At 7’19” the button you describe is actually the parking sensors’ on/off switch, but the action you are describing is the ‘auto hold’ switch which controls the ‘electronic parking brake’ which is used to hold the car temporarily when at traffic lights, slight inclines etc. I have this switched on at all times in my 2022 GTLine-S HEV and never need to use the Park switch on the dashboard. And at 23’ you mention tyre pressures and you say 28psi, you need to look at the label on the drivers door pillar which suggests 35psi to be the correct normal pressure. It’s no wonder you are getting warnings, you have the wrong pressures set!
Very informative, learnt a lot. The thing with the KIA Sportage is that it comes with a huge amount of Driver Assist features, all of which are customisable. It requires the owner to explore and adapt to their own preference, so lazy drivers beware! Overall it is a really impressive vehicle the only negative is the poor turning circle
Just as an extra, if you press and hold the cruise button it switches to speed limiter which can be adjusted with button on the right side of the steering wheel, pressing this can toggle cancel and restore
I’m going to be doing another shorter video looking at some more tips and help based on feedback and the Sportage forum. If you want something specific then please let me know - wiper blades will be one item!
Great video looking to get a new Sportage so very helpful. Can you turn off the greeting sounds when you start up the car. I have done that on my current car. Just wondering if there is a setting? Thanks
Donald, this video is blinkin brilliant 👏👏 Easy to follow and described perfectly. I've just subscribed my friend. Well done on a first class presentation 👍
Thanx for the great video. I have been driving my PHEV for a year now and still looking for a couple of explanations. Like how do you get the windscreen wipers to move up so you can clean or replace them. And have you found a way to disable the nav. speed reduction when it thinks there is a bend in the highway and it automatically slows down. I've noticed the last one when driving through France basically on cruise control and auto steering the entire trip lol. But especially around Clermont-Ferrand with its bendy motorway, it would constantly try to slow down drastically and I had to press the accelerator to overrule.
@@MRT.1977 not just at low speed as sometimes on motorway driving. It’s done automatically dependent on all sorts of factors but don’t really notice it as swaps quickly from EV to petrol.
Sorry for the delay in replying. I only get a noise if I am near a speed camera and then I must be more than 5mph over the limit. Otherwise I don’t get any speed sounds. So if you can clarify your sounds then I may be able to help. Thanks

Yep you’re right on both counts. Thanks for correcting..
Really enoyed these detailed insights. Mainstream reviews shy away from such imformative videos. Thank you Donald !
Was thinking the same thing
Fantastic full video. I’m due a Hyundai Tuscon in January so hoping a lot of this information is transferrable to that model too, so thank you.

Lovely. Got a gt line HEV coming in 2 weeks. Looking forwards to doing all this 😂

@@MRT.1977 Not sure to be honest as quite like it! I’ll look into but don’t think so atm.

Verry informative thank you
Does your Sportage run in electric only at low speeds? If so, just wondered how that was.

Does the infuriating speed limit beep, make you want to kill?
it can be turned off
@policematrixx not permanently, it can't.
Thank you so much
7:19 u are totally incorrect... that's to turn of the beeping noise .. that's for the parking sensor.. 😅
HI There. Can you disable the wifi and bluetooth?
Yes you can by going into setting and phone connection then say only connect to Bluetooth from screen

Is there a way to shut of the sound when speeding?

Is this Kia Sportage phev or gt line and wich is better 🤔
Sorry for delay in replying but I don’t know which is better as I’ve only had the mild hybrid and I’m not a dealer just a Kia owner!
Is this car the mild hev which is poorer than full hibred or plugin
