I’m Japanese by the way .If I were they,I would teach like this to you guys. しかし is only used in sentences in normal. I use" ~だけど" (though) Sosite is okay but Sorede is way much better than sosite. Sorekara is same thing with sosite. Sorede is better!! 役立ったら嬉しいです‼︎
I speak Japanese. so, I'll teach you about some Japanese words which involve in this video. しかし(shikashi)≒だけど(dakedo)≒でも(demo) しかしis often used in a formal situation. When we talk with friends, most of us don't usually use しかし. but for example, when we take a exam about Japanese, we use しかし. だけどis often used in the conversation with friends and family or casual relationship. だけどisn't able to be used in a formal situation. if you use だけど in the situation, others probably think it's not polite. でもis nearly だけど. but, it has a lit bit different meaning. だけどis more polite than using でも. でもis...like....It will be perceived as if you deny it quite a bit. 日本語の勉強を頑張って下さい!ファイト!
Being an english speaker it seems odd to put a line above the letter a in Jya. Am I crazy ? That letter sounds like an (ah) not (ay) Can someone comment why it's like that? Does that have a different meaning when a japanese speaker does that to teach someone in english ? Anyways I've liked these videos. It's helping little by little. Thank you kindly.

That’s what I thought. しかし is formal and used more in written form or on TV documents.
So, in order of formality / politeness
しかし
ですが
だけど
でも
