You’re one of the reasons I started to main Moira! People don’t seem to realize that a good Moira strikes a balance between attacking and healing. Like you said, it’s all situational.

I tried commenting on that short, but RUclips wouldn't let me. What I was gonna say was that there are so many mixed opinions on how support should be played it's just confusing AF at this point. Tanks and DPS want you to stop doing damage and just heal them. While other supports think you should stop healing and just become a 3rd DPS. So basically you're fucked either way??? Either you get flamed for trying to assist your team and heal them. Or you get flamed because people think supports shouldn't be healing at all??
Moira damaging constantly when there’s critical teammates right behind is so risky. Like yeah let the other healer heal but Moira damage is so slow to kill and it takes two seconds to heal everyone. For example, 17k damage with like 20 kills is not that impressive considering it’s basically just feeding the other healer ults lmao. It all depends at the end of the day.
i didn't see your other video but ya one of the main reasons moira is good for current patch is that her damage perfectly synergizes with the new %healing debuff, equating to the highest ttk reduction for any support (slightly skewed information taken from overbuff, but also its evident just analyzing matches). obviously all the other parts of her kit are good at dealing with the current flow of momentum, but if you're not actively thinking about what your dps are doing -> bouncing damage orb -> damaging the enemy tank -> pressuring supports -> whatever damage the situation calls for; you're missing the main part of why moira is good and just causing cytolysis. that being said.. watching this video it seems more like you're not really paying attention to the match, don't care, and you don't value bouncing orbs. you get like 30-40% of the orbs value every time you throw it, if not less, because you just can't be bothered to think about its trajectory i guess? just another streamer in my match with streamer takes i guess.. ..and its ironic to say something like "this is a little bit of a dps dif" while you're literally playing the hero designed around versatility to pressure the enemies weak points or enhance your own. "my tank is worse" -> heals tank more -> nothing happens -> does more damage to enemy tank -> nothing happens -> pressures enemy supports so that enemy tank can't play as aggressively into my tank = welcome to moira. "my dps are worse" -> pressures enemy dps so there is less pressure going out on my team so they can land more damage -> nothing happens -> helping my dps secure kills on the supports -> nothing happens -> healing my dps more so they're able to peak/take wider angles while i pressure the targets they're not hitting so the spread pressure overwhelms the enemy = welcome to moira... or you can just stand around throwing orbs into narnia, playing moira like a guide from 4yrs ago, wasting every col that you build at the same speed as FUCKING DVA BOMB BTW, and blame ur team consisting of 2 overperforming pugs, a t100 multi-season duo, and a streamer moira.
