I've watched the craigslist videos like 3 times over because I always think it's a new one, one RUclipsr (I don't know if it's lazy or not) had a series on Craigslist but they stoped making new vids on it a few years back! These two hour videos make great listening for when I'm mowing the lawn for a guy I work for (full thing takes about an hour and a half to two hours) only thing is that I need to turn my headphone volume up really loud to hear over the mower. This isn't normally an issue since the talking isn't loud enough to hurt my eardrums or anything, but every time you start a new story it's like a jumpscare when you suddenly start talking again. Here's to you for managing to scare the shit out of me both with the creepy stories, and just surprising me in general.

I dunno why but that dream brothers one rly hit me weird and made me tear up a bit. Its like maybe those 2 were best friends or even close brothers in a past life or something and he just couldn't kill him.

When I was in my late teens, I went to go somewhere with my mother; and we had left the car windows cracked, because we didn't have air conditioning and didn't want the car to get too hot (We did that a lot. Our car was old, so it was unlikely to be targeted to be stolen.). When we opened the doors to get in, we noticed one of those plastic photo sleeves that you get when you would get a roll developed, laying on the seat. Inside were a few pictures of me, from winter, walking our dog in the snow. I never found out who took them, but it was pretty creepy.
