Super MadNES is a live tribute to retro video games and traditional heavy metal music, creating riff-oriented guitar & synth arrangements to classic NES, SNES, and arcade game soundtracks.
gotta appreciate how faithful the drummer was. didn't take anything out, actually kept all the hihat stuff in there. tastefully added some sauce where it need it. 10/10 your effort has not gone unnoticed
Absolutely right. The drummer scaffolding this shit together perfectly
I'm so glad the drums weren't substituted by a drum machine. What a dope arrangement this is!
Black Mages drummer falls utterly short on this masterpiece. This guy gives it the proper treatment.
If you're a drummer watching this vid you're probably aware that just performing this song note-for-note with professional-level tone and control is extremely impressive. I came to this video specifically for this! I wish there was a drum cam version of this.
I don't care how much more epic you make this track sound, the battle doesn't stop until everybody draws 100 of everything.
Then you realize you can refine items into magic, and that you wasted hours drawing magic manually from enemies haha
@@meoantolin6955true! Only now you’re spending hours playing cards instead of drawing. Womp womp!
In ff8 you can turn anything into any other thing, most broken system in any ff.
FF8's soundtrack is so overshadowed by FF7 it's criminal. Force Your Way, The Landing, Man With the Machine Gun, Movin', Starting Up... All absolute fucking bangers.
I’m a huge FFVII fan, I love a lot about that game, including the music. It’s my favorite FF game. I also love FFVIII, & I think it’s an underrated gem. Even though FFVII is a better game than FFVIII for me, I personally think FFVIII has the best Final Fantasy Soundtrack, & I argue that FFVIII has one of the greatest video game soundtracks of all-time, it’s freaking godlike! 🤩
in terms of field map battle theme, its Those who fight from FF VII but if its boss theme, you gotta give it to Force your way from 8. And i hate the fact that I have to dance around once Man with a Machine gun plays during Laguna story mission battles. Cant help it
@@jettiful I agree the field battle theme is pretty meh. But I also think it being so mundane helps make you appreciate how awesome the boss battle/other music is.
Somewhat unrelated, butt Sea of Stars has since come out and is IMO in the same league as ff7/8 in Battle OST epic-ness
@@Lunarcheese72 yeah I agree with you, I guess Nobuo-san was trying to push the boss theme of FF8 hence the field map theme is mundane
@Lunarcheese72: Well, better soundtracks tend to overshadow worse soundtracks. It's not rocket science. Great things tend to grab a large proportion of attention but apparently FF VII isn't allowed to do so; only other games are allowed to do so when they are good enough. Although this boss theme is probably one of FF VIII's best tracks, and it has many cool parts, it seems like a lot of them were only put there because they sounded cool. That's not a bad reason to include something, but in the context of an RPG, it probably is not the best reason to include something. I simply don't get the same impression from the FF VII boss theme. There was more going on when making it than "this sounds cool." I'm sure that was part of it too, that you wanted something cool, but then you wanted to take the cool stuff and make it meaningful and cohesive.
If anything, the other parts of FF VIII were closer in quality to FF VII than the soundtrack overall. Literally 20+ tracks from FF VII sounded like they were good enough to be in the top three tracks of most other RPGs, and I think all of that _even considering_ how much competition there is in RPGs to have a strong soundtrack, and how many of them have a strong soundtrack. I was constantly thinking thoughts like "this track is just exceptional" and then remembering oh wait, this isn't even in my top 10 favorite FF VII tracks!
This might actually be the best arrangement of this song I've heard thus far. Fucking sick
Because it's the closest to the original ;)
This is a correct assessment. This is my favourite Final Fantasy boss music and you did it justice and then some.
@@lake4ishikawa it's better.
@@Lunarcheese72 Disagree.
you are righht
Epic
The Man with Machine Guns, make it please, maybe one day
This video deserves more views. Fantastic cover, FF8 is my favorite FF game.
this music is prepared for final famtasy VIII Remake and lead by Nobuo Uematsu
Nico has the unlocked Guardian Force Junction ability to play drums and guitar at the same time. 🤘🤘
カッコ良すぎやん!
This is how I’d imagine the FF8 remake boss theme would sound. Fucking amazing
1:33 when they montage all of them rapidly as the beat picks up. Unparalleled.
The whole quality is beyond copies in the past! I wish this video is known to Japanese people much more! カッコよすぎィ!
This is so damn savage it sent chills of nostalgia through me at one point during it
Isn't it absolutely amazing how you find totally different masterpieces like this every single day?
Now this is how I like a cover! Great job!!!
You know they did a good job when you imagine a big ass boss battle, fighting John wicked style.
This DESERVES a LOT MORE VIEWS! Best cover of the song!
This is the best rendition ever
This performance is amazing! From Japan❤
VERY underrated video. This should have at least 100x more views and likes

It's time to summon an Ifrit
this band is a force to be reckoned with and this cover is mad good!
I think I've just found my new Mental pump- up theme song. This makes me want to Junction up Diablos....as Selphie, and unleash literal H*ll! Thank you!
I love this track and you really made the best cover of it ever. It might have been a bit of a mistake to choose this particular piece for your biggest production video though. I like it a lot, but not many people are probably searching for Force your way or FF8 in general. Great job guys though, underappreciated video...
WHAT. How have i not seen this? Amazing job 10/10.
How can this be not over 1 million views
Hasn't even reached the hundred milestone, surprisingly enough.
This is criminally underrated!
the building up in the end. amazing 😍
Awesome. Great. Amazing. 🔥💣🔥💣❤
Haven't seen a drummer than can do crescendos like.. ever! Sick! Incredible performance from everybody! :D
i love this so much....
Let me preface by saying FF VIII is my favourite game if all time, over 20 years a fan now. Why am I only hearing this now? This is truly phenomenal work! I love how you stayed true to the original, keeping in all the elements. And that synth keyboard, sooooo glad that was kept in, so iconic, something often left out with musicians renditions of this song. Those keyboardists rocked those things. holy hell. This is effing incredible, I can't get over how amazingly this was done. This is utter perfection.
This has always been one of my favorite Boss tracks and you guys made it better. I'll debate anyone on that
Why aren't there more views or likes or subs??? This is one of the best covers of all time!!!
Oh lord!!!! Amazing!!!
I don't mind saying that I think this is the very best of any Final Fantasy cover out there. It is so refreshing to actually see a keyboard part being played, and not just one, but two! Anyone that knows a good bit about Nobuo Uematsu knows he is extremely influenced by progressive rock and metal, and so many cover musicians on youtube, though they are very, very good, mostly stick to guitar and bass and I often see a sad absence of keys. What an awesome change this is! This is glorious and fantastic, thank you, guys!
The best arrangement I've ever heard from one of the most amazing battle theme of all final fantasy games. Beautiful work!
TWO damn keytars?! Best band.
Double keytar action is always great. Killer take on Force Your Way!
That's mind blowing!!!! Loved it! ❤🔥
凄いっ😆何度も聴いてしまう✨
Great work. I can taste the sweat you've spilled playing this absolute banger! And it tastes like pure skill.

You guys literally brought my childhood fantasy to life! This is incredible: from the accuracy, tones and performance to the professional filming! Wooooow 🔥🖤
Just from the intro I knew this was going to be awesomeeeeeeeee! ❤️❤️❤️🫡🫡🫡
I believe Uematsu would be impressed! You guys nailed a faithful arrangement and added just enough passion to it, nothing unnecessary. Great work!
Bravo. This video and channel deserves so many more views and subs than it has. This was an insanely good cover.

So ridiculously awesome! All the sounds match so nicely and even the drummer is really honoring the original music.
