- For my second day in Nashville, I start off eating at Rise Biscuits Donuts & Righteous Chicken, which I also review. Then I eat at and review Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint, which might just be one of the best BBQ restaurants in the city. After that, I check out the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, which pays tribute to musicians of all genres. Finally, I have dinner at City House in the Germantown neighborhood of Nashville. The restaurant serves comforting Italian food such as pastas and wood-fired pizzas. Chef and owner of City House, Tandy Wilson, became the first Nashville chef to win a James Beard Award.

Holy smokes James, this one is over the top. The manner in which you captured all the highlights could not have been done any better. Literally every single thing you ate looked amazingly delicious. The founder of Rise passed away two years ago. I knew him from the Durham restaurant scene. Great man. There is nothing on the menu that is not fantastic my buddy manages the one a half a mile from my house. I’m there all the time regarding your videos. You are much better than a lot of the channels. You don’t have all the superlatives and hyperbole I just want the information. I definitely enjoy your style. Keep up the good work.

Martin’s BBQ is AMAZING!! Hands down the BEST! Their BBQ sauces are to DIE for. Loved them so much that I ended up ordering some online from their website to have shipped home. Sooooo excited to dive into them and have that taste back home!

As always, great video! I love Graham Greene, my favorite so far is “Travels With My Aunt". I love his implicit humor and unpredictable story lines as in his most read book “The Quiet American“. How is it with “The Orient Express“? It is the only one I did not read yet.
Thank you! Yeah, I'm a big Graham Greene fan too. I enjoyed "The Orient Express". It's not as good as some of his later works, but it still has that style of his that I enjoy. I haven't read "Travels With My Aunt" yet, but I'll definitely have to check it out.

Oh my, those ribs looked delicious! And the main course at City House featured mustard greens which I think is a very underutilized ingredient. The salad and dessert looked fabulous too.

Is a car needed to get around Nashville or do they have public transportation for tourists? Thanks in advance
A lot of things seem walkable, but there were definitely places that you would need a car to get to. Later in my trip, I took a few Ubers. From what I hear, their public buses don't seem to be the best.

It was great food indeed! I think my time was something like 3 hours and 24 minutes, but I'll have a precise time when I make my next Nashville video.
How bad were the hotel
Prices? Nashville is like south beach for prices when I went 5 years ago
They were expensive! I stayed in a motel, which was a pretty lengthy walk from the downtown area and I paid around $150 a night and that was one of the most affordable I could find. Although, to be fair, I was in the city during a more touristy time.
Have you tried L"APARTMENT 4F in Brooklyn?
I've been there once and I enjoyed it. I really want to go back sometime and try their croissant cereal.

How did you do those opening shots when you were filming the food. It looks like the whole plate is rotating. And it doesn’t look like you were circling the camera just like you seen the matrix circling around people.

Yeah, there were definitely some steakhouses in the city that I was interested in trying.

Haha! No, but I did consume a few energy gels during the race, which at least had caffeine in them.

It would depend on the mood I'm in. When it comes to eating, I like variety.

If you're going to go somewhere that preaches whole hog, get the whole hog. Otherwise it looks good.
Yeah, I didn't know that until I was making the video on the restaurant. Still, I don't regret my order. It was delicious!
Also, I was just in Nashville a few weeks ago. WWE hosted and NXT event and I have a goal of visit all 50 states so I knocked off Kentucky.
I made multiple videos: there was one about the waffle house that “Macho Man” Randy Savage got rested at, and I went to a Dairy Queen in Hopkinsville Kentucky, because because Jim Cornett, Chris, Jericho, and a few other wrestlers, went to a Dairy Queen in Hayden Kentucky and got customer service, and Jim Cornett responded with very strong profanity, and also it was secretly recorded because one of the wrestler were filming behind the scene footage, so it became one of those first examples of filming a Karen, and also like social media, filming bad behavior.
And your video style has really helped me out along the way, I can’t wait to bring some skills to Greensboro where I’m vacationing in a couple of days

Why is it, when you take a bite of something, usually a sandwich or burger, you barely scrape your teeth on it? You never dig into it with a big bite.

I know what you mean. It's technically considered a pasta, but the important thing for me that day was that it was carb heavy, which was what I wanted before the race.
