A genuine master of guitar and music it’s incredible how there’s literally no noise between his chord movements. Going all over the neck playing chords 1 after another and there’s literally no noise between the chords. And that lick at the end was beautiful. And thank you for bringing the Ibanez AZES to the market. I now have 5 of them. 3 humbucker in different colors and two SSS in different colors.
Thank you so much!I have worked on my muting techniques. Plus, I set my amp loud and brighter so that no one can hide any noise issues. If you use coating strings so you won't notice this. Wow! Please show those on Instagram! Tag me!

It is very important to understand the triads, and it is perfectly understood in the way that is explained by you Master Tomo. Thank you because I have made good progress.
What an amazing lesson! On the nose… 3+ years focused on CAGED, and Major scale shapes and patterns and finding triads and the linear major scale patterns now dominate my improvising. Final note on another lesson that had DRAMATIC impact was the daily linear all finger exercise and 1/4/5 swing, each focused on accuracy and quiet transfers from notes. So grateful for your lessons! Thank you Tomo!!

Beautiful! Thanku Mr Tomo Fujita, I have become able to visulaize the fretboard in a new way. Please do a video like those on drop 2 voicings as well. These videos are so good that I don't even need to focus too much to learn the concept, I am already applying these concepts on the triads of other scales and their respected triad families. Life has become so much easier. You are doing a great work!
You suggested I do this lesson basically. I did start when I was younger but I guess I stopped as it got harder. Thanks again for the encouragement. You're one of the few that actually responds. I'm very grateful.

Very informative and useful. I’ve learned a new perspective of chord changing by knowing the intervals of the triad I’m on. If I’m changing to the 5th I know the root note is the so note of the triad I’m on. Or up 2 frets for the minor 6th or down 2 frets for the 4th, etc. A good way of mapping the fretboard by intervals. Thanks Tomo!

A typical root position triad has the root as the lowest note, the third as the middle note, and the fifth as the highest note. So, in the case of the C major triad, the root position would be C-E-G. The triad C G E does not follow this pattern, so some people would not consider it a root position or an inversion. Instead, some might say that it's just a "spaced" chord, or a chord that's not in a specific position.
Thanks for this video, Tomo! Working on triads is opening up the fretboard more for me. As others have said, I need to remind myself to slow down. It's surprising how often I have to do that!

Tomo, thank you for the excellent lessons! I have learned so much watching them. This lesson on triads really helped advance my understanding and playing. I have a guitar teacher this year, but next year I am singing up for Guitar Wisdom :-) Happy Playing everyone!
Hey Tomo! Regarding the last section where you were soloing and said has nothing to do with the lesson (from 12:15 onward), were you thinking of the modes relating to the chords you played and soloed within those chords? How do I work on and improve the skill if improvising the way you did at the end? Do you have a video about that?
That's my triad lesson! Playing over G D Em C (1564) Play Do Re Mi (Do Re Me) Root 2 3 note from each chords then play two inversions of triad arpeggios. Thank you so much!

Great lesson, will definetly look into the guitar wisdom soon. I focused a lot on metal - which is quite pattern/scale driven. The triads really help to get the fingers in the right places once you move on the fretboard. Would highly appreciate a lesson about pick-volume. Playing something crisp and articulate some notes with pushing them into saturation really got me into electric guitar.
Just making a point. Great lessons. He plays excellent, is a well accomplished musician too. He always says thumb over the top is just incorrect or wrong way, respectful so. However, Hendrix style of playing bass with his thumb is an actual thing. Not saying either is right or wrong, just telling me that sometimes we find greatness going where we are often told not to.
I did not say wrong way... if you do this way all the times, just in case, other way to do... I may exacerbate it. Hendrix plays his style so well. That's all good! I just want all my students know about "Choices" That's all! This way you know how to do well both ways and you can pick however you enjoy. That was what I taught to John Mayer. Foundation.
i might be too new to this but i wish i could see more finger placement..I am not advanced enough to know which fret and string just from hearing those lovely sounds. it would be helpfull if you could show this graphically.

Would it be idea to change a camera angle so, that it is possible for beginners identify a finger position on neck. In current camera angle hand hide a finger position on neck. Maybe later when notes are learned, it is easier to identify them by ear, but for beginners need to see the finger positions on frets. Thank You.
Love how even basic videos have something for more advanced players. Sorry for the 'shopping' question, but what is your beautiful white strap in this video?
I like this clip very much(I bookmarked this one already), and learning this, but I need to memorize the notes in the whole fretboard. That's tough for me. 🙃
This is almost like advanced lesson with fundamental music theory 😂😂 the details with the muting bridge, release left hand and play slowly, wow, I like that order and description.
@@TomoFujitaMusic ahh thank you for sharing this! I was just joking a little bit, about how deep our connection to the instrument is can be advanced idea, I remember when I first started guitar at 12 it took me many years to realize how much tension I had in my hands and shoulders. But I appreciate how you discuss these concepts in a very easy to understand way here. But thank you!! I noticed that in the playlist you have titles with "super simple" I will focus on those more first.
Tomo you're such a character. You got me cracking just by your facial expressions and manner. Thank you for the lesson! I started eating up your videos because they are super-comprehensive to me.
Thanks for sharing. There is no absolute one clear answer for this. 1) No memorization! Spend a lot of hours to really understand each possible inversions of triad. 2) Please don't think... every keys or everything. Start with simple and small amounts so that you can really learn the details. Maybe a few keys for a long time. C. F and one more.

First you can learn only top 123 set strings. This way you only see 3 types!
Thanks tomo
You're welcome!
Thank’s. Good lesson.
Thanks!
You should do an entire video on open voicing triads (with the middle note displaced an octave). They're really interesting.
Thank you!
One day I'll be your student and it's going to be amazing Berkeley I'm coming just watch
Thank you so much! Please join my Guitar Wisdom! So you can learn!
3:24 there seems to be a problem with subtitles 👀
Ha ha! So Do Mi! 2nd Inversion!
Would it be idea to change a camera angle so, that it is possible for beginners identify a finger position on neck. In current camera angle hand hide a finger position on neck. Maybe later when notes are learned, it is easier to identify them by ear, but for beginners need to see the finger positions on frets. Thank You.
Thanks so much for sharing! How about this one?

This is awesome! I didn't know Jackie Chan does guitar lessons.
Thank you so much! Yes!
Love how even basic videos have something for more advanced players. Sorry for the 'shopping' question, but what is your beautiful white strap in this video?
Thank you so much! That's from Japan
I like this clip very much(I bookmarked this one already), and learning this, but I need to memorize the notes in the whole fretboard. That's tough for me. 🙃
Glad it was helpful! Better not memorize them! Learn & be familiar with them! With triads & arpeggios.
@@TomoFujitaMusic why I said that. if I don't memorize, have no idea how to find out the triad position of every chord in the fretboard.
Learn them slowly! Major scale on one string! You will understand this eventually.
Hi - just found you. Great stuff!
Awesome, thank you!
Fascinating
Thank you!
You are the best tomo
Thank you!
Goooooooal🎉🎉🎉🎉😂, felicitaciones 🙏🏽
Thanks so much!

You're welcome!
Zen guitar:forever student!!
Thank you so much!
I love two things: Simplicity & Limitation!
Thank you Tomo! I'm starting to slowly understand what Jimi Hendrix is actually playing and possibly John Mayer as well! :D

Tomo you're such a character. You got me cracking just by your facial expressions and manner. Thank you for the lesson!
I started eating up your videos because they are super-comprehensive to me.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it! Please enjoy!
Will memorizing the notes of the fretboard help? Thank you for the lesson! :D
No. No memorization! Music is moving! If you memorize them, you will stuck! So be familier with them super slowly.

Thanks 👍😊😊 helpful 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴
Thank you!
So do you practice all these positions for every chord until eventually you have them all memorized?
Thanks for sharing. There is no absolute one clear answer for this.
1) No memorization! Spend a lot of hours to really understand each possible inversions of triad.
2) Please don't think... every keys or everything. Start with simple and small amounts so that you can really learn the details. Maybe a few keys for a long time. C. F and one more.
I see. Thanks for responding. Really love your content it's very helpful. Thank you
