Lol did you read the comics ? Tactile telekinesis was his first ability but later on he started developing the ordinsry Kryptonian abilities while keeping his tactile telekinesis. We see the future version of kon El in comics and that version became stronger than superman because not only did he develop Kryptonian abilities he kept his tactile telekinesis and gained other abilities that an ordinary Kryptonian didn't have. He was also immune to magic and kryptonite because his tactile telekinesis provided an extra layer of protection above his skin that is invisible.
Not you hating on the tactile telekinesis 😭😭😭 as a fan of the 1994 superboy, I will say him having all of the powers from jump fits this universes version best.
Also it's weird, but this version of Connor reminds me of Wilbur from Meet The Robinsons. And I love the way he says "I feel like I can talk to you" to Lois.

I know the whole idea of the timeskips in the show was "Well, we already see all these things happen in other stuff, so let's just focus on our original ideas" but the fact we never really got to see that version of Conner bond with the Kents at all will never not be disappointing. I mean, we don't even get scene where they care about Conner until after they think he's dead. As great as that scene was, I would've loved to have seen all the build up to that and to see more of their relationship. Like, we don't even see Conner and Lois interact once, come on.
