In this Install video we show you how to install a Navitas 4KW AC motor and 600 amp Controller.
We also show how to wire and install a new IQ Harness, Run/Tow switch and MZJ-400 solenoid.
This cart is a 94 Club Car Resistor cart but works for the same as the series and IQ

Great video! Dang where was this video 3 weeks ago lol took me forever to figure out the 3900 wire harness for my navitas 600amp 5kw ac conversion in my 95 CC DS. I modified the Mcor4 kit to work with it tho, fairly easy and works awesome! Just have to get the pre MCOR to MCOR4 conversion and then the "hill brake kit" and cut a little off pivot rod to fit pedal stop and reinstall factory return spring. Then you have the latest and greatest throttle controller 👍

Just to confirm , will this 39000 for for the 5kw motor ? I have a 48v 105ah roypow battery , the full conversion for the 5kw Navitas including controller ect .
So Hey guys, I purchased a full Navitas kit for my DS from you (Golfcartsmodified) and you sent me a pb-6 that Travis modified to have the fifth wire because you said there was a shortage of pb-8s. So, I got the red and black from the switch and another red and black with an added blue wire. I gave you guys a call and sent an email to tell me what was what... nothin'. I can't be the only one, so show me (us) what's what. Good vid though.
Did you figure this out? I only have 4 wires, two red and two black

One question I don't see the mounting plate on the parts list. How and where do I purchase?
Just a note. 2 years later and these color combos are not correct. I just installed this on my resistor cart. The colors given for FNR are backwards. Not a huge deal since I could use the app to tell what was what. Grey is FWD and Brown is REV. On the Pedal box. The PB8 I got was a Chinese clone (called CURITS). Grey jacket with red, white and black wires. The instructions given in the video for this box aren't correct. I was gettin max of .68 V upon pedal press. The correct color combo is Red->Harness White (5V+), Black->Harness Purple (GND), White -> Harness Yellow (Wiper). Otherwise, Thank you for this! Couldn't have done it without your instruction.

It seems like some of these wires could be put down the same flex loom and those same wires could all be connected to the same ring terminal. That would make eliminate the need for so many pieces of smaller flex loom off the main cable. This would make it look a bit easier. Especially if the ends of the flex loom were labeled with where they are supposed to connect to.
I’m guessing that those bundle of wires at the end (red and orange) can be used for the Backup alarm
At 33:10, your putting 2 small ring connectors on the left side of the solenoid.
Why dont you run both wires down the same flex loom and have both wires connected to 1 single ring terminal?
Then you can eliminate one of the smaller flex loom branches.

What if I have an MCOR? Then I have no existing linkage for the PB8 actuator. Is there a separate kit for that?

I am installing same system. My solenoid is a Curtis/Albright SW180B-1125. I don't have the 2 small lugs on this solenoid? It has spade connectors but not sure which to use?

I believe placing an insulator between the aluminum frame and the galvanized L bracket to stop corrosion
Is this wiring harness made by your company?
Or is this something that you found and are modifying for your use?
It seems like things like the brown wire for the OBC would never be used since DS resistor carts never had an OBC.

You wouldn't happen to have a harness built our for the Teekon AC kit would you? I'm in the same boat and had a resistor cart that i bought a harness for a ds that uses the black Curtis 1510 controller. I got the Teekon kit all hooked up and but the cart does not go in forward or reverse, thinking I need to jumper a wire somewhere.

Does the connector have to be rewired if I'm installing this system to a golf cart other than the club cart? I'm going from a Curtis controller which is also running an 5kw motor currently but I'm concerned that the existing golf cart wiring harness will not fit directly to the navitas controller. Would you be able to provide guidance?

I want to add a relay and fuse block that gets the 48V signal from the key switch.
What color is the key switch wire that only has 48V when the key switch is on?
There are 2 wires going up to the key switch.
One has 48V constant? The other has 48V only when the key is on.
I notice that you have lots of colored heat shrink on your bench, but you dont seem to use it.
You dont put red heat shrink on the battery end of the cable.
That same cable goes to the large lug on the left of the solenoid, but you dont put red heat shrink that covers part of the cable and the crimped portion of the lug.
Your 3 cables between the controller and the motor dont have heat shrink matching the colors of the cables that connect at the motor.
Do you have a label maker? Dont you label each end of the cables U, V, and W?
Great video Ryan, have one question about the Mcor on my 04 club cart ds. The color of wires coming off of my triangle plug is yellow,purple,and black. Since the wiring harness has yellow,purple,and white, does my black wire become white? Thanks!
I have a 04 club car DS not lifted running 25/26 mph with 4 on the cart 28mph with 2 on the cart(D&D speed motor, navitas controller 600amp solenoid and 48v 120ah big battery eagle lithium pack) I am curious if u think the 4k navitas motor upgrade is worth it. What kind of speed will I see? Thanks

Is there enough diameter in the large flex loom, so that I can add a 8 or 10 gauge red wire that runs from the battery box to behind the dash?
Thats where I want to install the fuse block for all of the lights and accessories that are controlled from the dashboard.
Use that unneeded brown wire for that.
Consider tapping those mounting holes and add the nut on the back.
Can I use a AC Curtis controller on a DC motor on a golf cart?
I have 2017 ezgo txt. with 48volt lithium battery. what solenoid do I need to use when installing navidas 48 volt , 440 amp controller and 4kw motor? what is the disadvantage of using the factory solenoid?

Why do you not run shocks on the rear? I am pulling my cart apart and saw the shocks were trash. So what would be a reason not to put new ones on?
Because they serve no purpose and actually make the cart ride rougher

The controller can eliminate regen.

Where can I get this exact kit, I have a 1997 day club car 36 volt resistor type cart just like the one in the video it is lifted 6 inches with 25 inch tires but it is slow 🐌 a golf cart company that sells Navitas kits said they don't make one for my cart but what you did with that cart I could do with mine same exact set up

2001 DS do you know if your cart is a Series cart or IQ cart?

Hi Ryan - excellent video! I love my Navitas system. Hoping you can help with a condition. With key on and set to fwd or rev, peddle pressed the solenoid does not always engage. Sometimes repressing the pedal engagss or furning off and on clears the sympton. Also, the cart bucks, loses power while driving, but this may be low battery fluid levels? That fault cleared aftee refilling above the plates. This is on a Club Car.AA0119. Thanks in advance.

Interesting that yesterday I replaced the MCOR4 and it solved all the problems and added so much more power. The front end comes off the ground now :-). I bought off EBay. Hope this helps.

Where do you get the mounting bracket from for the controller and solenoid? It’s not available on your page so it’ll be helpful to know where to get it to complete your build.

Hey Ryan, great Videos! we have a 2006 Club Car DS. It's an "AQ06" serial number. I have installed the 400a Navitas conversion and wand to install the 3900 harness. This video was awesome!. Just what I needed. I want to bypass the OBC and you had mentioned you use a different charging system on your cart. Can you point me to that video? We purchased a new external 48 volt charger. It is Diversified Power International

How in the world do I hook the key ignition up with the kit?
Awesome video, planning on doing this conversion to my cart. Just curious what your preference/recommendation would be for batteries?? Right now looking at "6 pack 8 volt trojan T875 deep cycle" and the Dakota lithium 48 volt 96Ah battery that comes with a charger. The Dakota lithium is tempting with the 11 year warranty.

Now the only problem is that with the new harness I have the same problem, no power to my controller. My controller is good because Navitas walked me through testing. It's beyond frustrating at this point. Does anyone want to buy an AC MOTOR and controller?

I'm running a Navitas 5Kw motor on my non lifted DS. I did have to lose my shocks and grind a little of the frame away. I'm going over 50MPH now.

Does anyone make the aluminum plate as a piece of flat metal that has the 90 degree bend at the top. What thickness should this be so that we can still drill holes in it? 1/8? 1/16?

The Eco 105ah. Will get you the range you are looking for. Or the 144ah kit will get you more

@@blakeshipe7377 I just did this last night. If it's the clone "CURITS" box, the white is your wiper wire and goes to yellow. Red goes to white and black goes to purple.

Have a 2009 EZGo RXV... what ac conversion can I use without lifting?
RXV’s don’t have a AC conversation because most of them are already Have AC motors. You can upgrade to a 600 amp controller. That will increase speed and Torque
