Proud of you for spending so much time with Braxton, that is one young man who will not grow up wondering who/what he is, how he should dress, or who his friends and family are.
Best way to transport that style of equipment is with the ORs down. That will take the roll out of the equipment and the load will be tighter. Just a suggestion.
one of the best presentations you have done just watching yourself and Braxton spending quality time toghether is top top drawer Tim all credit to you and your wife, you both must be so proud of that young man
I just love watching you and Brax get so excited about trucking them heavy loads it’s just like my boy and I hauling logging equipment back in the sticks,,,, Tim you are a great dad and the world needs more dads like you!! Love you guys keep up the great videos!! #DETROIT POWER 💪💪💪
Yup out riggers down, but thats not why the outriggers go down though. The boom and counterweight on the RT cranes are way up there also unlike crawler cranes & mobile cranes where the counterweight can be removed easily for transport. so the RT is unusualy top heavy and when the out riggers are down it will help stabilize the ride.
Tim, that old Case probably has a 12 volt starter. As for batteries, it is quite possible as old as it is, it could have 2 6 volt batteries hooked in series. If it's got 2 12 volts they could be hooked in series for a 24 volt system, I doubt it is, or parallel, which would up the cold cranking amps. You would be surprised at parts availability for it. Case had millions of small dozers, backhoes and loaders as well as some farm tractors that used that engine, so parts should be available for at least the engine.
And when you unload that Dozer put some old car tires or truck tires down on the ramps where you won't dig into your boards on the edge of your trailer when you unhook the neck off of the gooseneck put some tires down it helps it keeps it from from digging in I'm not telling you what to do but I'm just passing along some advice to you
Tim I see you like to have fun on whatever you do, your like a kid in a candy store you have me laughing all the time 😂. You would make a good comedian.
Tim...just wanted to say thank you. Both you and Braxton put a lot of pride and effort into making these vlogs for us. Man I swear if yall quit making videos...I'll have a fit like a two year old lol. Been subscribed to your channel for quite awhile now...and I sincerely learn something new from almost every upload. ...Braxton...if you see this buddy, keep up the hard work and learn everything you can ! You're a very smart young man ! ...maybe you could ask good ole dad to find you a log splitter and start splitting & stacking cords of wood and sell them like hot cakes. That's a good little money maker ! Best wishes to y'all !!!
Hey Tim and brax happy to see y’all working together and on that job use the dump truck to and you can move 3 times the dirt and burn less fuel and less wear on them tracks those 963 cats run for ever if you take care of them love you guys stay safe tell your family I said hi
Those track pads are called grouser pads the correct term, as are all steel , not plastic or rubber inserts . Track needs to be tighter . Little crawler track sprockets need attention .keep track links tighter so not to skip or jump links . U asked i’m A tellin ya what I see n hear . Damn near need a short frame rig to negotiate back woods trails or roads . Thanks for ride along . I used to run 17 mile hill and Ashfork hill to Flagstaff . Went down hill in same gear I climbed it in with with NTC 350 and 18 speed quadraplex trans ,, 4:11 live twin screw tandems in 66 MACK . In the 70s heavy transport , over everything ,, width ,height, weight , length, everydamn thing that requires permits even explosives
Hey Tim anytime I move a small crane like that I put the stabilizer on the crane down because any rubber tire machine is hard to get tightwhen you chain up great score for you and your buisness stay safe big guy !
When I was a kid my Gramps had a D-9,D-6and a little D-4 , also a mini grader,he used to maintain his own logging roads , he had a real affection for 1960s w-924s lws like 15 of ‘em
I am so proud of you you had to work so hard for what you have and you have done it all for your family I could not done what you have done your son is amazing he was blessed to have a father like you Arkansas we love you
Tim I used to carry two Steel blocks I would put under the place were the tailor hocks up that would give me up to 3 inch more clearance for rail road and graded place like road intersections
You need to turn the track round on the small case dozer, as they are on the wrong way round. The tracks on the Cat Loader need tightening up slightly.
Tim Braxton's enthusiasm is on a different level, and that's really good to see. He's going to be a valuable member of your company, well let's just be honest about it he already is! People just need to mind their own business, especially when it comes to another man's son. Tim I wasn't going to say anything about this, but I feel like I should because it is the Cristian thing to do. That vaping is just as bad on your body as smoking, unfortunately I found out the hard way. My health is really messed up from smoking for such a long time, and then changing over to Vaping for the last two years. I thought I would be fine as long as I didn't smoke regular cigarettes, but that's just not the case. I won't go into detail about what is going on, but if you want to keep on doing those otr trips you might want to reconsider using one of those things. I can't even climb up into my international cab over, without me hurting so much that I can't hardly get back out. This spreads into your bones, and the pain really never goes away. I thought it could never happen to me, and that I was just having pains from getting older but down deep inside I knew it was something worse. Everybody listen to your body, and it will tell you when something is really not working like it should. Get you a primary care doctor, so that they can find this type of thing that I got soon enough to treat it. God bless Everyone and good luck to you all.
It’s damaging his organs now! His body trying to develop and grow being that overweight at 10 years old, poor kid can’t even run. His knees already hurt so damage is already happening. It sad they let the poor kid be that heavy.
An idea just came to me about your flat deck and having to put blocks under the hitch part Adding side air rams that push the deck up when your bout to uncouple the deck will hold the deck plate up on back of truck so that way you wont have to block it with wood and it can be attached to existing air pumps on truck Weld under the deck the plates needed to push down on back of truck to lift plate Couple open and close valves And once the deck is secure back to rest of trailer you retract the rams Best and closest think to a hydraulic system Simple to install and simple to use
This channel is one of the best channels there is Braxton is a beast I think you give him other 4 years and he will out drive most truck drivers there is out there and he will do it safe knowing everything he does he will show all you he knows what he is doing 10x more then most stay safe out there love seeing Brax work on the trucks and then drive them with ease
The brain is a information absorbing sponge! The younger you learn the useful information and skills the better!! As you age it is dirty with non useful information damaged by alcohol or drugs prescription or otherwise!! Young minds learn best shame public state schools brain wash and dumb us down! Learned so much more on the tools fixing old Leyland Constructor trucks light commercials like Transits LDV and cars as a kid in the 90's! I learned a lot more than I ever did at school! Set me up for making a decent living until I had bad accident! So good too see a father teaching his son his trade from a early age as it will set him up too live a good life with a good living too be made from it!
One hell of a old truck that FLD! Very good shape for a oldie! That CAT Dozer looks a cracking old machine too sure both will serve you well! There no school like the old school!
Tim it was good to meet ya. Sure didn't think it would be way up here lol. Don't take me rude for being quick...I didn't wanna bother ya'll. The cabover is beautiful in person
Man, even my nerves were rattled as you were pulling that full load. I’m not surprised you were tired to the bone after that. I can’t imagine having that little dozer on the back wheels was helping the situation.! But a heck of a job Tim and Brax.. I don’t think there will be anything you won’t be able to tackle once Brax has his CLD.. Experience mixed with the fearless young. Heck of a team. 🇺🇸🦅🇮🇪🚛💨
You could've used the float trailer it's dump truck and put dozer on that to unload similar to how you unloaded Westen's ranger. I liked Brax enjoying the dirt pile like any other 10yr old would
If u get in trouble in situations like that when 2 low over extended your leveling valve over inflate suspension get right over ur. Or put some 1inch plates temporarily on deck under goose neck will pick deck up considerably
This is for Braxton I just wanna tell you that you remind me of me when I was your age working with your dad he’s a good man cherish these moments I been in the trucking industry all my life since I was a baby now I’m 51 yrs old and just lost my dad Aug 23 and I sure do miss him so help your dad love your parents and be a good boy God Bless
U an Brax together are a dynamic dual 💪🏾💪🏾 I love that machine the first one i learned to operate was a 943 with a 4 an 1. Smaller as u know but that joker push up hell
Tim, now you need to get a block I would say a 20-ton block If you have a 2 sheave you can get a 2-sheave block that will give you a 4 per if you secure it on the boom tip But you can also secure it on the block then you will have a 3 per. with the size of that crane a 2-sheave block is all you need. I work for a crane rental barn, when we haul our RT cranes we use a four axle lowboy. Even the small 40 ton cranes weigh like 65k with the counterweight on.
When moving your crane put your outriggers down on the deck of your truck and then tighten your change this will cause you not to have the balance of your rubber
Well, all the years I did heavy equipment, I have to admit that's the first time I've seen someone use a Track Loader to cut grade. Opps, starting to get into it to much. Good luck with the job y'all. Looks like you've got your work cut out for you. Please don't take what I said as negative. I'm an old Equipment Operator / Foreman / Supervisor that did everything from Clearing to Pipe and Earthwork to Pond Remediation to River and Stream and Coastal Recover and Oxygenation. If you can do it with a piece of Heavy Equipment, I've done it or gave 'er he double L trying. I miss it every day. God Bless and good fortune.
Yeah no sense weighing the loads. As can not permit two pieces over weight. So why run beacon light? Must be related to local law? No you don't need to hit rgn hard to pick it up. But hey your transmission. If you lock power divider, lay your 4x4 blocks down on frame, dump your air back under neck as get under put air back to truck. Do it enough you learn. But really tired of you saying how safe you all are and then go about breaking laws. I understand you young and still learning. You all take care not to get hurt or hurt anyone.
I’m glad someone else noticed that. Tim try’s to convey that he possesses a lot more knowledge than he really does. Take for instance the 4 5/16th inch chains on a machine like that. I lost track of the violations but, if I say more I will be labeled a “hater” when I’m reality I just believe in doing a job right and legal.
Well Stu, I know you are right, I’ve been trucking 48 years, the last 25 in heavy haul. These people are making money putting their stupidity on display. I don’t get it. The biggest I’ve done is 9 axle, one of my best friends is on 12, I asked him if he wanted to make a video showing things done the RIGHT way. He says NO !! He said he’s not a teacher!! Be safe!!

Yeah, I'm no hater but side loading a fair sized machine like that and putting all that stress on the truck and trailer suspension wasn't great 🤣
Tim I see you like to have fun on whatever you do, your like a kid in a candy store you have me laughing all the time 😂. You would make a good comedian.
I love how u spend trucking with yr son I am soooo happy with Bry not doing his phone all the way to ur destinations

The grease gun attachment Brax is talking about is called a lubelocker. I have one on my milwaukee grease and love it.
No matter what he does/can do, Brax is still a 10 year old boy. No pile of dirt is safe!!
