They worked out really well. At first they looked bad, but as you say, experiment, every painting goes through a Plug Ugly stage, then you leave it to dry and next day you get inspired to continue. The painting you did today looks like a wind-swept hill side in Scotland with all the purple Heather bushes. Lovely.
Beautifully Creatives painting New Effects of inking with meadimas so nice Textured interesting about the Leand Scape also Skyeffects wenderfully Vizlistion Of Deom painting.
Well, that was a great adventure in Jean L's Experimental Lab! I'm excited cuz I've got some Acrylic Inks and a few DS Geniune (Primatec) paints with which to mess around......AND a perfect excuse to experiment! With thanks (again) Jean!
Jean, such fearless and beautiful experimentation with such exciting inspiring results. Wish there were more videos. Do you ever or have you tried adding granulation medium directly to painter ink in pallet, then dropping it in to your support? Hope you are well in these challenging times Cheers
Very cool demo. @ 3:40 in the video after you added purple lake.. Looked like mount Rushmore with all the faces! I'm gonna do some playing now.. Ty for the inspiration! Onna
I love a good experiment. This one is great. I've just bought some W&N granulation medium today, so I'm going to have a go at some of this abstract mixing. Thank you for your inspiration.
At 4 minutes in it looks like a gorilla is melting into the background: the face on the left hand side, and as it progresses it looks like a lion with a purple main melting into the background hill, with it's tail sticking up on the right hand side. Love it!
Jean I do not have any acrylic ink but I have golden hiflow acrylic paint. I am going to give this a try. What brand of granulation medium did you use.
ive always wanted to paint like her. i was just concerned about the paints running off like that. it feels like im wasting paints. i know watercolor goes a long way but i think thats part of the reason why im afraid of loose paintings.
I prefer paint straight from the tube because you will get brighter color than wetting dried paint. However, if you leave water on the dried paint for a while you can get the same effect. I just don't have the patience.

Gthanks Jean 😊
Gracias!! todo lo que compartes es genial, y lo haces desde el corazón!! Super bonito!!
Beautiful granulation and color! I always enjoy your tutorials.
!!! Thank You !!!
Happy New Year!
I love this 🤗
Beautiful!!! Would the same granulation effect happen without the INK, and adding the granulation medium only to the watercolor paint?
The blue is a granulating paint so yes, it would granulate. You could also use another granulating paint instead of the ink too.
Thank you! 🙂
You are so inspiring. Thank you.

Thank Jean for sharing your experiment, that was fun to watch. Happy New Year to you and many blessings. 💜
These colours indeed work amazingly well together! A beautiful piece :)
Hello. Congratulations on your works, they are beautiful! Could I kindly know which card you use? Thank you
Jean!
Where have you gone?
Miss your videos!!!
Hi Julie. I've spent this year learning to paint in acrylics and doing collage. I will be back. Thanks for reaching out.
@@JeanLurssen that sounds like fun but I so enjoy your watercolour
Looking forward to see your new approach in mixed media
This is so great! I love how it turned out! :)
Jean I do not have any acrylic ink but I have golden hiflow acrylic paint. I am going to give this a try. What brand of granulation medium did you use.
Winsor & Newton granulation medium. It won't work the same with acrylic paint as it does with the inks.
@@JeanLurssen thank you for the information

What colors would you use to make a beach? Yellow ochre watercolor and burnt sienna acrylic oil?
What is the Granulation (?) medium, I’m not a painter? 🙏
do you typically work with wet paint straight from the tube? i put mytubes into half pans and i wonder if i can get the same effects as you do.

@@JeanLurssen thanks for your reply!
Very cool! Is the granulation medium toxic, and does it have an odor? I work in a small, not very well ventilated space, so I have to be careful.
Crystal it has no odor, it is clear liquid with no odor. I have no idea what it's made up of. Wish I did so I could make my own.
incroyable
Like your stijl very much would like to participate in a workshop if you give any
T
Thank you. I do teach online at watercolors.jeanlurssen.com if you are interested.
These colors are stunning together. I can't find any info about what is in the granulation medium. Does anyone know?
There is a link under the video to all the materials used. Click on show more or the down arrrow on you mobile device.
Amazing. Is your paper stretched in advance?
I never strerch my paper.
@@JeanLurssen thanks a lot for your answer 😃
Delicious...do you think it would work on a watercolour canvas.....?
I've never tried watercolor canvas. The only way you will find out is to try it.
VERY COOL
