      @johnryan 8859. Let’s look at that coming comparison by green energy shall we. O yes turbines Let’s compare the not so green elements mined from raw earth right out of the ground to cater for batteries magnets frame and blades of turbines solar and battery components. Neodymium mined in china. Boron Praseodymium Dysprosium Bisphenol A cobalt and lithium. Then steel copper fibreglass and not forgetting Balsa wood from the Amazon Forrest’s for the turbine blades. Put that altogether with thousands of tonnes of cement by fossil fuel trucks and machinery ripping up pristine Forrest’s such as Chalumbin and lotus creek where native koalas and Greater glider populations are devistated And that besides the ocean echo and whale and sea life devastation and you have green energy come to the rescue to save the planet by destroying it. Such hypocrisy isn’t it.

    • @williamwallace5683
      @williamwallace5683 5 месяцев назад +1

      Those Forrest’s are but two in North Queensland Forrest’s Australia by the way and more devastating for our native wildlife like koalas and Greater Glider devistate loosing their habitates and any more of these things will put make these animals near extinct.

    This method of generating electricity is the least cost-effective way imaginable. When the UK announced a tender for wind license operators, they got NOBODY!!!! Why? Nobody want to lose money.

      That was about onshore turbine licences.

    • @oddvardmyrnes9040
      @oddvardmyrnes9040 8 месяцев назад

      @@akyhne .. I stand corrected. But why would it be different with offshore wind? Cost for installation & maintenance is even higher. Blades are trashed by water particles in the air, hail, snow & rain. Towers swing & heave with the swells, and everything is a mess as I understand it. Swapping mechanical components is whether dependent. Downtime is unpredictable. Am I wrong?

    • @akyhne
      @akyhne 8 месяцев назад

      @@oddvardmyrnes9040 The larger turbine you build, the smaller the cost per KWh. Although wind turbines on water are in general more expensive, in 1:1 cost.

    The up front co-2 carbon produced in the mining, making the material, transporting installing and start-up with the build will never regain or use up its carbon in the life of the wind mill. All they do is hide the math for someone to get rich on a expensive generator over salt water.

      And burning fossil fuels are better? The components used in a wind farm can be recycled, try doing that with coal, gas and oil.

    • @trixxdy4782
      @trixxdy4782 9 месяцев назад

      Lol, just like elon being green with all his tesla bateries and his rockets burning fossel fuels to launch. But dont question as the sheep will attach you.
      Solar panels aint recycled nor the multi composited wind farms made of rare metals and fiberglass.
      Thats without all the carbon footprints to go green.
      I see a world where fossil fueld electricity is supported by green.
      But anyone that believes that only green should be used. Should have all their power from green same with electric cars. If you fully support and preach their use then only charge them with green energy.
