- The moment I've been waiting for has finally arrived, the Ecoflow Delta Pro has been delivered and in the video I will go through my initial unboxing, setup, and first use. One step closer to a fully off grid cooling system for summer.
can't wait to get my EcoFlow. I plan on running a portable Midea Duo portable AC for emergency use (Fl resident) with EcoFlow
@21:15 Correct. I would wait until you charge it up full the first time before connecting any load to your unit. If your battery is 100 % full, then it should simply pass wall AC current to the front plugs, unless you either disconnect your AC wall plug or there is a power failure, then it should pull from your internal batteries. Of course any EcoFlow power station can be used in pass through charging mode.
That is one hell of a power station you got there. I like it.
It’s an incredible machine, I spent months trying to decide to pull the trigger on it and so far it’s absolutely exceeded my expectations. I’m running full off grid air conditioner off of only 2 panels and still charging the battery. Just the battery alone I can run the ac for about 10 hours. Now that the panels are here, PERPETUAL A/C!!!
So happy with the performance of my river pro. Highly recommended.
Pretty sweet unboxing video. I am drooling over that Delta Pro.
it's a freakin BEAST for sure!!
I have a delta pro, it's great.
@@sueheck2968 Mine's working great for my coffee-maker too!
Looks like the Delta Pro did not have any problems powering that unit.
Not a bit
I have 2 midea inverter air conditioners to install this weekend for exactly the same reasons as yours. One of our pups is extremely heat sensitive and has problems in temps over 70 degrees so we need a backup air conditioning option that can be run off a generator in the case of power outages. Only came across your channel because of the midea video. Also will be purchasing an ecoflow delta as part of my plan. Going a little heavier on the backup strategy longer term with a larger generator and transfer switch but the delta will be for more sensitive equipment in my case. Even without the solar, the midea should supplement my HVAC system and cost less.
Funny how people always forget you can take the box off the product instead of trying to remove the product from the box. Just cut the bottom tape pull the fins out probably pull 1 fin off and then sit upright and lift the box. Your back will thank you.
The excitement was real, logic went straight out the window lol
Yeah okay but you kinda need the box in case you need to return the delta pro. You’ll see it written on the box. So just get someone to help you lift it out
Thanks for the great video!!
That’s a nice unit. , all you need is solar panels to be off the grid.
I’ve got 2 320 watt panels, waiting on them to come back in stock to get 2 more! ruclips.net/video/lnKUa2YyWyw/видео.html
I think I can plug in anything I want with the Delta Pro.
Pretty much!
It's a beast.
That is a pretty cool app for the Delta Pro.
@@Anthony-rc6yo it’s very intuitive. You can set you ac charging parameters from 200-1800 watts at 100watt intervals, as well as charge and discharge levels for optimal battery conditions as well as turn on/off your ac output and dc output independently. We had a tornado watch yesterday afternoon and some severe storms. I was able to increase the ac charging from the app remotely to have my battery fully charged within an hour and a half by the time the storm arrived and that’s was after running the air conditioner all day and getting very little solar input due to the weather. Luckily we never lost power but I felt pretty bad to be as excited as I was for a significant storm to be coming through lol.
He Sounds Like Eugene off of the Walking Dead, lol
I’ve never watched the show but after a quick search it seems Eugene probably didn’t watch zombie shows either and does have a pretty sweet mullet. Thanks for watching!
Hello, thank you for this comprehensive review 🙂 I would like to ask though, have you maybe in mind an equivalent power station that is quieter, without any fans or fans that make less noise?
Not that I know of
Thank, helpful to me
Glad I could help, thanks for watching and for the feedback!
So with a 400w solar panel and a solar tracker, you can run this all day??
As long as the sun is out
Once the outside temps get into the 90’s it pulls about 800w so depending on your battery it can still power it for up to about 4 hours with the Ecoflow delta pro at 100%
How is that window unit working for you? I have a 2000sqft house and I need to replace the AC. I live in FL where the AC is used 9 to 10 months a year. So I'm trying to decide between a couple of these window units and a residential mini split system.
It’s been great, once the temps get above the low 90’s in high humidity it begins to pull around 800w but most of the time it’s in the 300-500w range. I have a pretty open floor plan downstairs at my house , about 1800 sqft. It keeps the great room a cool 70 degrees while set on 67 but not the rest of the downstairs (about 73). keep in mind it’s an open room all the way to the ceiling of the second story but that is the main room we’re in. I do keep the central ac unit fan on circulate. It has exceeded my expectations and has been a great alternative to installing a permanent 110 mini split that still requires a little more installation, the only down side is it not have a heating function.
@@cullinthemost Thanks for the response. It really helps.
Great video…. Will this power a portable a/c unit ?
Yes, for how long is the real question and that just depends on the draw of the specific unit.
congratulations do you plan on getting the extra batteries? i have the river mini and river pro, my next on is the delta max.
Not initially but the the potential expandability was definitely a selling point. My goal is to run this air conditioner completely off solar but I am limited on panel options, my home is surrounded by large, mature hardwoods. I could do them on the roof but I don’t want to be on the roof nonstop keeping them clean. I have my fingers crossed that my 2 320 watt panels will capture enough energy to make it possible.
@@cullinthemost keep us updated I’m interested in how it dose with 640 what’s going in.
I am thinking I would buy a second one before buying the extra batteries… seems like more functionality?
@@djryan8944 Indeed. I'd go that route also.
what model of Ecoflow Delta are you working with?
Delta Pro
Which panels are you buying
I wound up getting 2 of the Renogy 320w panels. One of the biggest reason for those was that I was able to get just 2 panels shipped to my local Home Depot. Shipping costs were outrageous for most places online and many of them want you to order a pallet of panels. Here’s my first video of them ruclips.net/video/lnKUa2YyWyw/видео.html
Thanks
You’re welcome
@@cullinthemost Home Depot is a great option but hope you looked for local solar distributors first. We have a CED in town that has decent prices and will deliver to my house for $50. Obviously if you are out in country it is a different story.
@@djryan8944 yes I did find a few not too far away but ultimately I decided that driving a couple hours to look at panels I may or may not buy versus paying a little more (or a lot lol) for panels that I know I’m going to be happy with. If I was planning on buying more than 2 then I would have probably went that route. Thank you for the suggestion, there is definitely quite a bit to save buying modules that way and I may do that in the future if I expand my system.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ THE MANUAL TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET ON WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!! MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s an unboxing, I think reading the manual is important. Thanks for watching!!!!
@@cullinthemost When You Started Reading Manual I Left Video!! DID NOT WATCH MUCH!!!!
No worries, I understand everyone’s time is valuable, I just try to go through the things that would be important to me if I was considering purchasing one.
@@cullinthemost So Buy The Manual First!!!!!!!
Why do the lights flicker like that. I gues thats just solar in general huh
Yeah those things look incredible but you gotta Be damn near rich just to get one
Yes, the portable all in one aspect really drives the price up but not being permanent was the selling point for me.
@@cullinthemost Yeah that sounds incredible I just can’t find one that can power fridge for couple hundred dollars it’s more like a couple thousand
What’s the average pull of the fridge you’re using and how long are you planning on running it? Completely offgrid on solar or as a grid backup?
@@cullinthemost It’s a 220 line it’s for emergency use if I could obtain it a few times a year the power goes out last time it was out so long I lost all the ice it was colder outside the fridge then in
@@cullinthemost I’m hoping I can find something on Black Friday
Pretty bad. Perhaps you should have a better idea of what you bought. Although cleaning up your disaster of house might be a good idea.
Thanks Rog, maybe you’ll find happiness with another sourpuss one day! Best of luck!
