Paolo! Here in Sacramento, California I love your videos! I am a huge Japan Enthusiast who would love to visit, but at 70 I am the world's oldest otaku, as well as being disabled, i know I won't get there in this lifetime. But your videos are wonderful, and your happy enthusiasm and obvious joy in what you do is like having a personalized tour. Sure wish I could have a taste of some of that food, though. Thank you very much for this!
Hey Greg. I'm from Sacramento too and living in Japan right now. Let me tell you that you should come to Tokyo and live out your dream! It's very disabled-friendly unlike many areas in Sacramento. More than happy to help you out if you do decide to come here. It's worth the trip.
I really love how Paolo considers walking outside for like 20 seconds off the rainy day list. Like I don't think anyone would actually care but it just shows how much he cares about providing a quality list.
Hi Paolo, I'm in Shinjuku and it's raining today. Watched this video as I plan for the day, my disappoinment disappeared after watching your video. Thank you so much!!
My guy...spending two weeks here in Japan and I planned my entire trip based on your videos alone!! Best time I’ve ever had in my life! It’s currently raining so We’re headed to sunshine city! You’re the man Paolo! Thank you!
I just returned from Tokyo back to Finland yesterday. Rain or not, such a mesmerising city. Anyone, if you are thinking whether Tokyo is worth the long flight, money and effort, trust me, it is. Japan is a unique experience for any traveller. Arigato gozaimasu Nihon! Matane Tokyo!
No Name - No perkele! Mene ihmeessä! Just remember to plan beforehand what things are a must for you - the time will run out anyway, so start with the most important stuff👍🏻
Wow! I'm blown away by all the organized information presented in such a relatable way. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I'm definitely going to visit a few of these places when I visit Tokyo.
Miss this kind of vlogs Paolo. They’re well thought off. Unique and informative, even years and years later. The drawings are so good! Wish you would update these videos for post pandemic. Hope to run into you, Maiko and Wolfe this spring! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
When I went to Tokyo I was amazed at the extensiveness of underground shopping, restaurants, etc. Made me realize just how much wasted space is in US cities.
Im really suprised how cool japan is, I mean in USA they dont have stores underground near their subway areas.. it would be awsome if some builders of japan would come to NYC and build things like japan.. It just makes sense!! Great Job!!
In the United States or at least in the city where I live, buying online has pretty much caused most malls to close down. Department stores closed 50 years ago because of the malls. Yet in Japan department stores and malls still seem to flourish.
I'm feeling old. A blast from the past is in the 80's, no how about a store from the 60's and 70's! I love all of these videos! I live in sunny southern California where the temps. can reach 100 or more. That rain looks refreshing!
Best Japan videos. Thanks so much, really appreciate your hard work 😊 I love how you show different places to go not just the ones you see on every blog!
This is one of my favorite Paolo videos! So much very helpful information, and I love Paolo's enthusiasm, energy and personality. The graphics done by Paolo's fiance are terrific and add a lot to Paolo's videos. Nicely done! Thanks Paolo!
My.mind is literally blown. Coming from a small town in ohio I've never even seen a subway or ride a bus. My dream is to go to Japan and experience the city and culture and your videos make me want to go even more!
That is some serious underground infrastructure. Only thing missing was a bed and you would never have to go outside again! And, did you say that's where you leave the kids' asses at? I lost my mind, laughed so long! Loved the visuals, editing, camera work, and narration.
This must have been hard to do! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to provide us with great videos about Japan. I feel like I'm there with you and I miss Japan so much!!! P.S. Love how you ended with Shibuya. You just went home after haha :D
This is super helpful. We have two more days in Tokyo and it started raining yesterday (until the weekend) and this will really come in handy. Thanks so much!
Wow, marathon of walkways through subway stations, train stations, shopping malls of Tokyo!! So much information!! I can feel your tiredness just by watching you go to all these places in one day! It's been a hard day's night... makes me think of this song. haha.
Another AWESOME video Paolo!!! I'd like to see Maiko do a video - she's so lovely and it would be good to get an insight of the stores that she shops at and any tips for the best places for clothing, beauty etc. I love your lil maps too - super super cool!! Keep on doing these videos - they are the best!!!!
Stuck in Iriya on a rainy Monday (for those who don't know many government buildings, and attractions are closed on Monday in Japan), and Paolo is showing me how to spend the day. Thanks, man!
your videos are so amazing so much better than any others i have found I'm going to tokyo for my 2nd time and these have really helped me thank you so much, very appreciative!
This is incredible! Beyond amazing!! I give this video 100 out of 10!!!!! I can't say enough good things about it. A lot of hard work put into this. I could watch it over and over again.
I leave for Japan next week and it will be raining the whole time I'm there so this video is super helpful. Nice to know there are places to wander and see cool stuff w/o battling wind, rain, and a sea of umbrellas.
Yeeeeeeehhhaaaassss ikebukuro was my most favorite spot in my 3 month backpacking trip! I love sunshine city and otome road & one of the best coolest cyber cafes Manboo! I literally lived there almost a month exploring tokyo! Costs 11$ for 8hours, its 24hrs open all the time, and free milk tea or coffee or soda or any nonalcoholic drink free for your 8hours stay, i had a cubic and it was all beanbag material with a beanbag for a pillow and your computer all set up in there! Plus japanese and english manga everywhere! Better than a hotel.!
Big thumbs up on a great concept for a video, an aquarium, museum, an Onsen, a Hotel and food everywhere. I don't mind the rain. But, this is the way to go to stay dry!
You are the best! We are currently in Tokyo and already used many of your suggestions from your other videos. Today is raining with thunderstorms, so this video is awesome for planning our day. We appreciate your hardworking and insights! ありがとうございました
This was such a great video! You put so much work into it and did so much in such a short period of time. Your channel is a huge help w/ planning my first trip to Japan. Thanks Paolo!
You're the man Paolo!! My partner and I have watched ALOT of your vids as we will be travelling to Japan in Feb! Thanks for the great content and tips/advice. :)
Getting all this cool information is way better when a local tells instead of what only informant videos told by foreigners.....I adore all your videos.."-"..
I found Yodobashi at Akihabara incredibly busy. I stayed in a hotel 3 minutes walk from Akasakamitsuke Station and it had a Bic Camera directly opposite. It was much quieter and in my opinion more of a sensory overload as all the electronics are compacted together over seven floors. I had a much better shopping experience here as it wasn't very busy and the staff there gave me personalised time and attention, considering I only speak a few words of Japaense. They helped me in purchasing a Panasonic washlet. They even wrapped it for me and stuck on a plastic handle so I could carry it like a suitcase back to the hotel. Considering the hotel was a 3 minute walk from there it was a perfect place to shop in comprarison to Yodobashi. I also went back and got a Neo Geo mini and some casio watches the next day. Highly recommended.
In the beginning when Paolo had a sweet snack it looked like milk tart which is very well known dessert in South Africa , and I was fascinated by how many sweeties snack shops there are , but I love ♥️🇯🇵 the see through umbrellas everyone uses to get cover from walking in the rain and how many people walk in Tokyo rain 🌧️🇯🇵👏 there seems to be so much equality in Japanese work place as everyone is treating everyone with respect and sticking to a fantastic modern yet traditional way of routine in the work place 🇯🇵 in Tokyo-! 🙂I think it is well thought out how the Japanese treat each other , even though it seems introvert ,I thinking it is part of :" mind your own business because I not snooping in you" without being rude in context-? Love your videos Paolo , you are truly a happy resident in Tokyo , and I hope you stay that way 🙂👏
Not sure if you're on friendly terms with abroad in Japan but you and his videos are so great I absolutely love being able to see the country without actually being able to go
Coming to Japan, mainly Tokyo this Summer. Your videos have so much information and are so fun! I get more excited for my trip each time I watch one! Thank you!
Maybe you can help me suggest which is the cheapest way to go to mount fuji fr narita airport , because i wanna stay in fuji for a day and go back to tokyo for surrounding Paolo fromTOKYO .. thank you for ur help ^^
Great video! Reminds me a lot of how you can stay dry in Yokohama at the Landmark Tower and the connected shopping as well as being connected to the trains that run to and from the Yokohama station and all of it's underground shopping too. Love Japan!
Another great vid Paolo...thanks so much for your work. And I love how you always keep things positive and family friendly...I show all your vids to my 7 year old niece, so she can have travel dreams of her own.
Great video! Really enjoyed the time lapse of you taking us through the different locations considering that it’s easy to get lost as a tourist. Thank youuu
Your videos make me smile. Thank you, good sir! :) It's also getting me pumped up for my fifth time to Japan in a couple of weeks. Because I kept banging on about it to family over the last few years, this time my mother is coming for a week to experience for herself what my hype is about! :D
Loved this guide - especailly the drawings - these just nailed it giving a wonderful and unique profile of your destinations! Thanks for sharing these great rainy day suggestions and routes. Please keep sharing. Hello from London : - )
I just keep adding every new video to my saved list for my trip to japan next year. Your videos are not only very informative but fun to watch and a little cheeky too. Keep up the good work.

i can totally relate with the "people depending on my income", i want to be free but i have them
Im crying with this comment 😭 is never too late, I trully wish you get the opportunity of visiting Japan

NICE!!! I'll be in Shinjuku for summer Olympics! I'll remember this video if it rains!👍🏽💕

I mean... I do that every single day in London, never have any trouble...

When I went to Tokyo I was amazed at the extensiveness of underground shopping, restaurants, etc. Made me realize just how much wasted space is in US cities.
You should see the UK, sadly most open spaces are used for houses
Yeah because of how "small" Japan is, they got good at saving spaces and using them efficiently.
I love how this guy is always so excited.

Amazing. I have lived in Shanghai the past 10 years and can say that Tokyo has 10x more things to do and places to go.
Shanghai has places only if you have the wallet for it, while Tokyo has way more accessible places that are cheap or free and still fun!
