I hear nothing but good, actually great, reviews on this tire. Glad to see how it actually bites into the snow instead of just someone talking about it.
It’s truly lives up to all the hype it’s the only tire I ever had that does. And it’s not just now it’s the rain. It feels so planted in the rain. Even if you hit a lot of water I’ve never felt scared and it feels like you are riding planted on the road instead of above it if that makes sense when you’re in heavy water not only that but it’s supposed to perform down to 2/32 I guess we’ll see I’ve had them for about 40,000 miles in there at about 7/32
Not just "tractor" tire like, look at the tread pattern for F1 rain tires, or MotoGP rain tires. I just put a set on for the first time and these things seem to work well in the snow (didn't encounter snow that deep yet) and seem EXCELLENT in the rain. Normally when one side of any car hits deep water, it wants to pull in that direction, sometimes violently, especially at high speed. These seem almost completely immune to that so far.
Be thankful that at least this is a permanent AWD unlike every other compact SUV, whose "on-demand" AWD systems are just a marketing gimmick. And it even has X-Mode which attempts to simulate an LSD. Can't really ask for more when you're looking at compact economy SUV's, so if you need an LSD maybe you're not shopping the right type of vehicle. Or maybe you just need a lifted WRX STi with the LSD 😁

My GL350 would walk through that basically any all season/weather tire with little to no wheelspin. I mean how ya going to get up a steep hill with that??
It really doesn't count since you are actually using a Forester and you've got good ground clearance. I noticed a tad bit of slippage so that tells me they will not do as good as a real dedicated snow tire but they are definitely doing a whole lot better than a standard all season
Probably gonna get these for my 2011 Toyota RAV4 when the time comes for new tires. I want a high mileage tire that will still perform well in the snow and from everything I’ve seen I think this tire is the best option that fits both of those categories.

There is no Big Lie. These tires are really good. Focus on the performance and not the scenery- you and your car should enjoy at least four years of way better traction than the last four years.
A month ago I bought a 2025 Honda CR-V AWD to replace my trusty 2010 RAV4 V6 AWD that was totaled by a drunk, and immediately put CrossClimate2's on it because I go over a 9,300ft pass to work in the mountains. I've only had it in the snow once so far to work (put them on JUST in time for the recent storms!), but they seemed to do pretty well, only slipping slightly a couple times, once when I gave it gas on a steep icy (from the plow) uphill to test it but it was no drama, just something I felt, no correction needed. Turns out I should have had it in Snow Mode and it might not have slipped much at all. I'm heading to Durango/Silverton/Ouray this weekend to try it out in some more snow, so, hopefully with these and Snow Mode it'll plow thru it all like my old RAV (with lockable center diff) did. You know what the best part of this video is though? That proudly waving Trump flag! Yes, We The People are going to Make America Great Again! Let it RAIN salty liberal tears!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How is the noise of the tires now since at least 6 months has been past? I had 2 sets of nokian wrg4 already, while the grip is so good driving on snow but the noise level is insane after about 10000 miles.
I ended up putting Falken Wildpeak A/T Tails on my Impreza, but I think these Crossclimates might be my next tires. I don’t really go off road other than gravel or dirt roads and the Crossclimates are lighter, so gas mileage should be a little better.
I'd be interesting to see their performance on mud terrain, while inflated to moderately low pressure, like 15 psi. The tread looks agressive enough for it.
where I live, we just had 6' of snow in 30 days. Buildings collapsed, roads closed, passes closed,no truck deliveries,etc. And I just putt along, no problems :) Great tire, well worth the $$.

@@jamill79 actually it is, I don’t like kia at all I’m a Toyota fan,But the awd is good it’s made by magna Styer it really does preform look it up. Maybe it’s not as good as the best systems Subaru has the offer on a manual transmission car but the versions that are in the CVT cars are lacking now.

I put them on my rav 4 and I noticed about a 1-2 mpg drop. But .. they are the most secure feeling tired in the rain and snow I have ever driven they are quite and smooth out bumps Nicely. Whatever price trade off I made is worth every penny if it keep the car out of the body shop and away from insurance deductibles or improper repairs. That can reduce resale value by thousands not to mention keeping my family safe.
@@alexstdenis514 i just came back from nyc to montreal THROUGH the rain/snowstorm and they were outstanding, I was able to drive in the "snowy lane" without feeling any difference from the "safe lane" for that last stretch towards the border.. and yes they are good on dry and wet conditions, and yes i will keep em on 365 for sure... I agree with the guy who posted a video wondering if those tires are better than winter tires...it feels that way! The one caveat is that on ice they are good but not great, and having ABS is a must to meet their design specs in that regard

Curious, did you stay at the same Subaru PSI recommendation for these tires? (32/33 psi) I just bought a set for my 2017 XT, and it seems like it could use maybe 37psi or so. Any tips?
Tires seem excellent. But I’m not impressed with the Subaru’s performance in the snow, kind of surprised. Maybe it’s the limited slip, I don’t know. My 2016 Lexus RX hybrid plows through 2 feet of snow like it’s dry asphalt with cheap dealer tires. I ordered these Cross Climates, should be insane now.
@@Rafikny Ah, the CVT in my rig? I don’t know if it helps or not, but I purposely tried to spin out turning traction control off, and it still would just grab and go effortlessly. My rig aside, that Subaru you have is an excellent vehicle! My wife had a 2014 Legacy, and it was great as well
They are not ice rated. If you're on ice a lot get something like Blizzaks instead or even better get studded Blizzaks if they are allowed where you live.

The "tractor tyre"pattern speaks for itself, it removes snow from the tyre very well and grip is good, would love to try them

We have these on our forester (diesel manual) here in the U.K. we don’t get much snow but plenty of rain in which these tyres excel also 👍🏻🇬🇧

I've got Suzuki sx4 crossover. fwd, awd, and 4x4. Putting a set of these on Tuesday :).
