That scene came 2 years after this video was posted but this scene will probably be included in deleted scenes of Luca 2 whenever the sequel going to be released
I don’t consider these really _deleted_ scenes. They’re more like early concepts in animatic form. They were never _in_ the produced version, and so couldn’t be *_deleted_*_ from_ it. A _deleted_ scene would be a scene that was fully animated and voiced by the official voice actors and made part of the official story, but was removed later for reasons of time, or redundancy, or because it didn’t go over well with focus groups, or whatever. Don’t get me wrong. These were very interesting and fun and I’m glad I found this video, but as I understand the term, they’re not really _deleted_ scenes. More like alternate universe stories that never got fully produced.
the nightmare scene was so creepy lmfao, and the ercole design on the beach was literally the same dude from the final version but just dressing less fancy with a football t-shirt instead of the polo shirt with the sweater(better design than a damn fifa shirt)
I made this type of comment before but if ya’ll do make a sequel for Luca, I wish it could be like cutscenes between the present and the past where Luca is figuring himself out at school and Alberto still missing him, and every summer they discover more and more their feelings. And since this seems to take place in 90’s (italy obvi) they could make it a coming of age story and how they have to accept themselves in a world that- omg it’s like the message from the last movie awesome
@@teasaki That’s correct. Look also at the movie posters and such in Portorosso. Those were movies that were big in the sixties. Ditto for the specific model of Vespa and other vehicles. This movie, like _Encanto,_ was set in the 1960s.
My idea would be to do a series on DisneyXD or Disney+ about another Italian boy, a human, from somewhere else in Italy. His name would be some name commonly given to Italian baby boys in the 1950s, so making it reasonably common for a pre-teen boy in the 1960s (I did a quick search on that and came up with numerous options including Domingo, and he’d go by the nickname Dom, which could be the title of the series). The first season would focus on his last year of grade school. He has friends and adventures and such with them and his family. Then he graduates grade school and has to decide whether to go straight into the family trade or decide to aim for something higher and go to boarding school, which’d mean leaving his family and friends behind. He’s bright and inquisitive and wants to learn more than he could just being in the family trade, yet doesn’t want to disappoint his family and break from tradition, but to his delight his parents back him and reveal that they’d been saving up money in case he wanted more education. The second season has him go to a certain boarding school in Genova, where he meets new friends and eventually encounters a redheaded girl and her friend from Portorosso when they share a science class. One day the friend tells the class that he’s not really a human being, and dips his hand into the fishbowl, which transforms before the eyes of the others in the class including Dom. Only then do we learn that Dom was none other than one of the two boy classmates we saw in the drawings in the end credits of _Luca,_ both when Luca revealed his true nature, and later when Luca’s looking through the Celestron-type reflection telescope. The story would focus on Dom and be from his point of view, though, Luca and Guilia would only be secondary characters.
Ciccio was originally to be a sea monster forming a trio with Luca and Alberto? Interesting! Making him one of Ercole’s goons was cool, but given what happened at the end with that gang turning on Ercole, and the revealing of the Aragosta sisters as having been seafolk all along, what if there’d been some seafolk who blended in so well in Portorosso for decades that at least one had married a human and had at least one child, and that child was a hybrid who would _not_ automatically transform if he got wet, but only if he got wet _and willed the transformation,_ which he’d not do if he never knew that seafolk really existed? But when Alberto and Luca, and his parents, and the Aragosta sisters all transformed in front of him, Ciccio briefly wonders what it’s like, and since a rainshower was going on then, he suddenly transforms himself for the first time in his life. That would’ve been a nice connection between that preliminary and the final official versions of the story.
The pen and ink drawings are simple but I find them very charming

I would guess more like 60s Italy. Due to vehicles and as far as I know a last steam train operated in Italy in 1976.
