Over the years I keep coming back to this rendition of the song. While I absolutely love the way the original song sounds like, your arrangement touches me in a way the other song never did! Your rendition is softer and a little more drawn out, and there's something more serene about it. I can close my eyes and listen to this over and over again while in bed, or while marvelling at a great expanse before me, and feel both humbled and at peace. Thanks for your brilliance! Because after the movie was over, I came home to find "Reduction" only to find this.
Wow, 9 years later and it still seems like people come back to listen to this. My younger self would be so chuffed. I guess when I find the time, I might even do a better updated one. Idk, I haven't done music in a long time.
I don't know if you're still on this channel, but I just wanted to thank you for posting this. I can't find it elsewhere and it's a piece that really touches my heart.
@@chaliosx1282 it was hard to find this one AND the one where he’s walking through the desert all sad but I finally figured it out after like three years haha
Please, I've looked everywhere and I can't find it. I even went to Hans zimmers music sheet website and its not there. I really want to learn how to play this beautiful piece of music. Can anyone help?
Hello, i know it's been 9 years, but here goes nothing. I haven't been able to find any of the 2 videos you have linked in the description, but that's ok, this one suffices. My question is if you have any sheet music for this piece, i want to make my own version to maybe play for my dnd group, or just because this piece is so damn beautiful. Chances are you won't see this comment, but just in case, i would love if you could send me what you came up with...
Hey bud! It's always crazy to see people comment on this video so many years after a tiny teenage me decided to pop this on (my now dead) RUclips . I'm so sorry I'm afraid I can't help you with this (as much as I want to help, especially for a fellow dnd player!), I worked it all out by ear and the midi/Logic file has sort of disappeared somewhere over time. It's a very simple piece so it wasn't very difficult to figure out if that gives you some encouragement. I'm glad you managed to find the original though, I also look for it sometimes and it's super difficult to find.
@@youresorobotic I got a pretty accurate midi down! I can send it to you if you wanna! And yeah it was great finding the original, but I actually like this one more, which is why I wanted to know about this one XD. Do you still have any idea of how you made the ambient patches in the background? And yeah, dnd is just such a beautiful way to connect people. What character are you playing rn?
@@SloppyMcFloppy1029 Gosh; trying to remember what I did 9-10 years ago, the only thing I can think of is either it would have been a part of my instrument library; most likely East West's 'Goliath' which has some pretty cool synths in OR I used to like to reverse and sample strings a lot and play them low which made some great sounds. I play a few games, mostly different systems to dnd (cyberpunk, pathfinder etc) but if we're talking dnd classes I guess the closest one is like a rouge/monk hybrid kinda class? Its a 'stalker' in Pathfinder!
@@chiaraftog I'll check it out. I'm trying to learn about making little ambient patches like that, but it's not as easy as I thought... But that seems like an interesting idea. Also I haven't played pathfinder yet, but that seems pretty cool!
@@SloppyMcFloppy1029 I also realised I replied with a different account. This is still me!! Yeah I fully recommend just playing around with ambient stuff. Sampling can be just fun. Take some sounds/music/whatever and play them super low in a sampler, you get some amazing sounds.
And this movie honestly was so damn amazing

this song makes me think of what life is...
This song simply... brings me peace, and you don't know how much I appreciate that
"Vemos lo que necesitamos ver..., hermoso no lo crees?"
"Si, lo es..."
"No man can walk out on his own story".
The Spirit of the West.
So you made it, amigo.
That line makes me tear up every time.
Just reading your comment made me cry a little.
it's beautiful, isn't it? ;)
@Gipsy Danger no man can walk out on his own story.
"We each see what we need to see. Beautiful isn't it?"
“Yeah. It is.”
I literally just watched rango and looked for this exact type of video. you and I think alike

Well now this is the only good version I can find, so thank you so much
I come back every few months to this song and just think.
Thank you, you've provided thoughts for thousands.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm definitely going to need to do an updated version of this.
