You can alter the setting speed in the settings, looks like a little flower, set to 0.5, sounds wobbly but it lets you see and follow which string and notes are being played. Hope this helps some.
What year Strat is in this video? I got one that looks the same with a little wood grain on the neck like that. Mine is 2006 US made. If so what pickups are stock in the 2006 US standard models anyone know?

With lick 1, I assume it'd be easier to play fast by barring the high e and b string for the first few notes of that run, like you do? Means your index moves less
