Thank you. Took my latch to replace screen. Had to look at your video to put things together. Without this video, I would’ve had a screen door without a latch.

Nice video by the transitions gloss over important details like how the spring is supposed to be positioned.

Will this work on an Andersen sliding screen door?

I dont understand. What do u mean if the door closes to the left or to the right?! It all depends what side are you standing, right?
Im trying to instal a narrow stile mortise lock to an iron sliding front gate. I dont know if to put the hook looking down or up. Which way does it go? I cant find a definite answer anywhere and it came without instructions which is crazy. And no website to go to either.

He says in the video the direction is based on when you're standing inside

Nice video, but I still don't have any idea how to squeeze a lock with a spring attached into the screen frame. They get kinky, bend and separate from the lock and when I try to pull them back, they get stretched. I already broke/ spread 3 springs. :(

not that easy--you make it more difficult by including left and right slide doors--very CONFUSING

Terrible product. Spring wouldn't fit, burrs on the plastic, etc. Video not terribly helpful, might have been if product wasn't so crappy. Ended up just putting on the handle without locking mechanism.
    Not happy 😖

I just tried installing my latch as well and it is a real pain in the ass to do when the whole screen door isn't taken off and laying down like how he does it in the video. I ended up bending the spring trying to install it. The inside latch square that is supposed to line up with the outer piece is such a pain in the ass to install because the spring needs to by pushed in while you line up the outer part and not only snap it into place square peg to square peg but also screw in the screw to hold it all in place! I ended up just installing it without the lock and am going to replace it with another brand!
