Thanks for the long and comprehensive test. I own a ID7. I have driven my it, 77 kWh sedan, now for 5 months and 10000 km and I am happy to see it can compare itself with other even more expensive brands. I know it is boring but as you said overall the best pick for the € or krona. My longest drive was Munich to Stockholm and back no issue what so ever. It didn't feel like a BEV. BEV cars are now equal for almost every use case compared to a ICE car and even the prices for the ID7 are on par with the Passat if you have a comparable loaded in Germany.
@@ItsOnlyElectric Prices are not compatible at all. Skoda Superb estate petrol is close to 20 000 pounds cheaper or shell I say more affordable here in the UK.
Yes, but you can't compare a superb against a id7, as you can't compare I Passat against s superb (different price classes). You need to compare it against a VW Passat that's similarly equipped. Then it's the same price.
Nice video. A lot of effort put into it. Keep up the good work. Didn’t watched it full, I’m always interested in this kind of range tests, it would be nice if you can also include de tire size, outside temperature and add them for reference somewhere in a spread sheet available for us and for future reference. Not sure if you already do that.
the bmw touring without a larger battery is a big miss for the quintessential tourer. Too bad for the poor efficiency of the Zeekr, otherwise it could be a favorite. Should be interesting to review the revised improved version, when it will arrive.
This version of the Zeekr has 2 motors. So it is not a surprise that the consumption is higher. I drive the car daily in Holland. Love the car. It drives superbe!
I have discover you with this video and i like to say that it is high quality Ev test ! I don't understand why the Emeya by Lotus isn't chosen by the press for this type of road test. May be in the futur 😂
Thank you! Try to punch upwards when it comes to content. 😊 I have tried to get hold of Lotus cars for a while now. Let me say it like this: they work a bit differently compared to the other brands here in Sweden.. 😂
Really intresting test the only thing I miss is to have the Tesla model y in it. I know, booring, but I think its a good baseline in a multi-Electric car test. Big surprice whas when i used the car-configurer for each model. My configuration was long-range, black and bare minimum interior that i could live with. In Sweden the Zeekr was actually the cheepest. Zeekr - 693.000sek, VW id7 - 738.000sek, BMW 793.000sek, NIO(if you buy the battery, like in the other cars)- 825.000sek, Taycan - 1.500.000sek. Didn´t even choose the VW GTX and the Zeekr was still cheaper. And a Tesla Model Y with the same config would cost 617.000 and a WLTP of slightly the most att 600km.
@ but the questions asked towards the end had nothing to do with the range.. they were more of car, style, drive etc.. Just a thought. Overall, very nice video!
Very interesting content. In the UK we don't get the two Chinese brands. Match the specs and in I5 is over £20,000 more than the ID7 and only fear wheel drive. The ID7 looks very tempting. Keep up the good work.
You should have called me, I could have tagged along with the XPeng G6. j/k I love that you did a non-SUV comparison, something that should be done more often... and XPeng doesn't have a tourer... yet 😆
@@stigronnysuleskard5299according to Nio there is no plan for the 150kWh pack coming to Europe. But at least you can rent the 75 and upgrade to the 100 when needed on a monthly basis. I think that's a great idea to get initial cost down.
It's easier to mentally estimate total consumption if efficiency is expressed in consumption per output. If your needed output is 460 km and you're making 21 kwh/100km, your total consumption is 21 x 460/100 or 21 x 4.6 kWhs which is fairly easy to compute mentally (multiply by 4 which is easy to compute and add 60% so a bit more than half of your consumption/100km). If efficiency is expressed in ouput per unit of consumptuon, so 21 kwh/100km becomes 4.76 km/kwh, good luck deviding 460 by 4.76.
Great report, we don’t have the nio or zeeker in the uk until next year but to be honest would probably go for the ID7. Good efficiency, comfortable, huge boot , looks decent and dealer network everywhere. Would’ve liked to know the prices of the cars tested or did I miss that? Anyway thanks for sharing and showing some great Swedish countryside. Merry Christmas 🎄 🎉🍻
Zeekr 001 has 21inch wheels so yes range will obviously be not as good when you're testing against cars with smaller wheels drop down to 18s or 19s and see a big difference.
Money no object Porsche - Budget is an issue? also no brainer ID7 for me please - coming from a long time BMW fan. Great test team and setting, thank you guys!
@@Rob_Dekker thats not really true tho, the NIO had less consumption than the Porsche and the BMW. If I understood it correctly in the video the NIO just has reserved more battery as a buffer and allows 90kw/h net capacity and instead of the 100 Porsche allows. So the car allows less range than the Taycan while being more efficient.
True, but with swapping stations range issues are a thing of the past. 2900 stations in China already. Lots of Nio owners there never had to manually charge them for years.
Nice Video. Thx. Did you ever consider to put the fuel consumption in proportion to the specific Net Weight of the different Cars? Would make some sense in my opinion. Especially Cars with LFP Batterys may have a Disadvantage regarding Power to Weight ratio. As far i know the Zeekr 001 is using an LFP Battery Powered System, which i would prefer regarding Longevity. The higher Weight could explain a part of the higher Fuel-Consumption. Keep on doing Videos like this. I´m from Germany and looking for the next Electric Car. All presented Cars are in Selection, except Porsche. Range, overall Storage Space, Material Quality and Value echoed are the Main Criterias. Zeekr still is not present in Germany while writing, which i do understand, because Germany as a difficult Market Place caused by very high electricity Prices, which will remain for longer time on that niveau.
That's a Interesting topic..weight is not as bg factor as we may think. Most important is air resistance and wheel size. The Zeekr does have a NMC pack, one of the main reasons for the high consumption is the big 22" wheels and wide 265 tires.
@@ItsOnlyElectric Hey, welcome your reply. Thx. Air resistance is sure the main criteria, you´re right. Big Wheel sizes and wide Tires don´t help either. Wanna be pretty, so you have to suffer 🙂 As far as i know Zeekr is using LFP Batterys either. Maybe depending to the exact Model. Another great car that i´m considering is the Xpeng G6. Great Value and low Power Consumption. Drove it for an day, really surprised. Wish you a merry Christmas an a happy New Year 2025
@@Dep1369 You have to be very lucky if you have a swap station on your route. There are only 14 in germany and null (!) in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Croatia.
Thanks for this video which is both informative and exciting to watch. We're in the market for an EV in this class. What I'm missing is a broader perspective that reflects how large purchases of a family car are decided. In the real world, spouses who share budgetary and driving responsibilities on that proverbial drive to Idre should be given a voice. Can your partners do a "revenge of the sambos" version of the test? And why not give the kids a voice?
Efficiency, features, price that ID7 looks like the best all around car. I get it that it isn't the premium experience of the other cars. Premium cars are a category of their own really. So if you excluded the ID7 that would be a harder decision. I would probably say the BMW in the premium class of these cars because of the size, space, and all the bells and whistles. But if it was my money the ID7 Tourer would be it. I just wish we could get that car in the US. The added space of the wagon is so nice.
Wow, nice video and road trip here. You have put a good work with your friends. I'm a bit disappointed by the Porsche tho, but still, would love to test it out. And also the ID7 GTX 🙂 But anyway, thanks for that cool video
It was running on bigger rims than standard. But I guess the efficiency is not really top notch. Maybe that's not the priority for Porsche, but rather being sporty and involving the driver.
@@ItsOnlyElectric Yes, agreed. I said I was disappointed, but don't get me wrong, the Taycan is still the EV I would definitely go for if I had the money for 😄
Haha..!
@ItsOnlyElectric If you have to buy today a family SUV electric in sweden , will you buy tesla Y or any other ? And will you buy AWD or RWD if you still choose tesla y. I am living in Northern sweden. Extreme cold. About to buy SUV electric and looking for opinions and suggestions Anyone reading this message can comment and suggest please.
In your case I would go for an AWD for sure. Since I own a model Y today I wouldn't go for a new Y until the facelift is available, not because it's a bad car but because I don't want to swap to the same car. So then I would probably go for the İd7 GTX tourer (not a SUV, i know), or maybe the Nio EL6 (because i love the design), the Audi Q6 Quattro or wait for the Zeekr 7X
as a former taycan 4s CT owner i can see why it didnt come out on top. as kids get taller the rear seats are usless. plus as a daily your basically sitting on the ground. i went back to a cayenne s hybrid. here in ireland we dont have the Nio or Zeekr but i would really consider the Zeekr if it came here as running an EV is a no brainer compared to the ICE
The Porsche is the car I want, the ID7 is the logical car. I ended up getting a BMW i5 (sedan, since the touring wasn’t available yet). Why: the interior of the VW isn’t that good, the bigger battery on the ID7 wasn’t available yet (neither was the wagon). And scarily: the actual price of the I5 and ID7 isn’t that different on a company rent. On the 19” wheels my consumption is quite good. In summer I manage around 17-18kWh/100km, in the winter it is just under 20, but haven’t done big trips in the winter yet. It could do with a bigger battery. If I were to get a new car now it would probably be a Audi A6 avant performance. The Porsche is great, but just a bit to expensive for me. The NIO has a bad interior (to me) and just like the zeker (to high a consumption) it isn’t available in my country. Instead of the Zeekr I’d rather have the Polestar 3.
Thank you! Yes, I heard Zeekr Sweden is looking to add the choice of smaller rims and slimmer tires as a winter setup. Would really improve the consumption.

@@ItsOnlyElectricI would like to see a similar test with the Zeekr 7X in the future.
Hi. Now the new AUDI A6 Avant e-tron is the new longrange KING! It charges quicker than the ID.7 and consume lower! In February´25 it´s my own. 😀 I am disappointed with the NIO and ZEEKR. And BMW has a battery that is too small
Similar consumption. But 800v architecture so better charging speeds, better interior, and still not as pricey as Porsche. Thats why i think if they include it, Audi would be a winner ;-)
@@petrbrok2468 Better charging speed if you have a 800V charging charger, if not it will be much slower. I'm in the process of selecting either A6 or ID.7 as my next car, there really is not so much difference between both cars. I estimate 15 min over 1000 km in between both cars. Anyway, A6 will be in the showroom mid of January, and I will decide after a test drive. But I won't pick the A6 for it's "superior range", it will need to convince me being worth 15 k€ more on other elements.
Sorry but still the range is the main issue… promissed range of these cars is mostly over 500km and in real condidtions all of them need re-charging before reaching 300km… who is fooling who here ???
Based on what? 2 out of 5 drivers had it as their lowest ranking. It scored the lowest in real world range vs WLTP. And the fact that swap wasn’t used points to the inherent limitation of this way of regaining energy: there simply wasn’t any swap station along the route, while there was many fast chargers. And the efficiency, for being the smallest car in the group, is awful.
@ do not come to fast conclusions test drive the car. Yes NIO recommends swapping w battery then charging. I hope NIO will definitely be best electric vehicle for the future wait for couple of years they will produce super luxury and fast cars. I recommend you to test drive all NIO models
2 out of 5 were chosen NIO just due their personal internal space needs, but what do you expect if you put the smallest vehicle in this comparison. Why not to choose ET7 instead? 😉
Range range range. Seriously, I have to stop after 250 km for a break for myself, not the car. Reliable charging speed is what matters, not range.
I agree. But we wanted to prove that you can go. Further than you need without stopping.
True, but most stopping places don't have charging...
Also many places where I want to go don’t have charging places. So I Need Double the Range to come home without charging too
That sounds very remote! Where is that?
Agree. These clowns have no idea. Drive for 2 to 3 hours stop for a coffee stretch and a pee and charge up again.

Great video, thanks. Pity you could not include the xpeng p7 or tesla model S or a Mercedes. But great nonetheless.
Thanks! Unfortunately none of the brands you mention offers a station wagon. Closest may be the Model S
ID.7all the way - a superb car for the money.
Nio is beautiful and now exist a certain Xiaomi Su7 that seems better than Porsche Taycan in esthetic and fashion
Naa its not - way off, but its a great car for its price range - but I only saw tests not real me testing it. It tries to be a Taycan copy in cheap.
@bavariancarenthusiast2722 No for the greater public now the Xiaomi is the car, the Porsche Taycan is forget car
@@giuliopedrali4794 For now in China only - not over here. And no. The Xiamii looks to be a great car for the price - but far from the Taycan.
Excellent video! Happy new Year to you! See you then!
Thanks 🙏 Happy New Year
good video. Taycan no brainer barring cost
@rainermenes5921as you say, now on par with equivalent ICE cars. Will be even more competitively priced in a couple of years.
Why not swapping on the NIO? 😢😅
No swap station suitable along the route.. only Enköping.
Now swap the battery for Nio to a 150kwh battery. Range is 1000km plus.
Bring it and shrink the buffer so more capacity can be used as net
Nice video. A lot of effort put into it. Keep up the good work. Didn’t watched it full, I’m always interested in this kind of range tests, it would be nice if you can also include de tire size, outside temperature and add them for reference somewhere in a spread sheet available for us and for future reference. Not sure if you already do that.
I do provide a spreadsheet for all members..but I'm going to add tire size into the description.
Great video! I like to see comparisons of cars. Most videos are reviews. I want more comparisons and more purchase advice.
Thanks! More to come!
the bmw touring without a larger battery is a big miss for the quintessential tourer.
Too bad for the poor efficiency of the Zeekr, otherwise it could be a favorite. Should be interesting to review the revised improved version, when it will arrive.
Really looking forward to the updated one. Hope it arrives soon.
This version of the Zeekr has 2 motors. So it is not a surprise that the consumption is higher. I drive the car daily in Holland. Love the car. It drives superbe!
@daveykay4503 ID7, NIO and Porsche also AWD..tog mig rims and tires on the Zeekr.
I have discover you with this video and i like to say that it is high quality Ev test !
I don't understand why the Emeya by Lotus isn't chosen by the press for this type of road test. May be in the futur 😂
Thank you! Try to punch upwards when it comes to content. 😊
I have tried to get hold of Lotus cars for a while now. Let me say it like this: they work a bit differently compared to the other brands here in Sweden.. 😂
Best swedish test Ive seen by far.
Btw which car had the best headlights?
I would say it's between the id7, bmw and the Porsche. Har to tell without proper testing.
Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks alot for this test very well preformed! The one without soul is the obvious winner 😊
Yes, very true! 😊
The Zeekr is really at a good price at all trim levels.
Get your point with the MY, but we wanted to stay to tourers only.
This test is among station wagons. Tesla never had one, unfortunately. It's all about Elon Musk ego even in shape design.
Well done for the effort. Keep the good work up. I would like to see the new Lynk & Co 02 and the Kia EV3 GT line.
Kia EV3 GT-line under post processing, stay tuned. :) Will check the Lync.
Thanks for watching
Thank you 🙏🏻
Nio ET7 should have been the right one for comparison.
It's not a tourer and range would be even lower.
@ but the questions asked towards the end had nothing to do with the range.. they were more of car, style, drive etc.. Just a thought. Overall, very nice video!
@MrAbdulRehman786 I get it.its hard to stick to the concept. So many feelings and things to discuss. 😅
Very interesting content. In the UK we don't get the two Chinese brands. Match the specs and in I5 is over £20,000 more than the ID7 and only fear wheel drive. The ID7 looks very tempting. Keep up the good work.
Id7 is a good choice! Thanks 🙏
@ItsOnlyElectric Just seem a lease price drop in the UK £370 per month for the Pro and £435 for the GTX. Factory order and any colour except red.
You should have called me, I could have tagged along with the XPeng G6. j/k
I love that you did a non-SUV comparison, something that should be done more often... and XPeng doesn't have a tourer... yet 😆
Next time we may test SUVs. 🤓
What tyres were on the ID.7 GTX?
Wheel setup for all cars in the description 👍
Hi! 20“ with 235 on the front axle and 255 on the rear axle.
It would have been interesting to compare with a ID.7 Pro S with 19" tyres
Yes, add ~40km to the range.
@@ItsOnlyElectric but not driving 80-90 Km/h, then maybe 20 Km more range.
We also do range tests and I know how much work it is to do something like this with 5 cars. Respect.
Yes, it requires some effort. 😅
Thanks for this test, despite you (initially) not giving credit, it really puts the ID7 in the spotlight.. I’m actually considering it now!
VW is having some hard times, also because they invested so highly in electric cars. So let's give them some credit where it's due.
Nio with 100 kWh battery?
Yes
@ thx
@@T0_R0Nio have 75 and 100 battery and hopefully 150 soon
@@stigronnysuleskard5299according to Nio there is no plan for the 150kWh pack coming to Europe. But at least you can rent the 75 and upgrade to the 100 when needed on a monthly basis. I think that's a great idea to get initial cost down.
why does no-one use KM to KWH, instead of kwh to km?
kWh/km is now the official way of reporting consumption..WLTP uses it.
Now we just need Geely to build a Volvo or Polestar wagon on that Zeekr platform
Glad you enjoyed it!
Done full review for all cars that are more in depth including price.
Merry Christmas 🎁
Zeekr 001 has 21inch wheels so yes range will obviously be not as good when you're testing against cars with smaller wheels drop down to 18s or 19s and see a big difference.
Yes, 22" is the size the privilege comes with.
Great job! many people’s work for doing this!
Bit disappointed with the NIO, have you had the sensors issue when you tested it in depth?
No issues when I tested nios earlier. It was the slushy roads covering the sensors. Guess Tesla vision would do the same
Money no object Porsche - Budget is an issue? also no brainer ID7 for me please - coming from a long time BMW fan. Great test team and setting, thank you guys!
Good picks! Thanks
I expected more from Nio tbh, I’m not surprised for Zeerk 001, and BMW. Just hope someday I could afford to buy them 😅
@abri1997 me too. Consumption is a bit too high and battery buffer could be lower.
It's interesting to see that the Chinese cars had the worst consumption. I would not have expected that.
@ 55:30 the chart says both chinese cars consumed 20+ kWh / 100 km. I didn’t write the numbers 😁
True, but with swapping stations range issues are a thing of the past. 2900 stations in China already. Lots of Nio owners there never had to manually charge them for years.
Great video and test, well done! After watching the video I feel comfortable and happy with my choice to have ordered a BMW i5 xdrive40 Touring :)
Cool, nice choice! When do you get it?
@@ItsOnlyElectric in 3 to 4 months.
NIO's EL6 or ET7 would have been a better choice for this line up, not ET5 which is a much smaller car.
No, this is the only touring. Focusing on tourings only. 😊
But if comparing other aspects, then you are right 👍
Dont buy Chinese products.
Nice Video.
Wanna be pretty, so you have to suffer 🙂
As far as i know Zeekr is using LFP Batterys either. Maybe depending to the exact Model.
Another great car that i´m considering is the Xpeng G6. Great Value and low Power Consumption. Drove it for an day, really surprised.
Wish you a merry Christmas an a happy New Year 2025
@Afclogic merry Christmas 🎄
Showing again how efficient the german id drivetrains are. Not like most people think. German can build proper evs and also better than chinese ones.
Nio is definitely the future car
No, why should it be?
@@jline3701battery swapping for one 😂
@@Dep1369 You have to be very lucky if you have a swap station on your route. There are only 14 in germany and null (!) in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Croatia.
Thanks for this video which is both informative and exciting to watch. We're in the market for an EV in this class. What I'm missing is a broader perspective that reflects how large purchases of a family car are decided. In the real world, spouses who share budgetary and driving responsibilities on that proverbial drive to Idre should be given a voice. Can your partners do a "revenge of the sambos" version of the test? And why not give the kids a voice?
Hi, that's a good angle of it! Maybe next will be from other perspectives.
God jul 🎄
@@ItsOnlyElectric Bra jobbat! God Jul🎄
CHINESE EVs ARE AMAZING !!!!... TO BAD WE DON'T GET THEM HERE IN THE US...
ID.7❤
Wow, nice video and road trip here. You have put a good work with your friends. I'm a bit disappointed by the Porsche tho, but still, would love to test it out. And also the ID7 GTX 🙂 But anyway, thanks for that cool video
Hi man! Yes, it took a good amount of time and effort to execute. Did expect better range out of the Porsche?
@@ItsOnlyElectric More on the efficiency side I would say
It was running on bigger rims than standard. But I guess the efficiency is not really top notch. Maybe that's not the priority for Porsche, but rather being sporty and involving the driver.
@@ItsOnlyElectric Yes, agreed. I said I was disappointed, but don't get me wrong, the Taycan is still the EV I would definitely go for if I had the money for 😄
I get you
Otroligt fånigt test. 50 mil!
Top notch cars, videos and quality ❤
Thank you!

Well done Rebecca for promoting EV’s try another affordable EV next time please
Thanks Sally!
@ItsOnlyElectric If you have to buy today a family SUV electric in sweden , will you buy tesla Y or any other ? And will you buy AWD or RWD if you still choose tesla y.
I am living in Northern sweden. Extreme cold. About to buy SUV electric and looking for opinions and suggestions
Anyone reading this message can comment and suggest please.
Thanks for sharing. The i5 tends to be efficient. Congratulations to a fine car
Che bella la NiO
Zeekrs are thirsty muscle cas apparently, even my Zeekr X AWD which is quite smaller has a high consumption compared to similar cars in the market.
The consumption of the Zeekr is really disappointing.
Great test.👍
Thank you! Yes, I heard Zeekr Sweden is looking to add the choice of smaller rims and slimmer tires as a winter setup. Would really improve the consumption.
@@ItsOnlyElectricI would like to see a similar test with the Zeekr 7X in the future.
Zeekr 7X, Model Y, Xpeng G6, Nio EL6, Audi Q6 maybe?
@@ItsOnlyElectricYes, good collection. But I would replace the NIO EL6 with a Mercedes EQE SUV.
Both maybe?
Very cool comparison. Sometimes the consumption numbers for miles says kilometers. Just a small mistake 😉
Missed that, thanks for noticing
Hi. Now the new AUDI A6 Avant e-tron is the new longrange KING! It charges quicker than the ID.7 and consume lower! In February´25 it´s my own. 😀 I am disappointed with the NIO and ZEEKR. And BMW has a battery that is too small
Yes, the A6 is an interesting peace. Looking forward to test it.
A6 Avant does not consume less than the ID.7 Tourer according to the WLTP ratings. Consumption is comparable.
Interesting to see that you all liked the Zeekr that much. It really is a nice car but it really ain’t that practical
It has a unique blend of design, premium feel, space and tech. It's easy to like after you try it.
Excellent video, well done.

Sorry but still the range is the main issue… promissed range of these cars is mostly over 500km and in real condidtions all of them need re-charging before reaching 300km… who is fooling who here ???
NIO will defeat every cars in the future ❤❤❤❤❤
Ccp hello
@loginoff2007 it's not a station/tourer..the test only involves tourers.
NIO IS THE BEST 😊😊😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊
Nobody chose Nio... 🤔
WHY???
This one we've been waiting for! Stylish and fun to see everyone involved.
Yes, it's finally out. A lot of work to do it though, but so fun. Next time you're in!
Is it even raining? The nio guy said he didn't like the windshields, this can be just his perspective...smelling some bias here, no??
No, probably personal opinions. But to be honest the other cars are a bit unfair to compare to it since they are higher class cars.
@@ItsOnlyElectric got it, personal opinion again..that's fair
It's a pity that the Tesla Model S wasn't included in the comparison
