As someone who’s been burned in a grease fire I can assure you the pain from being burned is truly something I never want to experience ever ever again

I had a chemical burn recently and the swelling and throbbing pain that came with it really really sucked. I assume getting burned by something hot probably induces the same effect?
@@forrestallen9354 Once it burns through the skin, a third-degree burn doesn't really cause that much pain because the nerves are gone. I've had both. Believe me.
@@MrMZaccone Maybe it depends because my mom got 3rd degree burns down her legs from hot cooking oil and she was in agony for a while
@@forrestallen9354 The process of being burned is very painful but at a certain point, at least for me, the pain just stopped. The ugly part was at that point, I couldn't tell if I was still being burned. I got pinned between a heavy weight and hot metal working in a forge. Once the skin was destroyed, there weren't any nerves left to communicate the damage.
"No pain like burning " In 2007 my neighbors two teenage daughter's ages 15 and 17 were riding in a car with one of their highschool friends and were T-boned by a Tri-axle dump truck. One of his daughters legs were pinned under the dashboard. The driver and her sister were able to get out while people who lived near the intersection tried desperately to get the girls legs free when the car suddenly burst into flames. 10 people started carrying buckets of water while the owner of one home rushed to run his garden hose to reach the car all the while her sister watched in horror....the flames began coming through the windshield and dashboard....the trapped girls screams were indescribable...the car was fully engulfed before the fire department and police arrived. Her sister will spend the rest of her life with that image in her mind and the sound of those screams in her ears. Her mother built a rock garden memorial in her yard and I used to look at it every time I walked by her house. I simply cannot imagine what burning to death would feel like but I can tell you this, if I had to choose between the physical pain of fire and the psychological pain of the sister watching her sibling die like that I would take the physical pain of the flames.

I had a step dad that was discharged from the army. Not sure the exact details but there was a car wreck it threw him out of the vehicle. His wife and newborn daughter died. The other vehicle involved caught on fire. My stepdad tried but was unable to save the driver of the other vehicle, who was trapped inside. I can't imagine what he went through.
This is terrible and im sorry for the loss 😢.

A friend of mine is a emt, they ran a call a few years back for a head on collision. When the sheriff arrived on scene first there were two vehicles that had smashed into each other on a long bend turn. One vehicles occupants were not making any noise and motionless later determined they were killed on impact. Second vehicle had a single occupant (19 year old driver) was conscious and asking for help, but the bystander couldn’t get him out he was pinned in, the truck started on fire at the front end under carriage. the sheriff tried all that he could to pry the door open and to pull the kid out. In seconds the truck was engulfed in flames and there wasn’t a thing the sheriff or bystander could do. And the intensity of the fire was beginning to be to much for the sheriff to stand, he tried to put fire out with his small extinguisher but it helped little, the cab caught fire and in a second the whole cab was in flames and for about 90 seconds the boy screamed at the top of his lungs until the screaming just stopped … the sheriff said to my friend that it took everything in his power to not shoot the kid… that’s a day I’m sure he will never forget. But what do you do?… just glad I’ve never been in that situation and pray to god I’ll never have to be… sometimes people see things that other people couldn’t even imagine..

@zacktriplett8347 I'm sure you did! I had a gas burn from my finger tips to midway up my forearm and it was one of the most intense pains I've ever felt. The worst was a barely numbed spinal tap done at a shit hospital, thought they killed me that day!

If you have a third degree burn you're supposed to be in the hospital that's a pretty serious burn infections and all kinds of stuff

Real life is not a movie. In real life you would likely get charged with murder or manslaughter. True you may get found not guilty and win at trial, but depending on the local prosecutor and the details of said event you could potentially be charged with several crimes including discharging a firearm in city limits. While many people might think assisted suicide is moral it is only legal in 9 states, last I checked, and then it must still meet certain criteria. A prosecutor would argue this case isn't assisted suicide. Assisted suicide would be if dude handed the gun to burn victim and burn victim shot himself. Your honor the defendant intentionally burnt down the residence, then when he found the victim he then shot him to finish the job. His co defendant is telling the same story as he is to try to keep herself out of trouble. First degree Murder, arson, and conspiracy to commit, life in prison for both.

I can’t imagine that much burn on my body, I live in NC and there is a burn unit in Chapel Hill. A guy I knew from school ran a food truck. He swears he had done what he did 1,000 times, the burns he suffered were over 60% of his body. He fought hard and the center did too…he made a full recovery with skin grafts, pain meds, and therapy. Running the truck again but embarrassed at scares and doesn’t like to discuss them

Someone burnt cooking meth? Wait for the ambulance and avoid jail. Also, the burns were made to be 3rd degree.. They don't hurt since the nerves have been cooked.
I know it looks awful ,but once receptors burn their isnt pain anymore, but the chance of living at that point is low because of infections

I had a fireplace with gas piped in to start it blow up. The gas was so strong it blew the match out and left me with 2nd and 3rd degree burns from neck to my waist front side. Alovera plant saved me from scaring and the pain was unreal.

So theoretically with a 3rd degree burn you can't actually feel it but that doesn't apply to everything around the wound which is basically hell on earth that no one can do anything about,but the main thing here is the guy was covered in a fuck ton of inconsistent burns head to toe
Not passing out from the pain almost immediately is honestly impressive and shows the guy was probably high enough that his adrenaline was working on overdrive,otherwise he would've been gone already
So imagine being stuck there having to slowly die from some of the worst pain possible while your body refuses to just let you pass out because your senses are going haywire,ive taken a somewhat bad burn on my arm during a cooking accident that made me seriously consider getting drunk or high or abuse pain meds just to make the feeling go away so id imagine something this severe would make you beg for death
Worst part is there is no way to fix a burn and nothing doctors can do,its not like breaking a bone or getting a bruise
The only fix is time that you dont have in a situation like this and people have died from less
