Very cool! Its almost as big as an EOTECH, also seems to be quality enough to deserve a little better packaging 😅 For the price who cares? I really like the the multi dot configurations, i thought the circle cross hair dot was pretty cool!❤❤❤
How are you determining your price to performance? Genuine question want to get sights between $100-200 because I feel like most of the attachments and optics are brand name stuff like how supreme, versacci and Gucci is too clothes@@BuckeyeBallistics
@thenoobreturnz8968 - Generally peoples concern with budget or "cheap" optics is reliability, like whether the optic will continue to hold zero or keep working long term- and sometimes "will it still work if I drop it." Only way for me to thoroughly test these parameters is to put it through a torture test throwing it around intentionally and shooting up $500 of ammo, which I am just simply not going to do- I cannot afford that and I do not wish to cosmetically destroy everything I ever recieve. Therefore, the only opinion I can give is based off first impressions using it this very first time in the video with a box or two of ammunition. As I said in the video, as far as I can tell it seems to be more robust than than what you would typically get for that price range, it held zero for the mere box or two I fired, and the clarity and crispness of the glass and reticles seemed above average for the price as well. This is about all the opinion I can offer you after only 1 outing with it. So, "how I'm determing the price to performance" is exactly that- it seems above average for $70...
Looks like a good economy site. For those who just want to see if a red dot is what they really want, this is a far less expensive route than buying a higher end site like a Trijicon or Aimpoint. You can always replace it at that point with something high end and then relegate this one to something like a plinker, or maybe this one is just what the person wants. I think this would make a great long-term tester on a shotgun. If it takes that recoil long term it should stay good on most guns. It may be the perfect site for my 12GA AK-47
@@BuckeyeBallistics I see. That may be a bit too much for it to handle on a pump or recoil operated shotgun but maybe??.... a gas operated heavy 12 GA might just work. (And maybe not.) If these ever go on an Amazon super reduced sale, I'll probably try one out on my AK 12GA. If so, I'll let you know how it works out.
It does seem pretty robust, and .308 recoil is higher than most are rated for so I would guess it would be just fine on a semi-auto 12ga- I just can't guarantee it lol. Mine may eventually find it's way onto a 12ga as well, and if it does, I'll let you know as well...
Thanks for the video! Been looking at a few budget options,

Looks like a really solid option. I also really like quick-detach.
For under $100, definately.

@@BuckeyeBallistics thank you I understand completely! I do the same too just trying to get others perspectives
Good video and thank you much. 😊
Would love to see a ballistics video with the hornady black & hornady critical defense for 5.7 !! Nice content btw
Got some Gold Dots, I'll see if I can grab those too.

I wondered too if it would survive on a 12ga shotgun, but technically that's more recoil than the .308 it is rated to handle. At least slugs are...

@@BuckeyeBallistics sounds like another great video may be in the works
👍👍
I was kinda hoping for your drop test on the concrete 🤣
I only do that if they ask me to lol (and sometimes on accident 😅)
If it had shake-to-wake, I’d buy a couple of them.
👍🏼😜🤘🏼🤘🏼😜👍🏼
What was that tool you were using on the sight?
Just an allen wrech with a plastic handle, came with it if I'm not mistaken.
What is the difference between the xl and xlt?
XL may be slightly smaller (not sure), has dial selector for brightness on/off instead of the button, and does not have quick detatch.
I think the XL also rated for smaller caliber if I'm not mistaken
