- This ending cinema from the Final Fantasy VI re-release on Playstation features a number of the game's heroes (and one big villain) in scenes from the game and accompanied by poorly-translated text from the pre-final battle speech.
I love how faithful they were to Yoshitako Amano's art style
hell yes
If they ever make a remake for this, I hope they choose to continue to make the characters in this style. Very ethereal and old fantasy
@@FlowerEmblem I hope so too
nah it looks poopoo@@FlowerEmblem
man i really wish they would remake this, such a beautiful game.
You can’t remake something that is perfect
Square would add Time Ghosts, remove all death and make Kefka a misunderstood good guy because nothing is sacred and nobody knows what a remake is anymore.
@@RichterTheRatAnd they would completely fuck over the combat and make it an generic action automatic hybrid nobody asked for.
i guess they will never do it, given that they said it would took them 20 years to remake it (FF7 took 10 years, in comparison).
I really wish they'd release this song as a single without the game sfx. One of my favorite renditions of Celes theme.
Celes's theme! Beautiful, one of my favorites in the entire game
Beginning song is how Aeris Theme was created. Goddamn I love Nobou
Yup and here I thought I was the only one who noticed
exactly.
I always suspected..
Final Fantasy VI...great game and one of the best Final Fantasy games.
Yes, Sir!
The best FF.
@@EminAnimE1the Best final fantasy ever
1:19 if you pause at the right moment. You’ll see Relm
Dude, and is the conceptual art of yoshitaka amano, that's amazing
Holy shit, all this time I thought it was just a flash. Goddang man that added so much gravitas to the scene. After all this time there was still something new to see, thanks for pointing that out.
I love this but Celes looks so meek, I always imagine Celes as someone with a commanding presence. Celes and Terra look almost identical in these too...hrmm....
I thought so too. It's like they missed the point of Celes and her having to attempt to grasp this sort of feminine side, not it just "being there". You can only see Amano's art style, not the rest of the character.
They are melancholic too. This video show that face, but I agree. Between this one and the others, we never see any of them in a strong position. And they are very strong character.
Why do you think they gave terra green hair?.
@@steveburnside5395 hey you forget something. She is a General.
Celes is a character who lost everything, being meek makes sense.
Setzer's scenes are so epic and artistic. Look at 2:02 o_o
Love the art direction they choose for this fmv and Yoshitaka's design.
Seriously, you took the words right outta my mouth.
Took a few tries to pause the video right at Shadows flash only to see Relms avatar. I always have to do it whenever I see this video, it has become a must to confirm it's still there.
Interesting.
Dude, psycho eye!
I never knew that. Wha-oh, subtext alert!
Come on Square, where's the remake of your most critically acclaimed FF???
We can't wait anymore!
I just finished the PC Version came out in 2015 and it didn't have this cinematic
cant wait for shitty 3 party dungeons with 2 gimped groups that constantly die and lots of permanently missable content like trying to kill all enemies in the game
@@Aiviymatocsomeone’s salty that they didn’t grind enough.
as much as I enjoyed FF7 and was one of the reasons I got a PS1 back in the late 90's when I was finally making my own money as a teen, FF 6 is still my all time fave FF game. T'is the best FF game there is period. Sound. Story. Characters. And Kefka that maniacal clown actually succeeded in destroying the world. Nobu Uematsu is a legend!
Wow. I last heard this back around when it came out, and even though I think the voice is bad, I kind of really liked just.. doing the opera that way. A step beyond the original, but not actual opera, in that way it sounded somewhat like the jist the original song gives you, but with a real voice. I never played the PS release but I always thought these videos were really damn cool. One of the times where they put something into 3D and it actually has life and character, the sound effects were nice too. Thanks for the memories! (Some time ago I tried to re-find these videos and went nuts being unable to, like I had imagined they existed, ha!)
7 REMAKE is not even out yet, but I'm getting this bandwagon rolling anyway. Hey, Yoshinori-san, Nomura-san! If you guys can read this, you can get started planning that 6 REMAKE! My first FF and I was too young to really appreciate the depth of the magnificent storytelling. If any title deserves a full HD remaster on PS4 after FF7, it is definitely 6. Largest cast of playable characters of any FF, and several of them had a chance to take center stage. So many stories took place simultaneously and you got to play as different groups of the cast all over the world. It wasn't the one clear protagonist never leaving your party the entire game. 7 may be the most popular FF, but I say 6 is the best written story and deserves some love.
No
Really I always thought the words during the Final FMV were Kefka's dying thoughts to the party not a mistranslation of the pre-final battle speech? What a game one of my favourite games ever.
I can listen to this over and over just for the music!!! Even if there are other sounds being played... XD
the Narshe scenes (snowy ones with Terra on the Magitek) always hit me in the feels. it was so innocuous in the game, but it just hits hard seeing these boys fight for their homeland against killing machines they don't stand a chance against, with a killer piloting it, who otherwise is a very loving and caring person. she's mind-controlled, she has no expression as she puts them down. one is still alive after, but the machine keeps on going, crushing at least half his body.
the terrible cruelty of war: young men die in the most terrible deaths, the vast majority forgotten, left in parts on the battlefield, the defeat - most of them dead, the rest dying, both sides unyielding until enough blood has been finally shed. young men doing terrible things for the ones they love to other young men just like themselves. they have no say, only the duty to live long and violently enough until they must die themselves.
whatever team made this, struck deep. despite the aging graphics, video game music, it is timeless.
Dude, your analysis was deep. I hadn't looked at it that way before. It's so much more poignant and rich than I realized.
FF6 should be remade for every generation IMHO. its a brilliant game that i could pick up to this day and play on the SNES.
I dunno y but it feels like an angel singing in the beginning... Such an angelic voice...
When they do finally remake FF6, I hope they don't forget that it's a tragedy before all else.
It’ll be a monumental task, probably 10-20 years to fully develop. That’s not even an exaggeration. But yes being around for a final fantasy VI remade would be to gamers what music fans being alive for Woodstock was
The song is so beautiful
これ大好きです!ありがとうございます
i love every final fantasy because the emotion a game gives you its just so great the feeling and satisfaction a final fantasy game gives you is truly amazing its weird because u care about a character that doesn'd exist and its truly unique.
Celes is awesome.
Beautiful.
Why this song is so hard to find? It's the best version of Celes theme :(
I had been searching for years for this version without the sfx, to no avail sadly
@@khangle6872 Same here. I moved on, but I'm still sad :(
Not even my favorite Final Fantasy, but definitely the best.
they should made an anime from this please square pleaseeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
I love this game it was my first FF series i bought. I don't think it need any remake version because it's already good the way it was.
ugh it always bothered me that they made sabin already beefy at the coin flip scene...he was only like 17 at the time and hadn't received any training.
Sabin=Jotaro Kujo confirmed
In cannon he wasnt only 17, he was also the "squisher" of the 2 brothers... the old woman at imperial bedroom tells you that, he then goes to Duncam and become one of the strongest man alive :)
Roids free.
The scene in the FMV where Celes is in handcuffs is from the scene in the game where Celes is in handcuffs.
@Claire123802 It's a new arrangement of the Aria di Mezzo Caratterre. I don't think it actually appears on any soundtrack, but I could be wrong.
that song.
.da feels
Why does the chord reminds me of Aerith's theme.
2:05 GOOSEBUMPS.
2:05
I think this FMV shows that this game is truly deserving of a remake. I don't mean a pretty little port to the 3DS with some new graphics. I mean a full blown 3D remake. It's sad though that Final Fantasy VII (A game I like, but to a lesser extent) will get a remake before this one does... If it ever does.
Just Celes, she's in her Opera costume and then her normal outfit.
More like new alternate outfit
Wish I could find this song
A bit late but if you look up Aria di mezzo you can find this
@@shauncampbell9039 not this version. I've been looking for like 20 years for this version.
They will never remake this masterpiece i think, but they will make some new ova game as ffiv after year, that abomination... I actualy love this game even more than 7 a little bit, everybody has their own story with their decision and life, it keep them together, if you dig deep enough in the game. Damn, now the memory of FFIV after year leave the bad taste in my mouth
People say that Terra is the main character of FFVI, but I feel like her and Celes are equally as important... The fact that you can't fight Kefka without Celes but you can get to him without Terra says something. Her story is also heavily covered along with Terra's. If you wanted to make an argument as to who the main character is, I would argue Celes could be considered the main as opposed to Terra.
MuranoProjects I wouldn’t disagree. Act 2 of the story starts with her attempted suicide and point of view so yes.
FF6 has no main character. It was an ensemble cast according to Sakagucci.
They need to remake FF VI for sure
i'm gonna play this game starting 2018 and beat it to the end
yeah I already know its gonna be great!@
Love it and it makes me feel like the wind gracefully to the heaven. 😂
I want final fantasy 6 to be remaked with the latest story with the same story untouched.
The answer to why you build knowing destruction is inevitable is that the destruction is the fun part especially if you are using high grade explosives and smart munitions.
Playing the falcon airship theme song while driving got me to work really fast 😉
We need a PS5 remake of this.
Alexander destroyed kefka and his tower tower.I whish that he is that powerful when you summon him in game.
Many people don’t know this but these scenes are depictions of some of the events that occur in the game.
best FF ever
@orgixvi3
It's a pre-rendered video that is merely being played on the PS1. The PS1 itself has nowhere near as strong graphical capabilities to do this in real-time.
wait, narshe guards had guns?!
This needs a remake
It did. It was so bad.
Fox I don't want Square-Enix anywhere near this game. This is hallowed ground, as is VII. These games were a product of their time and should be left alone.
yeah I can empathize with your sentiment but I do wonder how this game would be as a remake, who knows maybe It'll create kind of memory for others
Fox No I get you. I just know it's going to rip my heart out whenever the FF7 remake gets released and they trample all over its legacy and story with action-based gameplay and cringe inducing voice acting.
One of the reasons I love the early FFs how the emphasis is on the story rather than the gameplay, and how you were able to project yourself onto the characters and interpret them in your own way. They were like interactive books with great music. Sorry to ramble, but these games mean a lot to me and seeing their reputation decline over the last several years is truly soul-crushing.
Why i never found the different between celes and terra on cut scene
0:23 wasn't that guard like dreaming of pancakes or something?
***** yeah Sweet childhood memories
square Y U NO SHOW LOCKE'S FACE O^O"
Koospa Because it would inflict Charm on those that see it.
Oh they were protecting us!
Koospa
Pretty much.
Probably because he looked too much like either Firion or Bartz lols.
@cavesofnarshe Actually it's celes' theme. The Aria di Mezzo Caratterre theme actually has lyrics, you just can't really understand them.
ff6 need remake..awesome story..
wtf ....the first 28 seconds
the music without opera sound literally is arranged aerith theme *_*
Dammit..........is true!!!
And after 34 years (and hours, and hours played) I discover this now!!
Hahahaha
between Kefka and Bahamut, Alexander is a beast when it comes to evil winged beasts
When will Square make FF6 with full 3D graphics? I have been waiting for another 20 years .
Please do a full remake of this game!
Am I the only one who still thinks that the PS1 had some remarkable graphics?
I hope after ff7 this will be there next remake
The music sound very similar to Areith theme
I wish they had the version of this song without the sfx
Esta canción me recuerda tanto a la que usaron después para el tema de Aerith/Aeris. Es que incluso algunas de las notas del piano suenan igual 💔😭
I kept hearing the ffvii theme.
Why hasn't this been remade? ._.
Michael Highwind say thanks to final fantasy X . X-2 .
+Calad Euka What FF X has to do with this?
***** i actualy changed my mind. ^^ when i wrote that thing well.. let's just say that i hated alot alo alot more ff x and ff xiii .
Calad Euka Ah,I understand
Well I was just curious ^^
Not everyone must like everything :)
Although I wish they would remake old series as well but on the other hand I don`t want Square to make any kind of remakes because they might destroy the original masterpiece v.v
***** Well i thinked that because of the big sells of FFX FFVIII and FFXIII they would never return at the "old" style. (which essentialy is basicaly instead of a story in a world is a world with a story, like FF7 (top 1 selling) and FF XII . then i started to realize that maybe is not about selling but about evolving. soo i grew less and less angry at those games
that's all. *sorry for my bad english
Throw 3 pieces of cards... Died instantly
mashans19 Actually that's Setzer's Desperation Attack (FF6 Version of Limit Break) and it actually causes Instant death.
wind the clock! wind the clock!
oh god please rewind the clock best story in existence ff6
CHUNG CHUNG CHUNG!!! MAGITEK ARMOR!!
Lotta elixirs!!!
This clock appears to be broken.
Everyone should stop saying they should remake FF6! FF6 is perfect as it is remaking it would just turn it into the cash cow beating dead horse FF7 is. Years late they made this new intro and ending for 5 and 6 and that's great, nothing else needs to be done
When it comes down to overall story progression and purpose, there are characters that are more involved than others (characters like Gogo, Umaru, Gau, Shadow, etc) do not play as big of a role in the plot. To say that there is not a main character is a bit of an understatement; however, there can be multiple characters that could be considered the main. I don't count the player character as the "main" character because a lot of the FF games allow you to walk around as the entire cast.
After Cloud found himself again he really didn’t change too much, fine he wasn’t as cocky as before but a the same time he wasn’t as emo and depressed in advent children,if you watch a cutscene in Dirge of Cerbreus, you’ll he is infact quite confident and wouldn’t surprise me if he was cocky.
There's much more cutscenes of Celes than Terra here, it's like she's the main character.
FF6 had no main character.
@@Dragonaum They all take the role as main characters so yes it does.
@Krizie That's because Celes is best girl! XD
Celes had a lot more development in my opinion. Terra was discovering what she was after losing her memories. Celes was a general who went against her Emperor and fell in love with a very complicated Locke. she thought she lost him after Kefka wrecked the world (end of the vid). she being a strong soldier type, rescued a couple of times got her in the feels. made her feel like a woman. Romance is a big thing in this line, at least in 4, 6, 7, 8, and Celes has the biggest romance (everyone else either didn't have a love interest or their wives were dead, such as Cyan losing his family in the attack on Doma), plus this is the Opera theme....
No Cyan doing Quadra-Slam, i felt cheated!
I think Terra and Celes share that spot. Duality is a very familiar concept in FFs and who better to be the opposite of Kefka than these two?
Really 10 felt like Yuna was the main character with Tidus trying to be and failing miserably at being the main character. Even though 6 didn't have 1 clear protaginist it had clear protagonists. Locke and Celes, More so than other games did all the "side" characters here almost all the characters have huge parts in the story with the exception of like 5 of them (the ones not show in this video mostly) Truley a masterpiece.
Why was Locke's face never shown?
They missed out most of the cast. Somebody above said their's a quick glimpse of Relm at 1:19; I looked, but I can't see her.
For love ❤
Celes ❤️❤️
Terra ❤️❤️❤️
Why i cant found the different betwen terra and celes 😁
Celes' theme.
This is as close as we should get to a remake. Honestly, I don't want one. If you treasure FFVI as Square's magnum opis and a piece of gaming fine art, you won't either. I just don't think modern gaming can do it justice. FFVII, for example, may have been remade to a decent degree, but I still think FFVI deserves something special, something beyond what can be offered. What I envision will forever be locked in the '90s, and I'm okay with it.
Even the epicness of the FMVs for the PS FFVI did not make up for the abhorrent loading times of Anthology.
kefka's wings are wrong...
there is suppose to be angel wings on his right
and devil wings on his left
square should remade this to PS4
PS1/N64/Saturn all the way!
Hey,they did it to Cloud in Advent Children
Celes! And Setzer! Final Fantasy III - as it will always be to me - is one of my favorite EVER games I've ever played and replayed.
@orgixvi3
Except this is pre-rendered CGI. The PS1 wasn't actually capable of anything close to this.
Oh my god, whoever is doing the ahhhhing sounds sounds nice. lol Is there an actual track for this version anywhere?
So is the last scene supposed to be Celes and Terra,or just Celes with different clothes?
2:19 ok gambit
yeah a ff6 remake with the same gameplay but with the amazing graphics of ff13
Not an ending. Just a teaser.
God when you compare this to like FF XV. All i have to say is.... ROTFLMAO. FF XV wouldn't even equal the first chapter in most of these classics. Seriously games were such a labor of love back then and developers really strived to create an experience where the narrative and universe took center stage. Now a days rpgs are so distracted by so many other unnecessary bull shit that it distracts you from what really matters, that is STORY and Presentation. I really miss the days where games were just alot more simple and linear back then.
...What about all the FFVI silly sidequests and moments? Lots of comedy and slapstick moments?
I think the problem of modern JRPGs is the opposite. They try too much to be serious, and tryhard to be tragic. That's the problem of games like Octopath. It missed the best elements of games like FF6. Final Fantasy 6 best elements is the humor and creativity. Developers back then shoved whatever they want in their game, because it was experimental fun.
Lots of things in FF6 exists simply because developers thought it would be awesome to create in the game, and it was awesome.
Same with FF7, FF8 and FF9.
All those four games are peak of creativity among Final Fantasy games.
@@KeyleeTamirian Its the same with all styles of fantasy literature these days, anime for example used to have these nice blend of heroic, classic adventure mixed with comedy and sterio typical dungeons and dragon character archtypes now artists and writers strive for something that is different, more dark and more phycological, etc.
Though I guess our ceiling for design in games were much higher in those days because I think alot of it has to do with our modern advances in technology, the scope in what we can achieve in a full game and the imagination we strive for is becoming less and less as time goes on. You know games of the past generations use to consist of these massivly huge worlds, spread across multiple continents, sea's even 2 planets at some points with like 20 towns and 50 dungeons and a world altering story that encompases the entire planet all set across these zoned based or abstractional maps. In this day and age, its unfeasible to reach that kind of scale in a game with out sacrifise to story elements and narative or to create a purely sandbox game.
We simply don't have the resources or time to be able to develop something that large, hense why so many creators with the changing of generational leaps and new hardware, have opted for a more episodic approach to game design where you have ilke multiple games in a series to play before experiencing the whole thing. Or some creators go back to the traditional design instead of ushering in this new era of FILM and CGI. But we have all seen how that turns out with 10 year long production schedules and directors/producers being interchanged you end up with an inconsistent mess like FF XIII.
I think personally the representation of "ART" in games and the imagination that comes with it has slowly declinded over the years and now its become more of a medium of producing film like experiences with some of the best motion video and real life actors/actresses but video games were never film to begin with. How ever we have slowly started to take that approach. Its only going to get worse and game design will become smaller and smaller. Thankfully though this is such a diverse medium and there is so many different styles of games still alive today. Things like Octopath traveler with its HD2d style and Dragon quest XI remain amazing experiences with a more traditional design.
ANyways yeah there is ALOT to talk about on this topic and I could go even deeper but ill stop this comment for now as its getting pretty lengthy.
@@KeyleeTamirian Its why the Era of the PS1 probably remains one of the Peak generations in design for games especially RPGS, it was running at its full compacity in terms of story, world design and imagination. The cieling was just limitless and there was no restrictions to what you can achieve and especially during an era of such experimentation.
I cried................ thats all
=D
哇,,,,,,美 感動
Where can I find this particular version of the theme?
It doesn't exist out in the wild. You might be able to write Square Enix and ask for a copy.
Re ff6 Plz😭
this theme reminds me of aerith theme
That's because it basically is because this is how aireth theme was created
Well, its the same composer, so its not tbat weird
movie remakes SUCk
game remakes should become mandatory. FF6 ftw.
