This top tier content. I am saying this a bit selfishly frustrated because I have been beating this drum to a crew of willfully ignorant classic "car guys"

What customers want is no friction. If I don't want the add ons, don't force them on me, don't pre install them on the car thinking that way I am forced to buy it. If I say no to the extended warranty do go on this extended story on how my car is gonna blow up the minute I drive off the lot.
If you have a price online, honor it. Don't tell me there are all these extra fees once I get into the dealership. We all know every price needs Tax, Tittle, Lincense and doc fee. Anything else is just added friction that we hate as customers.

Great pod sounds like these two know why I haven't walked onto a car lot since July 15th, 2003. Unfortunately my job of 23 years hasn't kept up with new car prices but I like hearing the industry is changing to be more transparent.

I don’t know what your job is, however you should look into going into another field. Actually, the car business is a really good industry and there’s a spot for anyone in it!
Go look at the CDG job board to see if there’s something you’d be interested in.

@@tyleraog2713Thank you, friend. I have 7 years to go to get full pension, and I plan to do exactly that. That is one of the reasons I am here learning all I can. I work for a business that made me sign a form saying I would not disclose where I work online. It is a great job and I love it and my customers but wish it paid more.

Very insightful. Do you happen to have a BDC guy coming on the pod anytime soon? As a new BDC manager, I would love to hear about the dealership business from the BDC side of things.

Too many add-ons, too many negotiations. I was even making negations with the finance guy over an extended warranty when the deal was all done, just told them I hit my spending limit. I could not believe all the add ons on the vehicle I was interested in and the Lojack add on threw me. That Lojack it's just for the dealers benefit to track the car not yours even the car insurance people told me that. You could get an Apple AirTag and will do as much as you need. I already have service notices that come installed. Too many games.. be straight with the customer is all we ask. Is that so difficult to figure out?
