The fact this young lady hasn’t received a grammy for her music lets us all know the industry is completely fkd up! Her album omg!!!! Off the fkng charts! She brought the 90s love back to life and due to the pandemic it really held her music back. She needs to re-release her album NOW cause it will do so well. She better get back to her music cause she’s no joke with it!
And yes…. It’s ok for us Black Women to be STRONG for others but not for our selves?!Black Men better take heed to that as well. Black Men keep thinking we (Black Women) must shut up and follow, why would we need to be lead when we nurture and birth them? They better recognize! They come from us!

Timing is everything. The “no’s” can sometimes be a blessing in disguise and preparing us for something greater as she mentioned.
When she spoke about being there for everyone else, providing her creativity to other artists..it made me think of T-Pain. He was feeling the same way, speaking about not charging the most for features and doing features for free, but when he needed them, it was crickets! She’s super talented in a selfish world and it sucks!

Coming from a 42 year old male perspective A Thousand And One is a fantastic movie. There are so many great actors in this film. This may be the next generation of great actors in this film. I loved it.
They gentrified Spanish Harlem too. I grew up there in the 90s. I’m the same age as Teyana and now all the boricua culture is gone. No more murals on the buildings, no block parties, no open sprinklers in the summer, no bodegas. It’s sad, they bought a lot the buildings.

Saw the movie last night and it was worth it! You don’t have to be from NYC to love it BUT being a New Yawkah you are able to enjoy the nuisances, you under Rudy’s sound bites, you remember Stop & Frisk, Jaywalking laws that lasted only a summer( a joke), ordering candy from the Bodega, the fashion, the food, the HUSTLE AND GRIND. The housing laws! Landlords were able to be garbage but now they have HSTPA law to protect tenants. Now NYC isn’t perfect but together we make it better. ❤Great job Teyana
