One of the best all-terrain rippers of all time. Ridiculous rails, mini ramps, transition, pools, stairs...you name it and this dude went HUGE on it. I will never forget the impact this part had on me and I'm sure I'm not alone!
Just in the first 2 min of this video you can see the determination in this guy. After he bails, there's no cussing or freaking out, just right back up and on the board to try again. This guy rules.
Ya I wanna know the magic this guy has, what does he think after he eats so much shit. The dudes got some kinda will power and mantra to go at it after all kinds of hurt
This dude is just quintessential archetype of skater body and mind, brought into a modern age and new philosophy (of how high, fast, far, risky and technical)... his style is made made for water and waves, but his pain tolerance means he goes into battle with concrete, metal, jagged edges and gravity completely fearlessly and almost with a calm aura of joy.
This upload seems quite late but I’m so stoked for this! This video part was a HUGE influence for me and made me start learning transition skating. Thanks Thrasher!
Can’t believe it’s been that long, seems like just yesterday this part came out …. David has always been a beast, I remember first time seeing him in person at a Tampa am event and my mind was blown…. Dude is amazing to watch on a board, this part will always hold up..
So fast, so big, so clean, so incredible...!!Will suggest that next to the words commitment & dedication in the dictionary, we put the name of David Gonzalez.Waw man, 23minutes of videos passed like him...too fast!!!Thank you for this moment. That is corones👏👏its obvious, every1 should give à thumbs up for such video of high level of skate👍👍👍
One reason this is so sick to see which often might get overshadowed is how well he bails out of death defying situations. He could have been knocked out so many times or broken everything, but he somehow just walks the Hubba like a plank, or slides or rolls or some ninja shit everytime. So yea, add bail king to his accolades 🤘 definitely fuckin possessed to skate
I remember when I skated these younger kids coming up behind us that had that crazy thrash my body for an awesome trick mentality. I'm so glad they're still out there in this guy, homie mad props and much love keep thrashing.
Wow, it's rare that I get ill to my stomach by watching those insane inclines and huge rails and everything else on this vid. I imagined myself rolling up to those things. I would have been petrified. David has to be one of the bravest rippers out there.
First time seeing this beings I ride BMX, this dude SHREDS. Best part about it is all of the clips are RAW, no music. The sounds skateboards make on different surfaces have always sounded cool to me
Jesus. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen someone put in such ball busting work for a part. He’ deserves mad respect for his commitment to be willing to eat shit over and over again without giving up. Absolutely amazing part, begin to end. Total inspiration. WHAT A FUCKING BEAST!!!
I downloaded the video from vimeo and uploaded it to youtube when i was like 15 years old. The one with 1.6 million views. This shit takes me back i almost shed a tear.
☆Wow!!!☆ My newest favorite skater! R.e.s.p.e.c.t. What and the actual fxxk! Soooo badass, words cannot adequately express the appreciation for the indomitable spirit this guy obviously has... King of the Mountain (formerly the 'Hill') material if ever was. Muchos amor y respitos! Incredible.
This is the roughest cut I have ever seen, this level of skating is just as gnary if not more than today's skating. The only thing that indicates this part is from 10 years ago is the video quality. This was so dope
uma das parts mais marcantes que eu já assisti foi possessed to skate do david gonzalez me lembro até hoje da primeira vez que assisti pelo site da thrashser mesmo
There is something ASMR-ISH to me when a skater is doing a few line tricks before hitting a handrail and lands his tricks so well he has no need to push in between them. It always looks so clean to me.
He’s the 1st serious South America thrasher I can think of. Dude shredded da gnar . Kinda of a living legend in a way. I mean , dude can probably just sit back and people will still remember this part and all that. Anyways good stuff David 🤘🏼
does anyone remember the ad in Thrasher 'the actual' Magazine that featured Coco Santiago ollieing those stairs that David is kickflipping in the still shot for this video? That ad (may have been spitfire) always blew me away and made Coco one of my all time favourite skaters, after searching out coverage of him, which is fucking rare, and precious. Coco was an early Hellrider and ATV.
One of the best all-terrain rippers of all time. Ridiculous rails, mini ramps, transition, pools, stairs...you name it and this dude went HUGE on it. I will never forget the impact this part had on me and I'm sure I'm not alone!
i feel like i absolutely suck after watching this
MY brain 🧠 got damaged just watching him skate all those fucked s¶0Ts
@@DavidSjodinisbest I’m worse, it’s okay bro 😂
shit was fire my mans was relentless🔥🔥🔥🔥
My a-hole is one of the best rippers.
Damn what a throwback to an all time classic
Come on the reds. 3-0 tonight
I bet another ten years can go by and this will still be one of the gnarliest parts ever.
Just in the first 2 min of this video you can see the determination in this guy. After he bails, there's no cussing or freaking out, just right back up and on the board to try again. This guy rules.
And how often he gets up smiling after what would be a session-ending slam for most
@@oL5re9re55ion i had trouble getting out of my chair after watching
Ya I wanna know the magic this guy has, what does he think after he eats so much shit.

Fr he is really good
I swear David Gonzalez is a descendant of warriors , He battles the hell out of every spot .
One of the most legendary parts ever. I've watched it over 50 times, gets me pumped to skate every time.
Dude is on a whole other level. Most of these spots haven't been skated since.
The Ender was the first and only time that things been skated
@@recession81 dustin dollin tried itand got smoked, it was in a beagle tape last year
@@exactlywhatisaid Yeah I seen that lol he def tried to skate it
Nooo way Thrasher, c'mon, 10 years later? i remember my early days in skateboarding watching this part like hell
Same here dude
You complaining?
Better late then never, I think it's sick that they dug all this footy up
This is 10 years old? Damn I had to google how old he was to be slamming like this haha. Dudes done some epic shit though regardless.
That's what more should be doing, not exactly ten years later but you do a shit ton of work and use it over time
This dude is just quintessential archetype of skater body and mind, brought into a modern age and new philosophy (of how high, fast, far, risky and technical)... his style is made made for water and waves, but his pain tolerance means he goes into battle with concrete, metal, jagged edges and gravity completely fearlessly and almost with a calm aura of joy.
Belo texto!
this is why david gonzalez has always and will always be my favorite skater
Hands down one of the gnarliest skaters out there
10 years later and this part is still mind blowing - that’s the thing with great skateboarding: it’s timeless
You guys should re-upload the original but in decent quality. One of my all time favorites for sure
Please!
Right??
Please!
I feel like the picture quality adds some nostalgic value to it 🤷♂️
Soooo many parts from the last ~10 years need a 720 or 1080 re-upload
David González SOTY legend! ❤️ La leyenda sudamericana!
Those front board attempts on that kinked rail is so nuts 😮
So scary!
I thought he ended up landing this. Did he not?
I don't even know how anyone could land on that surface at the bottom...that's beyond "crust", looks like some sorta sand/dirt/gravel combination 😅
I can't believe how gnarly and the level this is being 10 years ago. No wonder David' has been one of my favourites since the beginning.
One of the best Thrasher parts of all time. I went out and bought a quiver of Gonzalez boards after seeing this.
I wanted to see some old videos and then this one pops out !!!! One of my favorites and was waiting long for this rought cut
All absolutely incredible. That 50 at the end still gives me chills every time I see it. What an animal!
This upload seems quite late but I’m so stoked for this! This video part was a HUGE influence for me and made me start learning transition skating.
Thanks Thrasher!
This is the gnarliest thing I’ve ever seen in my life
This was one of the hardest parts ever put out. Thrasher thank you for the throw back
this guy just keeps shredding like there is no tomorrow- that’s why he is my favorite skate all time. never disappoints
Shit is so gnarly I had to look away on some of those bails. Almost gave me a fucking heart attack. What a damn legend.
Always makes me wanna skate!! Never forget when i met him at that LBC park i was star struck. His Extremely sorry part is always my top 5 🤟
I’m sick as hell right now and seeing this makes me feel a little better. One of the first parts I ever saw and it will always be embedded in my mind

Like the one at 10:59. How da fuq does his leg not snap
He gets out of everything super deftly and still gets hella bloodied. Goes to show how next level his tricks are. Dudes a fucking maniac
I remember when I skated these younger kids coming up behind us that had that crazy thrash my body for an awesome trick mentality. I'm so glad they're still out there in this guy, homie mad props and much love keep thrashing.
The guy is just an amazing talent. Gnarly af and always seems to have a good vibe about him. Still ripping to this day.
This guy rips as hell Rock on David 🤘🏼🤘🏼🇨🇴
Pleased to see the rough cuts of this legendary part so many years after!!
David Still rules with that!!!
This was one of the first skate videos I seen. Still one of the greatest 🙏🏽
And after all this time, this part is still so fuckin gnarly
This part was so gnarly and the music fit perfectly!! I watch this part before I go skate TO THIS DAY
One of the best parts of all time.

Fun fact: Possessed to Skate was the first Thrasher video to have the opening Thrasher logo reverse burn!!!
hadn't planned on watching this whole thing right now but i couldn't turn away.
One of those parts I remember where I was when I saw it. David just embodies Thrasher!! RAW!!
Absolutely phenomenal. One of the best current street skaters by far.
Thank Thrasher and the Universe! Been waiting for this for a min. 🤘

That kick over the arch sculptures is a thing of beauty

Insane skill and balls. The tenacity is admirable. Straight anxiety watching those rail slams
I watched this part RELIGIOUSLY back in the day.

That Nollie Kick in to the bank was so beautiful.

Love seeing him skate, he is really the christian hosoi of his time
Some of the most important skaters just did their part and walked away. Huge respect
Underrated beast who can skate everything 💯
What a treat of an upload!! 🤘
So heavy, that frontboard at the start is unbelievable. What a warrior!
I have personally shown Possessed to skate to like 30 people. It blew me away when it was released.
That was such a rad part! hes been living in Colombia since the pandemic and needs to relase a new part all filmed in Medellin!

I can't be the only one who enjoys these rough cuts more than the part itself, which is fucking insane🤘

I credit this part with getting me back into skating. So many gnarly slams and the wild no comply shit

Can't help to think of Milton Martinez from watching old foty of D. Gonzalez.....
Nice one, that was and still is a sick part:) ✌️
This part was insane and it’s insane that we get the rough cut!
I got my first skateboard in 1973, I wish I had a quarter of this guys talent and bravery.
This dude has made globe so much money, yet they gave mr. gillette full creative control of globe and kicked him off.. a freakin soty.
some times it looks to easy.
but this shows the real sweat and tears that go into a 2 second clip !
So much respect. DG put himself on the map I heard of him through Geoff Rowley.
Great job Dave Gonzalez Keep it up !!!!!!!
what a time this was, take me back 😢
