All of us Disney kids that grew up watching coco are screaming to the top of our lungs for her!! I remember reading Disney was suppose to give her a tv show after the movie and they made “dog with a blog” instead. They robbed us of black excellence 🙄 I think they just didn’t want to put 2 black girl tv shows at the same time bc ANT farm with china Ann McClain was out . They couldn’t handle the talent smh
I saw her on the Terrell show where she was showing off her singing skills. Not only is she a talented singer, she's very funny as well. I'm glad to see her shining.
This girl did a good job. The people that are here as her fan probably appreciate Nala's question. I feel like her presence made the atmosphere more relaxed. Coco personality definitiely came out and she seemed comfortable. I hope she gets to do this more.
Nala, you did an amazing job with your questions and work in this interview! Really appreciated your consideration, energy, and relatable professionalism with Coco. Hope to see more of you in the future 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I've never been so happy for a celeb as much as I am for coco like I get genuinely ecstatic when she wins and im so glad she's finally getting the recognition she finally deserves
Coco is the kind of success story that encourages me as an underground artist with a small following. Seeing how she’s developed her skills and slowly blown up after seizing each and every opportunity she’s been giving has been inspirational! She has quickly become a mainstay in the industry and for good reason. She is so incredible! I know if I put in the work, I can reach a larger audience some day too, but for now, I’m happy being a supporter. My turn will come too. Salute to Coco🔥
Coco Jones!! I will root for her in every aspect!! Talented and So Stunning!! Appreciate Nyla for asking real questions. Usually I enjoy TBC but Charla and Envy didn't really ask good questions nor did research on her. It could be a generational gap, but I still enjoyed her having a spotlight on TBC to grow even further!
Right Nyla was prepared and tried to keep them on track. I've seen her in interviews a few times and no one ever asks her about the Terrell show or T and Coco. That was really my reintroduction to her. I feel like no one researches.
When she released the Hit different verse on Tiktok I literally went and searched who she was. I thought it was a song really recorded. I’ve been a fan ever since. I had no prior knowledge of her being on Disney. I found out once I looked her up. Great interview! Congratulations Coco on all your success! There is more to come!
I was thinking this the whole time I watched the interview. She’s a beautiful woman regardless of her complexion. You wouldn’t even think she dealt w colorism had she not said it
Disney REALLY missed out on her and I bet they ALL looking crazy in the face! Pure example of how God will work things out in your favor and how God’s timing is EVERYTHING! 🙌🏽 There is MORE to come with her and I’m cheering her on! 👏🏽
Coco is destined for greatness, there is no doubt about that, everything about her just screams greatness, i could call her beautiful but i feel like that wouldnt be enough 🙏🏿💯
@@jayj8135 How is she too dark ? Nobody is too dark. Lupita and Viola are just as dark of not more and they are considered icons. Nina Simone, Lauryn Hill, Foxy Brown, Missy Elliott
@@angechrisman1694 despite lightskin being the minority of blacks and there are 3X as many dark skin blacks the majority of blacks you see in entertainment are biracial and or lightskin. She even talks about her Disney experience and how long it took bc they were saying in so many words that shes too dark
The way Charlamagne and Envy go at each other is absolutely adorable. I LOVE THOSE TWO!! The show has always been great, but it’s even more enjoyable now. The guest host idea is working.
I think it's sad that all of these talented, melanated black women are looked over because of their skin color. Most of these light skinned women can't even act, or sing, but because they're light skinned, they are picked. Yes, this is coming from a person with lighter skin, but I definitely don't agree with the colorism practices that record companies, Hollywood seem to keep doing over and over again. Coco is gorgeous, and hella talented. So proud of her, and it shouldn't be that hard when you have talent on her level. This colorism shit need to change.
What's even more sad is that this practice is not only in Hollywood or the entertainment industry. I'm a dark skinned woman and I've watched it happen to myself, friends and family as well in our regular everyday jobs. My mom who held a master's degree in nursing was passed over for a promotion of charge nurse in favor of another nurse who had not yet obtained her master's but looked the way the hospital administration wanted her to look. It's sad because my mother was the higher credentialed candidate and had also been working for the hospital for several more years. The hospital lost a lot of good nurses because they were downright furious at how my mother was treated. It's one thing and still very ridiculous when colorism and favorism shows up in entertainment but imagine not hiring a more qualified nurse for skin color related reasons. I imagine the patients want the more qualified nurse in charge. Ridiculous!!
@@beautifulsurprise9424 That's truly sad. The color of one's skin shouldn't even be a factor, but society is just totally screwed, especially our black race.
@@minkki5656 Agreed but one thing I don’t agree with is how some Black people want there to also be a further divide among dark skinned Black people and lighter skinned Black people. Being Black is hard enough as it is in America than for us to be fighting among ourselves. I don’t know what the solution would be because the lighter skinned ones of us are going to take the advantages they receive no matter why the receive them and as I already pointed out it’s hard enough being Black in this country. Too hard to be passing up opportunities no matter how they fall into your lap so I can’t say I blame someone for accepting a promotion when it’s presented to them. Sadly, I don’t know what the solution is but I’d like for us as a race of people to be able to present a United front but it’s hard when a group of us feels slighted and passed up for another group of us. Fix it Jesus!!
