It's crazy how good the artists of this ARG were able to near perfectly replicate not only the Jim Henson puppet style, but how the characters are illustrated in books based off of his shows!
It goes to show how much love they have put in their project :)
Yes I used to have a Muppets book I adored and that’s what struck me first! How much it looks like the books is insane

Personally I feel, and strongly hope, that Wally is NOT the villain. The House maybe, but not Wally. That Wally is alive, he is trapped, and he is trying to protect visitors, and save his friends, makes the most sense to me. Perhaps escape... Yet, I also get the impression Wally has maybe been alone for quite some time, leaving the question of how intact his sanity is. Yet I do feel he is trying to save everyone. I get the strong sense of someone trying to get back his friends, and the neighborhood, that he loves and using the restoration team to do this, using even us. Even if it hurts. That he wants his friends back, he wants to be free. Yet he is scared, perhaps even desperate. I feel empathy for what is a fictional character of an ARG puppet horror project.
Exactly! It’s just so hard for me to believe that he’s the one behind all this. He seems like a victim. Like you said, he is trapped. But the painful thing is that he’s the only one that knows. He’s trying to protect us because unlike him, unlike his friends, it is not too late for us. We can turn back. He wants us to turn back. But Home wants all of us to “stay stay STAY”. But also, maybe he IS using us. Maybe the fact that his show was forgotten has made him become angry and desperate. He wants to be found, to be known. He wants things back the way they were and he will do anything to get it.
i like to speculate that the less people remember the show, the more the world of Home breaks down on itself; little by little, the residents become more self aware, more flaws and cracks can be seen in the towns facade, the more "real" and dangerous their reality becomes. Perhaps it all started in Wallys Home (ex. the abyss under Home), making him become self aware first, but instead of immediately going villain mode like everyone assumes, he attempted to keep it locked in his house in order to protect his friends. But of course, we know that that didnt work out in the end. Wally is acting so "unhinged" in the sites secrets because he has been stuck in that decaying hellhole for *50 years* and finally found a sliver of hope that could save his friends and his town; of course he would be unstable and desperate in his cries for help.

I'm leaning more towards the theory that Wally is a victim as well. Mostly because of the official WH content warnings which includes depression/isolation coupled with that one 'So Below' image which imo shows Wally imprisoned by Home begging to get out.
Plus it's much more interesting than your typical "niuk cute friendly puppet be actually dark and evil" story we've seen a dozen times already
I don't think he's the villain cuz he could kill everyone but he chooses not to and he's honestly very sweet
I find it interesting how wally's page besides the fact it says goodbye, is the only one that's described in present tense. All the other characters have words like 'had' or 'was' or just past tense descriptions while Wally does not. What that all means idk
The "you" page is also described in Present tense! i think it insinuates that something has happened to the other characters, except for Wally, And now that the viewer has stumbled upon the page "You" are there now too :D

@CondensedNewt I have a theory that the characters are sentients and there world has decayed since the show got canceled and the characters have fell into obscurity. Maybe there dropping like flies, could explain why Wally is desperate for attention

The wallpaper/colorful boarder the website itself is on actually has eyes on it that are watching you. Also when introducing everyone on the "The Neighborhood" page everyone is looking at something but Wally. Poppy is looking at her cookies, Frank is looking at the butterfly but Wally, he's staring directly at the viewer. As well as the rock Wally is sitting on when first entering the website has a painting of an eye on it when closely looked at.
Edit: Something I forgot to mention is that whilst Wally is looking at us Home is looking at Wally. As seen when entering the website and in one of the art pieces in the gallery where it has Wally looking at us and the caption "There He Is!"

My question is why isn't any one talking about how in the GIFS Poppy can be seen looking quite scared
She is described as the most frantic and frazzled neighbor.she always thinks about the worst outcome in a situation. I think it would make sense to have her looking scared due to her anxious personality
We noticed on the image of the catalogue in the photo gallery, with the A, B, and C, the item for D is scratched out. And when you look at the animated image of Frank blinking he's blinking out the morse code for the letter D.

8:09 There is something interesting about TV hidden link. When you watch it, it actually shows that the one recording the screen is a person(?) that at the end of video gets closer to the TV and the video ends. This project looks really cool and I can't wait to see more of it :) edit : OKAY SO I KINDA EDITED THE VIDEO and There is something interesting in there. I can deff see Wally's eyes,this and other clues just points out that connection between The Home and Wally is very important for the lore. edit2 : idk if I am seeing things at this point lol but after the Wally's eyes when you look closely, you can see people(?) or the person that recorder it in video I have no idea what that means but we might understand that later when we get more clues in future updates.

7:07 i think the messages get added automatically and this was a gamejacker trying to put himself in the story, which is why wally felt the need to respond that the person was lying and the person isn't there
The guest book messages are actually filtered. *Someone* had to let it through. Maybe 'I do not see you' relates to the hidden page with Wally staring and saying he "can't see you"?
Another thing to know is if you search up Wally’s name, it’s actually a ‘70 slang for someone being so obsessed/devoted with someone who’s toxic that you either fail or simply ignore the red flags. I found this out from a video and I had no idea this slang even existed until now
It's also an umbrella term for "vulnerable individuals"; e.g. someone who is idiotic/does things without thinking them through. It's also used to refer to a person who doesn't know what is happening to them or why they are waiting for such a long time in a particular place (e.g. "Why are you standing around waiting like a wally??"), which I think is rather fitting for Wally himself.

I've been seeing Wally on RUclips recently and was confused because I hadn't heard about Welcome Home. It's hard for me to imagine Wally being a kid's show character when he's so quiet but it looks like he has reason to be quiet. Now I can't wait to find out more.

I feel like Wally in reality is lonely and never really has any family or friends. I'm guessing the house is like a demon and feasted on Wallys pain and used "Wallys friends" souls to create this loop of pain for the demon (aka the house) to feast from. Wally is the puppet his friends are trapped souls, if you read their descriptions it always states things in the past tense, like they died.

It's actually such good work from the artists and conceptors that, when I saw fanarts coming on Pinterest yesterday, it managed to convince me, a full grown adult, it was a real TV show in the late 60s before I investigated a bit more !!!
No one mentioning this yet, but in that halloween dress up picture where all of the characters are dressed in costume. Wally is the only one dressed as a red devil.
Hmmm, kinda minor, but this can be another evidence that Wally shouldn't be trusted as a character.
one of the illustrations on the "About Welcome Home" section depicts Wally doing the same pose as Baphomet, and Sally's origin sounds similar to Lucifer's story!! very interesting stuff 👀👀
@@anonymous-kc5si I never noticed that before, do you mean that image comparing the "destroyed work" with the artist recreation? Because those are only the stuff on the About Us page (no Wally pictures). And looking at the paint scribbles and silhouette of the characters in the destroyed work really look like it's imitating Baphomet's pose.

I noticed on the links page, on the I love poppy link after it says love, the picture of poppy is just her eyes, but they look large shocked and scared. It may be nothing, but just wanted to mention it.
At 9:55 i don't think it stops on the houses eyes, I think it's a second variation of Wally's eyes.
all three of them are if you pay attention
it flashed through three sets of eyes and they're all wally's. the first set is neutral aka he has eyelids, the second set are more aware and don't have eyelids, then the third which we all know what they are
edit; i just found out that there are 4 sets and the third set are like the second on but the eyes are more darker and pupils are large but still lighter and smaller than the fourth set

Ignoring all the spooky things, the visuals of Welcome Home are absolutely gorgeous and I hope to see more of this artist’s art in the future.
Welcome Home genuinely has the makings of a real Muppet Show.
The Henson Company should really bring in this new talent to make this show happen.

@@mint_marigold1229 just looks like his handprint to me? We’re shown Wally painting his paw pads in another image, maybe he used that paint on the “rock” while it was still wet. To add evidence to this, several drawings and paint can be seen beside it, like what looks to be a tic-tac-toe game on the right. As for it being blue, like Barnaby, I guess it could be just the art style, painted to be blue before all the other art got added, or a sign that you may be right!
If you highlight all of page 8 on the guest book wally will have written "You're looking for me. Silly. Silly." on one of the empty cards!

10:29 IMO I feel as if in this Wally is somehow trying to keep us safe. I could be wrong, but when you opened that one gift to the tab where home has all these flashing eyes, it could mean that home is watching not just you, but everyone on the show. Thats why in 7:17 , that person could be the one Wally is talking to. And the file name of the response could be home responding. Because home isn't able to see who that person is. That's why Wally tells us to be quiet once he finds us. Because he knows that home is watching. And he wants to make sure that home doesn't see you. He wants to make sure another person isn't watched over by it. Which brings me to another theory I have: the person who wrote the letter AND the person Wally could be talking to could be sutck under home, in that black void. That's why home isn't able to see them. Because he CANT. Home could be like the secret narrator or 'leader' in a certain sense and Wally could be the only one out of the cast who doesn't always do what home tells him to do. Which is why he is the most watched over. Which is why he lives INSIDE home. Almost as a prisoner or someone who's being punished. Which is why he is seen as the villain in this whole thing. Home could be manipulating it to make him look like the bad guy in all of this when all he wants to do is help his friends and escape home.
One thing I’d like to point out, one of the images on the welcome home page seems to be a photo taken of a page of a book about the show in real life, with a yellow puppet hand holding the page down to the top right (1:48)
Also I’m not sure about this- but when I open up the page for the neighbourhood using an ipad or mobile device, the darkness under the door doesn’t appear

One of my favorites from the guest book is somebody saying, “show me a clown” and the drawing was Barnaby and it basically said, “idk so I asked frank and he said Barnaby, here is Barnaby.”

In the sixth image of the "What's welcome home page", the hand that is holding the image is a yellow puppet, it could mean that Wally is in our world right now. Is not like the first image, where we can see another puppet, but is part of the ad. Sorry for my bad english

The art featured on the prologue page was from a couple years ago; Clown said that the story has been revamped a lot since then and that those art pieces don't nessecarily reflect the coming events of the ARG. The idea that Wally created Barnaby is a pretty cool and creepy idea, though, I must admit.

their website reminds me of an old website that never came back where many hackers and anyone who has knowledge about how coding a website works have to find clues and hidden message in order to win I forgot the name sadly but basically everyone tries to find clues and images and charades and tries to solve them in order to get to another website it had some sort of a fly some sort of insect as a logo

Ngl, those secrets scared me, especially when Wally popped up at looked at you, it reminded me of at near the end of the video “Minako’s room” when Minako looks straight at you with those dull dark eyes. Pure nightmare fuel.
I'm not sure if anyone has commented it yet, but on page 8, if you look at all the empty boxes on the right side, you will eventually find text from "WaLLy". I forgot what he had said, but I think it's the house speaking FOR Wally. Then, if you go to the empty line under it and go to the middle box, you'll see text from the real Wally. So, I think the house can literally possess Wally.
You have to keep hilighting the empty boxes on the right side until you find the text, and then under it, you will find the other text. So it would look like the hearts shown below:

The blue rock wally sits on in that one pic(cant remember if it was on the homepage) not only has an eye on it but it looks like Barnaby its been freaking me out ever since i noticed 💀
Honestly this ARG has a weird nostalgic feel... I don't know if it is because I was born in the early 2000s and the influence between old and newer cartoons or what but it has that childhood feel.

On the website there’s a picture of all the characters dressed up for Halloween, Wally is dressing up as a devil, (which I also find ironic because his last name is “Darling”) does anyone also think that it’s connect to the “so-below” picture and url? “As above, so below” has a lot of meanings to it but it does talk about things happening on an alternate plain(s) Are there people stuck inside the show??? Is Wally luring people into it????

I found the image message one (The guestbook secret) after misclicking and it had to be on an eerie reply. It was someone saying "Hey Wally I hope you're cool and not super evil that'd be a real bummer" and the reply I found in the image for that one was "You don't like me neighbor"
I didn't go through them all, but the ones I did go through made me laugh and shudder with the combination of wholesome and somewhat eerie replies-
