Becky you are a great teacher and very smart. You will get the hang of that Mac book!
@Power Tools With Thread Had to watch tonight because I had a scan and cut class at store today. Last night I think on Lisa Shaw's After Hours show she said when the holes don't match all you have to do is hit Create and Combine holes and then the stiches go the right way. I tried to recreate it but mine kept coming out right from the beginning. This way you don't have to open and close each one.
@Donnan5192 I’m not familiar with Lisa Shaw. Where can I find the show you speak of? Please and Thank you 😊
It’s snowing like crazy here at the beach! Very unusual for us to get any snow
Great tutorial you are great
Watching the replay, thanks
I hate I’m missing your lives on my day off! But the recording is great too. Frito, so sweet
Love the blog about the scan n cut models- very comprehensive and read it multiple times before I shopped a few months ago ❤
I love my scanncut I use it to cut out my format paper piecing pieces and regular quilt squares. I also do appliqué. I make funny saying T-shirt. And decals and stickers. I had bought a cricket twice I HATED IT BOTH TIMES. Scanncut you can connect to wifi but you don’t have to. As you can tell I love my scanncut
Watching the replay from Adelaide Australia. I watch every day. I am the lucky owner of a Scan n Cut from my hubby for my 60th birthday on Tuesday. 🎉
Catching the replay. I envy all you early risers 🤩
In order to use “inside/out button” you must be in black and white for it to appear. It took me forever to find this information in the manual.
Accuquilt is amazing with strips cutting.
Have been trying to catch up! Have decided that is impossible so just doing the best I can! Cleaning out house for spring and joy!
I’m watching the replay also.
Thx again for this live I know it wasn’t perfect but we learned sooo much.💝
I was really lucky. I got an SDX330D on a layaway sale for balance owes and got almost 300.00 off of it. Your videos have me hooked. I have a bunch of projects I want to accomplish. You took out the fear factor of using it.
That is so awesome!
My hubby is thinking about bringing me to El Campo in September!! We are in Washington state so it will be HUGE for us!! Oh I hope we get to come. We have a commercial fishing vessel and Gary is still working so all depends on the fishing schedule. We have a person in training to take over for Gary . He’s on probation with running the vessel right now. He messed up and ended up costing us big bucks. So we will see.
Had to watch you on replay today. I was able to watch on the big screen. Needless to say, Frito took a walk behind you and boy oh boy, my 2 fur babies went crazy. They thought Frito was here. Ozzie, my Aussie went around the entertainment center looking for Frito. Too funny.
Oh that’s so funny! It’s a good thing Frito didn’t show up on screen, or those pups would have been going bonkers.
For the word "love"...when you added the two lines at the L and the E...can you then select the entire word and "join" or "union" or "combine"??? While those things are selected try right clicking to see if you get a drop down menu with options! I can do that in FTCU. I was able to close the shape before going to any sort of stitch conversion. There must be a way to do it in Embrilliance!
What’s FTCU?
Enjoy your video. I just started to watch and want to order the scanner!❤
👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Hi Becky. My name is MaryAnn and I’m from Seymour in Victoria, Australia. Its just after 4am. I have a scan n cut and I haven’t used mine yet. So I’m listening girl and I’m hoping that I’ll learn something. 🥰🤗
@@marybrincat4846 me and you both lady! Keep it up!!
What blade were you using today? Any cut settings that we need to know of? Thank you! Love your classes
Today I was using the standard black blade. The cut settings are automatic in the SDX models.
Hi again Becky...here's a quick experiment to try with the applique and the wonky blanket stitch direction: Throw an "unaltered" letter B from CanvasWS over to Embrilliance and convert it to applique! We know that the B from Canvas is in "one" piece not three! Also bring over a "deconstructed" B from CanvasWS (three objects instead of one...re last week's email). Convert that to applique as well. Now compare the two results! I am really curious what happens to the blanket stitch on the inner holes of the B's. I can guess what will happen! BUT then again!
It would also be interesting to change the "order" in your sequence menu "before" converting to applique! That might alter the results! The software might produce a different result if the inner holes of the letters are "above" the outer letter than when they are "below" in the ordering! Just a thought!
I converted both of the B's to applique in FTCU. In my case though...the direction of the blanket stitch was correct for both! No flipping stitch direction needed! I DID figure out a way to make it "stack" the applique though. I copied pasted "one" of the inner holes on the deconstructed B before converting to applique. So I had "four" objects. The outer B, the two inner holes, and an extra hole stacked on top of one of the inner holes! That extra hole gave me the result that you had with your blanket stitch facing inward. I can see that being useful in applique! So THANK YOU SO MUCH! I learned a LOT!!!
FUN FUN show today!
Your directions are excellent, but they are way too in-depth for my crowd!! Lol
@@PowerToolsWithThread oops. Sorry. I wondered whether I should have sent an e-mail. haha I've been perplexed about that blanket stitch since last week! And when it happened again today...well...I had to play around to try to find out "why"! Love your show! I'll watch quietly!!! haha
@@ellew2691 Your input is ALWAYS appreciated!
Good morning finally catching a live
Hi Becky, I started using my scan n cut. I loaded my OESD patterns and kept it to original size. The pieces were way to big? What do you think could have gone wrong? Thank you!! Wish Texas wasn’t so far away, I would love to attend your retreat!
Maybe this video can help. ruclips.net/video/Ngcrscno9oo/видео.htmlsi=JV3_N4B_g-wmSKST
I'm new. I don't know anything about scan n cut. I am interested, though! Thanks!
Good morning
Woodstock, il is where I am from!
Just noticed your date is wrong (2-5-25 not 4-5-25) Thanks for all you do.
I’m going to meet you in July at Shawn’s Sewing Center
Where did you purchase your aqua colored paper tape dispenser from
That was a KimberBell exclusive in a Bella box several years ago.
Thanks
Info request...How do you know if you need to inflate for applique and how much to inflate? I am confused...thank you for your assistance.
You can stitch the placement line out on just stabilizer and see if the cut file will fit. That’s the best way to test.
@@PowerToolsWithThread thank you🙂
Becky, most people have windows machines, please teach on windows. We only have Apple phones and iPads.
So the issue with the reverse lines wasn’t a Mac issue it was a broken line issue because the same thing happened on your PC?
Does anybody have the scan and cut on sale??
I bought mine from Ken’s Sewing Center. no tax and sipping is free.
Hi, first time watching. Your channel doesn’t comment what day and time your channel is on.
Every week day 7:00 to 8:00 AM - Central time.
No wonder I always miss the live! Thats 5am am my time!
Is there anyone here who has done snaplique using a Cricut?
I hear it can be done. But you have to calibrate your phone with a printed calibration page, then upload a photo of the image to their software, and be very careful of scaling since I understand it's significantly smaller than the printed pattern. I'd do a RUclips search for creating svg files with a Cricut and see what comes up.
@@PowerToolsWithThreadThank you, Becky. I will do more research on that. I bought a Cricut Maker when they first came out and I have never used it. It doesn’t seem to be as user friendly as the Scan n Cut but I could be mistaken. I appreciate you and your channel very much. You are an awesome teacher. 👏🏻💐🌸🌹
I don’t think this comment went through. In order to see inside/out button” you must be in black and white scanning. Other wise it doesn’t come up
