Which Bait Is Going To Catch The Most Catfish?

- I took my new kayak up to the Santee Cooper to try and get on some big catfish on light tackle. I used both fresh shrimp and herring and I set out to see which bait would catch the most and the biggest catfish! There was a clear favorite so tune in to find out which bait these giant slimy fish preferred!

It's been a looong time since you posted a video. Great to see you back.
Hey Keith! I've actually been posting about once a month or so, it seems like YT just hasn't been showing them to people as often... but I'm glad you enjoyed this one!
Glad you're back! Great FISH!!
Sorry to see you lose the rod but you had an AWESOME morning other than that. Glad to see you back in action.
Sorry about the rod man. That is tough. Great video and REALLY nice fish!
Hiya Christian!! Yep we both know that the Santee Cooper is the place to go for good size cats! My twin sister and I both caught our PBS there. Captain Joe took us out!! Sorry about your Toadfish rod😒 You done great, I could not have landed the catfish with the lighter rods, way to much work! Keep having fun my freind!!😁👍
Just started tonight watching your videos and love all your videos great job
Awesome video, love your videos
Sorry about the rod, good to see ya.
Great content. I've lost a rod like that before and it still hurts to think about. I lash everything down now, so if something falls, it's not going too far.
First time watcher! I haven't added any rod holders to my kayak yet because I was trying to figure out the most sturdy way without access to inside the hull. It also seems that riveting isn't an option for mounts like Justin on Kayak Catfish uses or riveting gear tracks? I'm guessing standard tracks and mounts with loose drags may be my easiest option for now.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I think the sturdiest option would require inside the hull access so you could mount a steel plate or something inside then rivets to secure. But yeah standard tracks + loose drags (looser than I used clearly haha) + maybe consider rod leashes as an emergency backup. It's a lot of fun when you realize you got a bite because the kayak starts spinning around!
Nice.
Wow Christian! That looked like fun. My son and I need to get out there and try some kayak catfishing. Can you share that location or at least advise on the boat launch? Thanks for the awesome video
looks like Hill's Landing in Cross SC
@@randypittillo7272 thanks
Maybe you should fish with one rod
Oh, I see you’ve got some kind of rod there-are we talking about a vintage, handcrafted marvel or just another run-of-the-mill stick with a string? I’m dying to know: what kind of glorified stick do you fancy for your fishing exploits?
upon further viewing of your documented expedition, it appears your tool has been lost to the depths of Poseidon. My deepest condolences.
You're a menace
