Bought this after your review. Thanks for the good review. Used it mainly without the net, flipped over, and had no Problems at all. I don't use sticks to keep the netting apart, but what you can do, is use a stick at the ends of the hammock, to keep it a bit wider. Not much, but it makes a little difference.
Awesome! Glad you're happy with it. 👍👊
"well, the truth is.. they bother me!" X^D i feel the same way! funny
😁👍
@@GearReviewDepotplanning on kayaking the mississippi river this summer but with all the flooding taking place someone suggested a hammock. never used one before but i have a lot of snugpak gear and it has always held up
Thanks this has helped me to know what I'm looking at.
I'd love a comparison with some of the other ones available on Amazon

Yeah I've definitely fallen out a few myself. It happens 😂. You'll get better at it the more you do it. Thanks for stopping by. Be safe my friend.

It good that it protects the tree, if the bark is removed around the tree 1/2 inch and less it will die, the tree gets its nourishment from the ground up the bark.
I love in the southern United States, and during the summer a mosquito net is a must. The thing I'm interested in is, does it come with shock cord, or paracord for the net. It would seem that shock cord would be quite a bit more logical, and a safer bet.
Mine came with shock cord.
Great review, and looks like a quality hammock. I use the Hennessy Expedition, and it has an attached netting. It comes with a canopy too, just in case of rain, or just to keep the heavy morning dew of of you. Thanks for sharing my friend.
I'm really hoping when I can to do some hammock camping, want to try sleeping in one for the night. I love camping (haven't been in 5 years though) but I never sleep really well in a tent, no matter what I'm laying on, I just don't sleep well. I sacrifice a good nights sleep just to be outside, I love camping but I just wish I slept better. I'm hoping this hammock camping thing works out. On another note, this rain crap we've been getting is really hurting for making videos, I already don't have lots of time and the rain certainly doesn't help. I'm also not looking forward to the hot humid weather, guess I can't be pleased. lol
Thank you for your description of the snugpack hammock and the hammock netting combined ect and I am going to purchase the same as you have got and again I thank you for making me choose the same hammock as you 😉👍
Ive been happy with mine, other than the fact I tied the net too tight and broke it again !! But, I think I'm going to attempt to fix it. However, I still think its a pretty good hammock for the money and what you get.
Absolutely my friend. Been enjoying mine very much, nice to be able to hang outside and not get eaten alive! Hope all is well on your end. Be well and stay safe.
Did it actually come with shock cord? I thought it came with regular paracord only
Mine did come with shock cord for the netting. It's been a while since this video so they could have made some changes.
@@GearReviewDepot alright.. I'm thinking of ordering one and i prefer shock cord..
Never tried one, because I'm a side sleeper, don't know how that would work, looks nice though..
As we get attacked by bugs early in the summer here in Canada the temptation to switch from a tent to a hammock is tempting. Great review Tim although I wanted to see you get in and out of that hammock..lol. Why are you at the State Park ( beautiful scenery I must say) as opposed to setting up the hammock for review at Camp #1?
I had two other reviews that I wanted to get done that I wanted to utilize the picnic tables at the park. I love that spot at the state park, as long as I get there early it's very nice but around noon the place really starts filling up. Also, there was somewhere I was going after working on videos and that park is on the way, camp #1 is way out of the way. It's really odd, I have a lot of people that feel the need to walk over start talking, they'er always asking "hey, how ya doing? what ya have going on here?" I mean seriously? Normally I don't mind chatting with people, I'll talk to anyone about anything, but when I'm working on videos, leave me alone. lol I like the state park, it has it's perks, but it also has it's down sides.
Oh by the way, watch for a very short video coming out later this week, y'our going to laugh your ass off. You asked about me getting in and out of the hammock? I never have issues doing that but I did have an incident this day that luckily I got on video! You're not going to want to miss this. lol
TheTacticalDefender Awesome! I look forward to it!!
TheTacticalDefender I hear you on that! I work with the public and spend my weekends trying to get away from the public and that's why I love the solitude of the woods.
