This 57 year old Bird has been well kept and more than likely in a garage for more than half it's life. The paint is original, for there is no over spray on it any were, the tires are Perrelis and probably the 2nd set on it for the were that I see on them, so the mileage on the odometer is more than likely true, the high rise manifold and 4 bbl came later, for that was not stock of the day, not unless it was special order. For this old Firebird is worth every penny. WOW what a find.
When I came back from Nam. in 68 my dad and uncle bought me a new 68 Firebird, 400 ci. And was very surprised it came from the factory with a 2bbl carb. I soon got a 4 bbl high rise manifold and a 4 bbl carter. But was very peppy with the 2 bbl, but with the new manifold and headers it was fast as hell beat my brothers 383 Road Runner. It was stolen right out of the driveway and never saw it again. I knew the VIN and for a few years checked every Firebird I saw. Cop didnt do anything but take the report and insurance wrote it off. But never saw a yellow with black top Firebird. Then bought a 68 GTX 440 and that car was in a whole different class. Nothing I could do to that Firebird could match the speed of the GTX
Thanks for your service, man you were over there when it was hot and heavy. Glad ya made it back home.
Sounds like lifters and valve work needed
Sounds a little like a diesel. Probably not good. Dump a can of Seafoam in that old Bird.
I’m 67
Wow I love that Firebird!! I like the matching numbers motor and the gold paint and the stock wheels !!! Nice ride !! Thanks for the drive Nick!!
Love Firebirds. Pontiac was the coolest division of GM. RIP
Love the color and interior of this one. I got the horn ( Factory)
And I got the gas gauge yesterday too! You threw that in there when you were handing out tshirts.
I'm on 🔥!
My paternal Grandma had a 68 with the 350 and it was my first experience in a muscle car. Love that power. Balanced and nimble, but you gotta keep sandbags in the trunk.
A Firebird 400, love it. And of course being a '67, it's the rarest of the first-gen Firebirds too. This car won't hang around your lot for long
Nice Firebird, Looks cool in the gold. Thanks Nick!
Good looking 67 🤜🤛
Sounds like a threshing machine.
Sounds like the lifters are knocking
No Light on your Undercarriage Shots ??
My best friends mom had that same firebird when I was a kid. The cool mom.😁
As a kid, this was a favorite!
Don't Think Nick U Would Be Running Out Of Gas In First Gen Firebird Unlike The 68 Bel-Air Estate Wagon Test Drive Video
One of my favorite cars
Vinyl hardtop - very cool car 😎
I.had a 1968 firebird w/400 and 400 turbo Automatic tranny with 3/4" lob cam and it ran real strong maroon in color
Outstanding ❤
Classic.
Wow seeing a lot of cars that have been sold before they even make the website lol
Another sweet ride 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Nice firebird nick only thing i would change is the exhaust sounds like an old tractor
26.500 when I saw it!!!
Yes sir another sweet ride
Very nice ride.
I'm placing my bet that the kick down works.
NICE
Nice ride.
Is it just me or do Firebirds seem to have less rust out areas than Camaro of same years? On the cars I have owned sure seems that way.
Nice bird
Nice ,,,
Don't run out of gas
No A/C 😔
you can buy an aftermarket kit
🤤
Nice bird ready to go decent shap a good driver ready for summer cruises
Really NICE CAR!!
Couldn’t miss that early, pre 73, Chevy Blazer when you pulled into the lot at the end of the test drive!! 😮😮. Not inventory, I’m sure.
I have always preferred the Firebird over the Camaro (just a numbers thing), even over the Trans Am version of the Firebirds.
Not too much to get right close to an ideal car. Little rust repair, but really not much (if there’s no hidden rust under the cracks). Sorry I mentioned that even, but I have had some expensive repairs from great coverups. 😂😂. I get too excited once I really want a vehicle!! Heh heh.
This one looks real nice though. Bit of a tune up, adjust the lifters, all from sitting, type of maintenance. Sitting doesn’t do any vehicle much good! 😊
Thanks Nick! I hope the car show was a good time! 😊
What a cream puff. They say if you put 5 gallons of fresh gas into 5 gallons of bad gas, now you have 10 gallons of bad gas.
At rig is nasty
I wonder if they ever made 400 ram air4
